First International Trailer for 'The Debt Collector' Starring Scott Adkins

    The Debt Collector Trailer

“So we’re supposed to be debt collectors, yeah? We didn’t collect anything.” An official international trailer has debuted for an action comedy titled The Debt Collector, which is the same title as a 1999 film starring Billy Connolly & Ken Stott. This new The Debt Collector is executive produced by and stars Scott Adkins, who plays a classically-trained martial artist who takes a job as a debt collector for the mob. The typical plot involves a client that “pulls him into a situation deeper than could ever be expected.” Also starring Louis Mandylor, Michael Pare, Tony Todd, and Vladimir Kulich. This looks like a crazy violent, awkward dark comedy, buddy movie and I’m not sure if that’s a good thing. Could be good, could be bad? Take a look. ›››

  • Ed Harris & Jason Sudeikis in Official Trailer for Netflix's 'Kodachrome'

Ed Harris & Jason Sudeikis in Official Trailer for Netflix's 'Kodachrome'

    Kodachrome Trailer

“No art worth a damn was ever created out of happiness, I can tell you that much.” Netflix has debuted the trailer for an indie titled Kodachrome, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last year. Based on an article by A.G. Sulzberger, the film is about a father and son who take a road trip to Kansas in order to develop photos at Kodak’s last Kodachrome lab before it closes its doors forever. It’s set during the final days of the admired photo development system known as Kodachrome, with production finishing in 2010. This is clearly a love letter to the art of film and developing film and the days of film, but wrapped around the engaging story of a fun road trip. Kodachrome stars Jason Sudeikis, Ed Harris, Elizabeth Olsen, Wendy Crewson, Bruce Greenwood, and Dennis Haysbert. This looks quite good, it’s worth a watch. ›››

Full Trailer for Swedish Sci-Fi Alien Film 'Den Blomstertid Nu Kommer'

    Den blomstertid nu kommer Trailer

“We never thought it would happen to us.” Whoa. This looks cool. A full-length official trailer has debuted for a new sci-fi film from Sweden titled Den Blomstertid Nu Kommer, which translates directly to Now the time of blossoming arrives. The film is called The Unthinkable in English, and is about a mysterious attack on Sweden. This film, from director Victor Danell, was crowd-funded originally but has a huge big-budget Hollywood look to it, especially with some of the action sequences seen in this full trailer. Starring Christoffer Nordenrot, Lisa Henni, Jesper Barkselius, Pia Halvorsen, and Magnus Sundberg. I don’t know what exactly is going on, possibly aliens or something else, but it looks crazy good. Watch below. ›››

  • Rosario Dawson in First Trailer for William H. Macy's New Film 'Krystal'

Rosario Dawson in First Trailer for William H. Macy's New Film 'Krystal'

    Krystal Film Trailer

“I have an announcement: I’m in love.” Paladin has released an official theatrical trailer for the new film directed by William H. Macy (of Rudderless, The Layover), titled Krystal, which first premiered at a few smaller film festivals last year. Krystal stars Rosario Dawson and Nick Robinson, along with Grant Gustin, Kathy Bates, Jacob Latimore, Felicity Huffman, William H. Macy, T.I., Rick Fox, and William Fichtner. In the film, Nick Robinson plays a sheltered man from the South with a strange heart condition who falls for an alcoholic woman, following her into AA just to be in the same room as her. “Past transgressions smash head on with young love, causing complications for everyone involved but In order to have even a hint of a chance to come out the other side, Taylor must face his own demons and learn what it means to live without fear and finally become a man.” There’s some serious Southern accents in this. Enjoy. ›››

Watch: Gorgeous Short Doc 'Land of Steel' Shot in Port Talbot, Wales

    Land of Steel

“There’s a shadow hanging over us, but there’s a light that always guides us home… A light that may go out…” Wow, this is a gorgeous 2-minute short documentary. Land of Steel is from UK-based filmmaker Chris Thomas (also behind Cropped a few years ago) who made this film as a passion project. The short doc follows 70-year-old Port Talbot resident John, a retired worker and life long resident of Port Talbot as “he runs familiar paths, contemplating the shadows of uncertainty as the future of Welsh steel hangs in a precarious balance.” There’s a moment in this where it has that Blade Runner feel with a Vangelis-like score and vibrant shots of the industrial landscape. Shows how much you can achieve in only two minutes of time. ›››

