One More Official Trailer for Netflix's 'War Machine' Starring Brad Pitt

    War Machine Trailer

Netflix has dropped another amusing new trailer for War Machine, the war black comedy from Australian director David Michod. We’ve already seen a few trailers for this before, but this new one gives us even more of Brad Pitt as the goofy general overseeing the Afghanistan war. Described as a “pitch-black war story for our times”, this seems like a brutally honest look at America’s modern wars. The full ensemble cast includes Tilda Swinton, Sir Ben Kingsley, Anthony Michael Hall, Topher Grace, Will Poulter, Keith Stanfield, Emory Cohen, John Magaro, RJ Cyler, Scoot McNairy and Meg Tilly. I’m still very much looking forward to this, mostly because of David Michod, but also because Brad Pitt looks hilarious in this role. Plus it seems like a brutally honest takedown of the American wars in the Middle East. Check this out. ›››

  • Official Trailer for Gothic Horror 'The Limehouse Golem' with Bill Nighy

Official Trailer for Gothic Horror 'The Limehouse Golem' with Bill Nighy

    The Limehouse Golem Trailer

“He who observes spills no less blood than he who inflicts the blow.” Lionsgate has debuted a trailer for The Limehouse Golem, a new gothic horror film that premiered at the Toronto and Sitges Film Festivals last year. Bill Nighy stars a London detective investigating the mysterious case of the “Limehouse Golem”, a meticulous serial killer haunting the streets of Victorian London. The cast includes Olivia Cooke, Sam Reid, Douglas Booth, Eddie Marsan, Daniel Mays, Maria Valverde, and Morgan Watkins. I do remember hearing some good things out of the film festivals last year, and this certainly looks interesting. There’s obviously some twists and turns, hopefully, and it seems like a chilling gothic thriller the likes of Sherlock Holmes meets Jack the Ripper. This may be a perfect film for October, or anytime for horror fans. ›››

  • New Trailer for 'The Hitman's Bodyguard' Starring Jackson & Reynolds

New Trailer for 'The Hitman's Bodyguard' Starring Jackson & Reynolds

    The Hitman's Bodyguard Trailer

“I’ll be safer alone.” Lionsgate has released a second official trailer for the upcoming comedy The Hitman’s Bodyguard, about the world’s best bodyguard assigned to protect a hitman who has been killing his clients all along. The first red band trailer was hilarious, and this one has some great scenes in it, too. Though this really shines with the red band label. This wacky action comedy stars Ryan Reynolds as the world’s top bodyguard who is hired to protect a hit man who must testify at the International Court of Justice. Samuel L. Jackson plays the notorious hit man, and they must get over their differences in order to make it to the trial on time. Also starring Gary Oldman, Salma Hayek, Elodie Yung, Joaquim de Almeida, and Sam Hazeldine. This looks fun, I just hope it’s not too dumb. There’s some nice potential here, bring it on. ›››

  • One More Full-Length Trailer for Pixar's 'Cars 3' Focuses on the Rivalry

One More Full-Length Trailer for Pixar's 'Cars 3' Focuses on the Rivalry

    Cars 3 Trailer

“You have no idea what a pleasure it is to finally beat you… Enjoy your retirement.” DIsney-Pixar has released another new full-length trailer for Pixar’s sequel Cars 3. From all the other trailers we’ve already seen, we know the story is about Lightning McQueen dealing with being beaten by younger, more high tech racers. This trailer features more footage of rival racer Jackson Storm (voiced by Armie Hammer) and some of the goofy antics (including a VR scene) that Lightning gets into trying to get back to being the best. Owen Wilson returns as McQueen, with a fun voice cast including Armie Hammer, Bonnie Hunt, Tony Shalhoub, Katherine Helmond, and Paul Dooley. This actually looks better than expected, but perhaps that’s because I don’t hate this franchise as much as some other film fans do. Rev things up below. ›››

  • First Trailer for Paranoia Drama 'Woodshock' Featuring Kirsten Dunst

First Trailer for Paranoia Drama 'Woodshock' Featuring Kirsten Dunst

    Woodshock Trailer

“Are you sure you want to do this?” A24 has revealed the first official trailer for a psychological drama starring Kirsten Dunst titled Woodshock. This is the “exquisite feature film debut of visionary fashion designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy” of Rodarte. Kirsten Dunst stars as a woman suffering from a “profound loss”, who falls deeper into paranoia after taking a potent drug. The full cast includes Joe Cole, Lorelei Linklater, Steph DuVall, and Pilou Asbæk (from Ghost in the Shell). This looks like much more than a stoner film, with some seriously trippy, experimental visuals. I’m not sure I’m into this, seems more like an art piece that belongs in museums than anything that belongs in cinemas. But I haven’t seen it. Take a look. ›››

  • Fun Teaser Trailer for Netflix's Action Comedy Film 'Game Over, Man!'

