WTF is This? Casper Van Dien in Trailer for Sci-Fi Film 'Ratpocalypse'

    Ratpocalypse Trailer

“If they think we’re going down without a fight… Oh hell gnaw!” Gravitas Ventures has released a trailer for a WTF film called Ratpocalypse, which surprisingly has nothing to do with the documentary Rat Film, nor does it have to do with the current state of the world. Well, but it kinda does. The film was already released in Moscow in 2015 and is just now getting a VOD release in America. Casper Van Dien stars as a Senator who delivers a speech in Moscow about corruption, claiming it will turn met into “rats”. Suddenly this starts happening and people start turning into rats for real. Also starring Victoria Summer, Linda Bella, Catherine Oxenberg, Robert Craighead, Ilya Slovesnik, Natalia Lapina, Lidiya Korotko, and Alexander Khachatryan. The footage in the trailer is even weirder than it seems, if you dare to look. ›››

  • New Full-Length Trailer for Country Music Romance 'Forever My Girl'

New Full-Length Trailer for Country Music Romance 'Forever My Girl'

    Forever My Girl Trailer

“Sometimes you just gotta let go, take a walk on the wild side.” Roadside Attractions & LD Entertainment have debuted the full-length official trailer for a super cheesy romantic drama called Forever My Girl, from director Bethany Ashton Wolf, adapted from Heidi McLaughlin’s novel. The film tells the story of a country music singer named Liam Page, played by Alex Roe, who leaves a woman behind at the altar to chase his dreams of fame and fortune. However, when he returns to his tiny hometown for a funeral, he reconnects with Josie and learns about another surprise (see the trailer). But of course, right? Also starring Jessica Rothe, Abby Ryder Fortson, Travis Tritt, Judith Hoag, John Benjamin Hickey. Featuring original country music performed by a bunch of country stars. Definitely for me, but maybe for some of you. ›››

  • Official Trailer for Corruption Drama 'A Man of Integrity' Made in Iran

Official Trailer for Corruption Drama 'A Man of Integrity' Made in Iran

    A Man of Integrity Trailer

“You wanted me to fight?” The Match Factory has released a new official trailer for an Iranian drama titled A Man of Integrity, which first premiered at the Cannes Film Festival before going on to play at a bunch of other festivals this year. The film is about a humble, hard-working man who runs a goldfish farm on his property in a small Iranian town. He tries to keep his life and his business legitimate and clean, until the corruption surrounding him begins to put pressure on his livelihood. This trailer reveals a lot of the story, so watch out, but it’s a very hard sell otherwise. The film stars Reza Akhlaghirad, Soudabeh Beizaee, and Nasim Adabi. I saw this film in Cannes and it’s damn good, but also super depressing. It’s a sad story of an honest man just trying to be good in an endlessly corrupt world. It’s still worth it to watch a film from Iran. ›››

A World of Wonders Awaits You – One Final Trailer for Pixar's 'Coco'

    Pixar's Coco Final Trailer

“I’m not like the rest of my family…” Disney-Pixar have revealed one final, official trailer for Pixar’s Coco, the first musical and next animated movie from the beloved animation studio. The story involves a young boy named Miguel who gets lost in the world of the dead while searching for his great-great grandfather. This already opened in Mexico to rave reviews. The voices include newcomer Anthony Gonzalez playing Miguel, along with Benjamin Bratt, Gael Garcia Bernal, and Renee Victor. We’ve already seen three trailers previously, but this final one gives us a colorful look at the world that awaits us. I’m very excited to see this, I’m in need of another Pixar tearjerker. This looks charming and heartfelt, as expected from Pixar. ›››

  • First Trailer for Coming-of-Age Comedy 'Swinging Safari' from Australia

First Trailer for Coming-of-Age Comedy 'Swinging Safari' from Australia

    Swinging Safari Trailer

“Why were they doing that to each other?” Becker Film Group has debuted the trailer for an Australian comedy titled Swinging Safari, which is about some kids growing up in the wild, wacky 70’s in Australia. “It’s a time of boxed wine, bad hair, bad styles, bad choices, but good times.” The story follows a group of adults who get into the sexual revolution after a beached blue whale shows up, but it’s also about their kids and what they experienced during the year. Swinging Safari has a great ensemble cast: Guy Pearce, Kylie Minogue, Radha Mitchell, Julian McMahon, Asher Keddie, Jeremy Sims, and Jack Thompson. This looks goofy in all the wrong ways, but maybe it’s the right kind of wrong we all need right now. Enjoy. ›››

  • Don't Watch: Final Trailer for James Foley's 'Fifty Shades Freed' Sequel

Don't Watch: Final Trailer for James Foley's 'Fifty Shades Freed' Sequel

    Fifty Shades Freed Trailer

“You may call me, ‘Mrs. Grey.’” The tagline on the poster below is pretty gratuitous, and oh-so-obvious in a way that will make you roll your eyes, which is annoying yet also oddly surprising that the MPAA let them get away with this. Universal has revealed the final trailers for Fifty Shades Freed, the final sequel in the Fifty Shades series (thank goodness). Please, once again, just ignore this and move right along. Fifty Shades Freed is directed by the director of Glengarry Glen Ross, James Foley, which is the only interesting thing about it. Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan return, starring alongside a massive ensemble cast: Eric Johnson, Eloise Mumford, Rita Ora, Luke Grimes, Victor Rasuk, Max Martini, Callum Keith Rennie, Bruce Altman, Arielle Kebbel, Robinne Lee, Brant Daugherty, with Kim Basinger and Marcia Gay Harden. I have nothing more to add. You all know what to expect, if you want to watch this. ›››

  • First Trailer for Documentary 'Cuba and the Cameraman' from Netflix

First Trailer for Documentary 'Cuba and the Cameraman' from Netflix

    Cuba and the Cameraman

“The story of Cuba, told by one filmmaker over five decades.” Netflix has released the trailer for the new documentary titled Cuba and the Cameraman, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival this year. This is made by filmmaker Jon Alpert, who has spent more time documenting and filming in Cuba than just about anyone else. Compiled from more than a thousand hours of footage and filmed over 45 years, Alpert follows three families and Fidel Castro to tell the story of modern Cuba. He was one of the last Americans to see Castro before his death. But the doc is also all about the people of Cuba, and the country itself, all the history is has gone through and the culture that has remained intact despite all of this. “He documented how these families and the Cuban leader dealt with the serious challenges gripping their country.” Check it out. ›››

  • Milo Gibson as Al Capone in Trailer for Crime Thriller 'Gangster Land'

Milo Gibson as Al Capone in Trailer for Crime Thriller 'Gangster Land'

    Gangster Land Trailer

“These guys are coming after you…!” Cinedigm has released an official trailer for a new crime thriller titled Gangster Land, from director Timothy Woodward Jr., of the western film Hickok also being released this year. Not quite Gangster Squad, not quite The Godfather, this indie mob film follows Al Capone’s second in command, “Machine Gun” Jack McGurn, as played by Sean Faris. It tells the story of Capone’s rise, but through the the eyes of McGurn. Milo Gibson (one of Mel’s sons) plays Capone, and the full cast includes Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Peter Facinelli, Michael Paré, Jason Patric, Don Harvey, Mark Rolston, and Al Sapienza. This actually looks better than expected, but doesn’t look like a knock out either. Take a look. ›››
