  • Second Official Trailer for Mysterious Indie Thriller 'The Strange Ones'

Second Official Trailer for Mysterious Indie Thriller 'The Strange Ones'

    The Strange Ones Trailer

“Remember – it’s not real… It’s all in your head.” Vertical Entertainment has debuted a full-length official trailer for an indie crime thriller titled The Strange Ones, to follow-up the teaser from a few weeks ago. This mysterious thriller from directors Christopher Radcliff & Lauren Wolkstein first premiered at the SXSW Film Festival earlier this year. The story follows two travelers as they make their way across a remote American landscape, with odd things happening. This stars Alex Pettyfer, James Freedson-Jackson, Emily Althaus, Tobias Campbell, Owen Campbell, and Gene Jones. The film won a Special Jury prize at SXSW for the Breakthrough Performance of James Freedson-Jackson. The more they show us, the more intrigued I am by this, there’s something else going on and I can’t help but say I’m curious to find out. ›››

Third & Hopefully Final Trailer for Comedy Sequel 'Daddy's Home 2'

    Daddy's Home 2 Trailer

“We’re back, with more daddies.” Paramount has unwrapped one more trailer for comedy sequel Daddy’s Home 2, from director Sean Anders. This is hopefully the final trailer for this movie, because I want to move on and forget about it as soon as possible. Daddy’s Home 2 brings back stars Mark Wahlberg, Will Ferrell, and Linda Cardellini, and introduces the fathers of the fathers, including John Lithgow and Mel Gibson, with an appearance by John Cena. I don’t know who actually wanted a sequel to Daddy’s Home, and while I’m sure many will say they did, I don’t recall the first movie getting so much acclaim that this was necessary. But that’s me, not my kind of funny. It looks like an awful Christmas Vacation wannabe. ›››

Watch: Powerful Polish Short Film 'Everything Will Be Nice' Set in NYC

Everything Will Be Nice Short Film

“Where is that money, Piotrek?” We’re proud to exclusively debut an award-winning short film online, titled Everything Will Be Nice, or Wszystko Bedzie Fajnie in Polish. This short, directed by and starring Polish actor/filmmaker Jan Kutrzeba, touches on immigration, love, trust, poverty, and loneliness. It was made out of love by a handful of immigrant filmmakers and two talented Polish actors living in New York. Kutrzeba “wanted to share the story of what it’s truly like for immigrants trying to make it to the next day in the city, surviving solely on the love the characters share with each other.” It was shot and it’s presented as one long, single-take involving a Polish couple arguing at the morning in their apartment in the city. This is an impressive short, that played at a number of film festivals last year. It’s worth taking a moment to watch. ›››

  • Official Trailer for Wacky Horror Comedy 'Attack of the Killer Donuts'

Official Trailer for Wacky Horror Comedy 'Attack of the Killer Donuts'

    Attack of the Killer Donuts

“We’ve eaten them for years, now it’s their turn!” Level 33 Entertainment has dropped a trailer for a goofy new horror comedy film titled Attack of the Killer Donuts, which is indeed about donuts that become bloody thirsty killers. They’ve thought of everything, haven’t they? Maybe this is the perfect trailer to watch the day after Halloween, although it’ll probably give you the munchies for donuts (just make sure the ones you buy aren’t bloody thirsty killers). Attack of the Killer Donuts stars Justin Ray, Kayla Compton, Ben Heyman, Kassandra Voyagis, Michael Swan, and Aaron Groben. On one hand, it’s kind of cool that something this wacky still exists (with its own theme song?!). On the other, this looks as awful as it sounds. ›››

  • First Trailer for Creepy Horror 'The Doll' Featuring Valeria Lukyanova

First Trailer for Creepy Horror 'The Doll' Featuring Valeria Lukyanova

    The Doll Trailer

“They can’t handle it when guys upgrade to a better model… and this, my friend, is a much better model.” Gravitas Ventures has unveiled the first brief teaser trailer for the horror thriller film The Doll, starring the woman actually known as “The Human Barbie.” The as-expected plot involves two guys ordering a model from an escort service, only to discover that Natasha is a possessed doll created by a mad doctor that only wants to kill. How original. Ukrainian model Valeria Lukyanova stars as “The Doll”, making her feature debut as an actress after getting popular as “The Human Barbie” online. The rest of the film’s cast includes Christopher Lenk, Anthony Del Negro, Don Scribner, Ron Jeremy, Mindy Robinson, and Lilian Lev. I don’t know if it’s just this trailer, but this looks pretty terrible. Really, nothing about this looks good. ›››

