New Official US Trailer for Japanese Animation Sensation 'Your Name'

    Your Name Trailer

“I feel like I’ve been in a strange dream.” FUNimation has released an official US trailer for the upcoming US release of the Japanese anime hit film Your Name. You’ve probably heard about this film already, or at least heard the name before. Your Name opened in Japan last August, and went on to become the highest-earning Japanese film ever globally. It made over $230 million in Japan alone, playing in the #1 spot for 13 weeks, making it a sensational success in Japanese cinema. The film is finally about to open in US theaters this spring, and there’s a new trailer with subtitles below to watch as an introduction. There is an English-language dubbed version of the film being released, but we always prefer the original version with subtitles. Featuring the voices of Ryûnosuke Kamiki, Mone Kamishiraishi, Ryô Narita and Aoi Yuki. Enjoy. ›››

Two New Trailers for Ben Wheatley's Comical Shoot Out Film 'Free Fire'

    Free Fire Trailer

“I forgot who’s side I’m on!” A brand new 60-second trailer has launched for the film Free Fire, the latest from British filmmaker Ben Wheatley. This has been playing at film festivals all over the world since it premiered at midnight at the Toronto Film Festival last fall. Free Fire is one big shoot out film set entirely inside a warehouse in Boston in the 1970s. It’s a throwback to action films from the 70s where it’s nothing but a bunch of people shooting at each other. This ensemble action movie stars Sharlto Copley (who is hilarious in this), Armie Hammer, Brie Larson, Cillian Murphy, Noah Taylor, Sam Riley, Michael Smiley & Jack Reynor. This is definitely worth seeing whenever it shows up at your local cinema. Enjoy. ›››

  • Official Trailer for 'Becoming Bond' Documentary on George Lazenby

Official Trailer for 'Becoming Bond' Documentary on George Lazenby

    Becoming Bond Documentary

“Is there romance? Yes. Is there comedy? Yes. Sex? A little. Drugs? Yeah, a little. Violence? A little. Are there twists and turns? Yes.” Hulu has revealed a trailer for a new documentary titled Becoming Bond, telling the story of Australian actor George Lazenby, who played James Bond in one 007 movie. This isn’t exactly a straightforward doc. Not only does it include an extensive sit-down interview with George Lazenby, but to bring his story to life, this features numerous recreations. Josh Lawson plays Lazenby, who was a poor Australian car mechanic before he got the 007 gig. The full cast includes Jeff Garlin, Kassandra Clementi, Landon Ashworth, Jake Johnson, Jane Seymour, and Sofia Mattsson. As a huge James Bond fan (who loves OHMSS), I’ll watch this just because it’s about Bond, but man the footage looks rough. ›››

  • Trailer for Work-Life Balance Drama 'A Family Man' with Gerard Butler

Trailer for Work-Life Balance Drama 'A Family Man' with Gerard Butler

    A Family Man Trailer

“We’re your family, Dane! You’re going to wish you had this time back.” Voltage Pictures has released an official trailer for the indie drama A Family Man, starring Gerard Butler as a career headhunter who must struggle with the work-family balance when his 10-year-old son is diagnosed with cancer. This was originally titled The Headhunter’s Calling, and it first premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last year. In addition to Gerard Butler, the full ensemble cast features Alison Brie, Gretchen Mol, Willem Dafoe, Kathleen Munroe, Dustin Milligan, Alfred Molina, Julia Butters, and Anupam Kher. I hate to say it, but this looks so sappy and emotionally manipulative, that it’s hard to take it seriously. I’m much more interested in seeing Gerard Butler in Geostorm than I am this movie. But these stories still need to be told. ›››

The Most Hated Woman in America Trailer

“Don’t you know who I am?!” Netflix has debuted a trailer for a film titled The Most Hated Woman in America, which is also premiering at the SXSW Film Festival this month (like many other Netflix films). This tells the true story of the much debated rise and demise of a woman, named Madalyn Murray O’Hair, who was the founder of the “American Atheists” organization. She quickly became the “most hated woman in America”, hence the title. Melissa Leo plays O’Hair, and the cast includes Juno Temple, Adam Scott, Josh Lucas, Vincent Kartheiser, Peter Fonda, Michael Chernus & Rory Cochrane. As interesting as this story seems, I’ll watch it purely for Melissa Leo. She looks totally unrecognizable, always cool to see. ›››

    Small Crimes Trailer

“It’s happening all over again…” Netflix has unveiled an official trailer for an indie drama titled Small Crimes, from writer/director E.L. This film has an excellent supporting cast including Gary Cole, Jacki Weaver, Robert Forster, Molly Parker, Michael Kinney, Pat Healy, and Macon Blair (who co-wrote the script). “My name is Eddie Garrett and I am an idiot. I am addicted to losing.” Netflix recently debuted the trailer for the latest film from writer/director Joe Swanberg, titled Win it All, which is premiering at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, TX. Win it All stars Jake Johnson (who also co-wrote the script) as a gambler who is given the task of watching over a bag of money for a friend in jail, but he can’t help spending some of it. Of course, he loses it and then his friend is expected to be released early. The cast also includes Keegan-Michael Key, Joe Lo Truglio, Aislinn Derbez, Jose Antonio Garcia, and Cliff Chamberlain. This looks somewhat fun to watch, with some amusing moments, but I’m just not feeling this film. Take a look. ›››
