Rousing Second Trailer for 'Wonder' Starring Jacob Tremblay as Auggie

    Wonder Movie Trailer

“I knew I’d never be an ordinary kid.” Choose kindness! Lionsgate has debuted a second official trailer for the film Wonder, adapted from R.J. Palacio’s book of the same name. Wonder stars acclaimed young actor Jacob Tremblay (seen in Room, Before I Wake, The Book of Henry), who plays Auggie, a kid with an awkward facial difference who decides to go to public school despite being made fun of by other students. He makes a few new friends who help him learn to be himself. The full cast includes Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson as Auggie’s parents, and also featuring Daveed Diggs, Mandy Patinkin, Sonia Braga, Izabela Vidovic, Ali Liebert, and Bryce Gheisar. This looks so wonderful, I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a huge hit this fall. I like that it is all about laughter and good friends – the most important things in life. ›››

Big-Game Hunting is Questioned in Trailer for 'Trophy' Documentary

    Trophy Doc Trailer

“We have to keep this fight going!” The Orchard has debuted an official trailer for a documentary called Trophy, examining the world of big game trophy hunters and how it connects to wildlife conservation. This premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in competition earlier this year, and has played at other fests all over the world. The description for this says it will make you question “what is right, what is wrong and what is necessary in order to save the great species of the world from extinction.” This seems like it would make a great double feature with the other wildlife doc The Ivory Game (about elephant poaching) from last year. I will admit I’m curious about seeing this, and I’m a bit sad I missed it at Sundance. Take a look below. ›››

  • Official Trailer for Darren Aronofsky's 'Mother!' with Jennifer Lawrence

Official Trailer for Darren Aronofsky's 'Mother!' with Jennifer Lawrence

    Darren Aronofsky's Mother! Trailer

“What do they want?” “God help you…” Paramount has debuted the official full-length trailer for Darren Aronofsky’s new film titled Mother!, or actually correctly mother!, without any capitalization. This looks super creepy and mysterious and dark, which is not what I was expecting at all, but damn does it still look thrilling as hell. Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem star as a couple whose relationship is “tested” when uninvited guests arrive at their secluded home. The full cast includes Ed Harris, Michelle Pfeiffer, Domhnall Gleeson, Brian Gleeson, Stephen McHattie, Kristen Wiig, and Stefan Simchowitz. With a score by Jóhann Jóhannsson. This looks like it is reminiscent of Shutter Island and a few other psychological horror thrillers, all with Aronofsky’s unique touches and incredibly powerful performances. ›››

  • Danny Pudi Stars in Trailer for Coming-of-Age Film 'The Tiger Hunter'

Danny Pudi Stars in Trailer for Coming-of-Age Film 'The Tiger Hunter'

    The Tiger Hunter

“I only wish to live up to my father’s example…” An official US trailer has debuted for an indie coming-of-age comedy titled The Tiger Hunter, starring young actor Danny Pudi best known from “Community”. Pudy plays Sami Malik, a young Indian boy who comes to America in the 1970s in order to impress his crush back home, as well as his father, a legendary tiger hunter. But of course he ends up working a low-end job and meets some wacky friends who he hopes will convince them of his success, even if it’s not entirely true. The entire cast includes Rizwan Manji, Jon Heder, Karen David, Kevin Pollak, Sam Page, Anand Desai-Barochia, and Parvesh Cheena. This looks oddly charming and amusing in a quaint way. Enjoy. ›››

  • Second Trailer for 'Leatherface' Horror Prequel Cuts Out All the Blood

Second Trailer for 'Leatherface' Horror Prequel Cuts Out All the Blood

    Leatherface Horror Trailer

“You know his legend, witness the creation.” Lionsgate has revealed a second official trailer for the horror prequel Leatherface, telling the origin of the man who would become known as “Leatherface”. This is a much more tame green band trailer without any blood, compared to the much more violent red band. This is the long-awaited official prequel to Tobe Hooper’s original horror classic, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre from 1974. In this film, Jessica Madsen plays one of four inmates from a mental hospital – the other three played by Sam Coleman, Sam Strike, and James Bloor. They kidnap a nurse, Vanessa Grasse, and take her on a “road trip from hell.” The full cast also includes Stephen Dorff, Lili Taylor, and Julian Kostov. I’m still not sure about this movie, especially with this bloodless trailer, but give it a look anyway. ›››