  • Margot Robbie in a New Full-Length, Red Band Trailer for 'I, Tonya'

Margot Robbie in a New Full-Length, Red Band Trailer for 'I, Tonya'

    I, Tonya Movie Trailer

“I made you a champion, knowing you’d hate me for it.” Neon has launched a new red band trailer for the indie comedy I, Tonya, which was a huge hit at the Toronto Film Festival where it first premiered. From director Craig Gillespie (Lars and the Real Girl, Fright Night, Million Dollar Arm, The Finest Hours), the film tells a fictional, darkly comedic version of the story of figure skater Tonya Harding, who planned an attack on her rival Nancy Kerrigan in 1994. Margot Robbie stars as Harding, and she looks sensational, as usual from Robbie. Allison Janney also co-stars and it looks she also gives like another outstanding performance. The rest of the cast includes Sebastian Stan, Paul Walter Hauser, Julianne Nicholson, Bobby Cannavale, Mckenna Grace, plus Caitlin Carver as Nancy Kerrigan. Based on this awesome trailer, I have a feeling this might be one of my favorite films. Still excited to watch it as soon as I can. Enjoy. ›››

  • AFF Review: James Franco IS Tommy Wiseau in 'The Disaster Artist'

AFF Review: James Franco IS Tommy Wiseau in 'The Disaster Artist'

    The Disaster Artist Review

There’s nothing like The Room, right? A film so bad it’s so good. The Disaster Artist is an attempt to tell the story about the making of Tommy Wiseau’s The Room, and the friendship behind it, and their dream to become famous, and make a movie that everyone would love. Directed by and starring James Franco, this film is much more of an homage to the cult classic that is The Room, as well as a nod to the passion it takes to make something so terrible. To dream so big and yet fail so spectacularly, but still embrace that failure, and revel in the joy it (somehow) brings to some people. It’s not an outright comedy, more of a drama with funny scenes, that also perfectly recreates The Room and pays tribute to the one-and-only Tommy Wiseau. ›››

  • Full International Trailer for Nimród Antal's 'The Whiskey Robber' Film

Full International Trailer for Nimród Antal's 'The Whiskey Robber' Film

    The Whiskey Robber Trailer

“Viszkis was one of the most famous bank robbers in Hungary. He drank whiskey before every robbing. This is his story.” An official trailer has debuted for a film titled The Whiskey Robber, also known as The Whiskey Bandit or A Viszkis in Hungarian. This is the latest feature film from Hungarian-American filmmaker Nimród Antal, of Kontroll, Vacancy, Armored, and Predators in the past. The Whiskey Robber tells the true story of a Hungarian man named Attila Ambrus, also known as “Viszkis”, who robbed 29 financial institutions in Budapest between 1993 and 1999. The only clue left behind at the crime scenes was the distinct aroma of whiskey. This looks like a fascinating, thrilling story of a man who just wanted to be happy and realized the only way to feel that was to collect money – mainly by robbing banks. Check this out. ›››

  • The Best Modern Teaser Trailer Ever – A24's Line Rider 'Slice' Trailer

The Best Modern Teaser Trailer Ever – A24's Line Rider 'Slice' Trailer

    Slice Movie Teaser Trailer

“Ready to get sliced?” Wha?! This teaser trailer is awesome! A24 has quietly revealed a new teaser trailer for the horror Slice, an indie comedy about a killer taking out pizza deliver guys. This teaser is based on the popular internet game “Line Rider” (play it here) and features a pizza delivery dude on a motorbike riding down through lines and pizza slice triangles. Eventually some footage appears in the pizza slices, but not much. A24 was going to release the film this year, but pushed it back until sometime in 2018. Slice stars mixtape master Chance The Rapper (aka Chance Bennett) and was filmed “quietly” in Chicago. The rest of the cast includes Zazie Beetz & Paul Scheer. I’m still excited to see this. Seems like it might be a goofy, fun comedy about pizza delivery drivers trying to stay alive in the midst of these killings. Enjoy this teaser. ›››