Fun Teaser Trailer for Netflix's Action Comedy Film 'Game Over, Man!'

    Game Over, Man! Trailer

“That is my bad! And now we know…” Netflix has unveiled the teaser trailer for an action comedy titled Game Over, Man!, the first feature film made by the “Workaholics” group. The film stars all three guys from “Workaholics” – Adam Devine, Anders Holm and Blake Anderson – and is directed by one of the creators of the show as well. These three actors have already landed other major roles in all kinds of movies, but this time they’re finally coming together to tell a story of three stoner gamer friends about to sign a big financing deal when their investor is kidnapped by terrorists. This teaser doesn’t contain any real footage, mostly because it’s in the middle of filming, but also because it’s still a year away from release. Quite a big tease from Netflix for a film so far away from release, but they must be excited about it. Enjoy this teaser. ›››

  • Must Watch: Second Trailer for Denis Villeneuve's 'Blade Runner 2049'

Must Watch: Second Trailer for Denis Villeneuve's 'Blade Runner 2049'

    Blade Runner 2049 Trailer

“There is an order to things. That’s what we do here – we keep order.” Warner Bros has unveiled the second trailer for the new Blade Runner 2049 movie, a sequel to the original seminal sci-fi classic Blade Runner, first released in 1982. Directed by one of my favorite working filmmakers, Denis Villeneuve, with Ridley Scott consulting as well, the more we see from this movie, the better it looks. This direct sequel takes place 30 years after the original story, and stars Ryan Gosling as the new LAPD Officer who must find Deckard, who has been missing all this time. Harrison Ford returns to play Deckard, and the new cast of 2049 also includes Ana de Armas, Jared Leto, Dave Bautista, Mackenzie Davis, Robin Wright, Barkhad Abdi, Lennie James as well as David Dastmalchian. This looks absolutely spectacular, with stunning cinematography thanks to Roger Deakins, and the same grittiness as the first one. I so can’t wait to see this. ›››

  • New Trailer for Stephen King's 'It' Movie Focuses on the Group of Kids

New Trailer for Stephen King's 'It' Movie Focuses on the Group of Kids

    It Movie Trailer

“When you’re alone as a kid, the monsters see you as weaker. You don’t even know they’re getting closer until it’s too late.” Warner Bros has unleashed a chilling new TV trailer for director Andrés Muschietti’s fresh cinematic adaptation of Stephen King’s It, the creepy horror story about the evil clown. They finally show his face! I am digging the marketing for this movie so far. The dynamic with the kids feels authentic, like a mash-up of Stranger Things and Super 8, but with a very creepy clown dude haunting them. This new version of It stars Bill Skarsgård as the villain, Pennywise. Also featuring Jaeden Lieberher, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Nicholas Hamilton. This is looking way better than I expected so far, it’s now one of my most anticipated. ›››

  • One Final Trailer for Patty Jenkins' 'Wonder Woman' Starring Gal Gadot

One Final Trailer for Patty Jenkins' 'Wonder Woman' Starring Gal Gadot

    Wonder Woman Trailer

“Be careful with mankind, Diana. They do not deserve you.” Warner Bros has released one final trailer for the Wonder Woman movie, due out in less than a month. This is technically the fourth trailer, and likely the final trailer we’ll see before release, but it’s one of the best ones yet. This solo spin-off movie in the DC Universe is set during World War I stars Gal Gadot (from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) as the Amazonian princess-warrior Diana who becomes Wonder Woman. Patty Jenkins directs, with a full cast featuring Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis, Danny Huston, Ewen Bremner, Samantha Jo and Saïd Taghmaoui. There has been criticism about WB not marketing this movie enough, but with this epic trailer there’s plenty to be excited about. Fire it up. ›››

  • Another Red Band Trailer for Girls' Night Party Comedy 'Rough Night'

Another Red Band Trailer for Girls' Night Party Comedy 'Rough Night'

    Rough Night Trailer

“Can you handle the night?” Sony Pictures is ending the week with the second official red band trailer for Rough Night, a wild all-women comedy formerly known as Rock That Body, which is also the feature directorial debut of “Broad City” director Lucia Aniello. The film stars five women who get together for a wild bachelorette party – Scarlett Johansson (as the bride) along with Zoë Kravitz, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer, and Kate McKinnon. After deciding to get a stripper, they accidentally kill him and have to figure out what to do. I prefer this to the other all-women party comedy Girls Trip, it just seems funnier. Nice nod to Weekend at Bernie’s in this, too. This actually looks like it might be funny enough to go see in theaters. ›››