  • Antonio Banderas & Olga Kurylenko in Trailer for 'Gun Shy' Comedy

Antonio Banderas & Olga Kurylenko in Trailer for 'Gun Shy' Comedy

    Gun Shy Trailer

“Rock out with your glock out.” Saban Films has debuted the first official trailer for an action comedy called Gun Shy, formerly known as Salty (which is the title that appears on the very early poster art seen below the trailer). The movie stars Antonio Banderas as an over-the-top rockstar named Turk Henry, with a wife played by Olga Kurylenko. She gets kidnapped while the two are vacationing in Chile, and Banderas recruits some wacky people to help him find and free her. Sounds like a fun straight-to-VHS concept for an action movie, why not. The full cast includes Ben Cura, Mark Valley, Aisling Loftus, David Mitchell, Jeremy Swift, and Jesse Johnson. This really looks ridiculous, but it may be a fun beer-and-pizza rental. ›››

  • Second Trailer for 'Same Kind of Different as Me' with Greg Kinnear

Second Trailer for 'Same Kind of Different as Me' with Greg Kinnear

Same Kind of Different as Me Trailer

“Amazing how far a little tender lovin’ care can go.” Paramount and PureFlix have debuted another new official trailer for the heartfelt drama Same Kind of Different as Me, from director Michael Carney. This was originally scheduled to open in February, but was delayed seven months and is now being released in October, if anyone still wants to see it. Greg Kinnear stars as a family man who befriends a homeless man, played by Djimon Hounsou, and changes his life through a bit of kindness and friendship. The film also stars Renée Zellweger in one of her other major roles (aside from Bridget Jones’s Baby) after her hiatus, along with Jon Voight, Olivia Holt, Ty Parker and others. This doesn’t look any better than it did when we posted the first trailer last year, but perhaps these a few good performances in this worth appreciating. ›››

  • Kill Or Be Killed – First Trailer for Voyeur Horror Film 'Keep Watching'

Kill Or Be Killed – First Trailer for Voyeur Horror Film 'Keep Watching'

    Keep Watching Trailer

“They want us to fight back!” Voltage Pictures has released an official trailer for a horror film called Keep Watching, a creepy voyeur thriller about a family imprisoned by intruders. The concept of this one is a bit uncomfortable, but that’s what makes it horror, right? A bunch of cameras are rigged up in a house where a family is tormented, while live viewers can watch as they’re killed off. But they don’t know if what they’re watching is real or staged, they’re just told to “keep watching”. (Cue eye roll now.) The cast includes Bella Thorne, Natalie Martinez, Christopher Baker, Ioan Gruffudd, and Chandler Riggs. This looks a bit too bland and uninteresting, despite the freaky concept. And I’m guessing no studio wants to deal with the backlash of releasing a movie about watching people die, but it is finished and just waiting for a release. ›››

  • Official UK Trailer for 'Moon Dogs' Road Trip to Glasgow Indie Movie

Official UK Trailer for 'Moon Dogs' Road Trip to Glasgow Indie Movie

    Moon Dogs Trailer

“So what’s the deal with the two love birds in the back?” Amber Content has debuted a trailer for a film called Moon Dogs, which won Best International First Feature at Galway Film Fleadh 2016. No, this isn’t an animated movie about dogs who go to the moon. Moon Dogs is about two teenage step-brothers, Michael and Thor, who take a road trip from Shetland to Glasgow for very different reasons. They’re joined by an aspiring Irish singer named Caitlin, and if you can’t already guess, things get heated when both boys fall for her. Jack Parry-Jones and Christy O’Donnell star, along with Tara Lee, Chris Donald, Tam Dean Burn, Tanya Franks, Geoffrey Newland, and Shauna Macdonald. This looks like a very odd, spunky, entertaining little coming-of-age film, which was nominated for a BAFTA Scotland last year. Check this out. ›››

  • Full Theatrical Trailer for Hand-Painted Van Gogh Film 'Loving Vincent'

Full Theatrical Trailer for Hand-Painted Van Gogh Film 'Loving Vincent'

    Loving Vincent Trailer

“You’re not going to stir things up again, are you?” Good Deed Entertainment has launched a theatrical trailer for the upcoming release of the film Loving Vincent, the very special hand-painted film telling the story of famed Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh. We’ve already featured a few trailers for this last year, but with a release date set for September they’re finally giving this a stronger marketing push. The voice cast includes Aidan Turner, Saoirse Ronan, Eleanor Tomlinson, Helen McCrory, Chris O’Dowd and Douglas Booth. To top it off, the film features a score by the one-and-only Clint Mansell. I really love this animation, it’s so unique and I’m still totally impressed they actually hand painted every single frame individually (behind-the-scenes here). I hope the film is as beautiful as the paintings. Can’t wait to see this. ›››