  • Exarchopoulos & Schoenaerts in US Trailer for 'Racer and the Jailbird'

Exarchopoulos & Schoenaerts in US Trailer for 'Racer and the Jailbird'

    Racer and the Jailbird Trailer

“We know the risks. But it keeps us alive.” Super LTD has debuted a new US trailer for Belgian romantic crime drama Racer and the Jailbird, from Belgian director Michaël R. Roskam, of Bullhead and The Drop. This premiered at the Toronto and Venice Film Festivals last year under the title Le Fidèle in French, which just means The Faithful. Racer and the Jailbird stars Matthias Schoenaerts (from Bullhead, Rust and Bone, Red Sparrow) and Adèle Exarchopoulos (from Blue is the Warmest Color), along with Eric De Staercke, Jean-Benoît Ugeux, Nabil Missoumi, Thomas Coumans, and Nathalie Van Tongelen. This is described as a “breathlessly stylish and sexy crime epic” that is “set against an electrifying backdrop of high-speed racing and high-stakes heists.” It looks very good, and I like the way they handle the subtitles. ›››

  • First Trailer for Alien Vine Sci-Fi 'Warriors of Future' from Hong Kong

First Trailer for Alien Vine Sci-Fi 'Warriors of Future' from Hong Kong

    Warriors of Future Trailer

“Hope, Believe.” One Cool Pictures has unveiled the first official trailer for a crazy cool new epic sci-fi movie from Hong Kong, tilted Warriors of Future, an ambitious directorial debut of VFX veteran Yuen Fai Ng. Set in the near future, the plot involves an alien vine that takes over the city after crashing down to earth. An experienced military team tries to go in and take it down, using heavily armored aircraft and big mech-type suits and robots. This is clearly just a firs teaser, since the movie isn’t supposed to be out until 2019 because it has so much VFX in it, but damn it’s slick. Warriors of Future stars Louis Koo and Ching Wan Lau. I really want to see more of this, but the first tease looks awesome, I have to say. It looks hugely epic, and the trailer is quite emotional with a killer score. I’m so looking forward to seeing this. Check it out. ›››

Review: Legendary's 'Pacific Rim: Uprising' is a Blast from the Breach

    Pacific Rim: Uprising

In Guillermo del Toro’s 2013 movie, Pacific Rim, a dimensional rift opened at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, and through it emerged Kaiju, giant monsters engineered by the alien Precursors to move between dimensions and terraform planets. The Kaiju unleashed their fury on cities along the Pacific Rim and proved virtually unstoppable with conventional weapons. Gigantic humanoid mechas called Jaegers — piloted by humans connected via a neural bridge — were engineered to fight back. Jaeger Gipsy Danger, piloted by Raleigh Becket and Mako Mori, successfully closed the rift by detonating a bomb, aided by legendary Jaeger Marshal Stacker Pentecost, who gave his life to ensure the success of the mission. Ten years after the Battle of the Breach, the oceans have become restless once again. Enter Pacific Rim: Uprising, the sequel directed by Steven S. DeKnight (Marvel’s “Daredevil”) and starring John Boyega as Pentecost’s son. ›››

  • First Teaser for Director X's 'Superfly' Remake Starring Trevor Jackson

First Teaser for Director X's 'Superfly' Remake Starring Trevor Jackson

    Superfly

“Isn’t that what the American Dream’s all about?” Sony Pictures has released a teaser trailer for Superfly, a “remake” of the 1972 blaxploitation film Super Fly, about a cocaine dealer Priest who wants to score one more super deal and retire. This reimagining is from Director X, and stars Trevor Jackson (of “Grown-ish”, “Burning Sands”) as Youngblood Priest, this time operating in Atlanta. Not everyone may be familiar with the original, but this seems like a slick film to update for today, and the footage looks great. Superfly also stars Jason Mitchell, Michael Kenneth Williams, Lex Scott Davis, Andrea Londo, Jennifer Morrison, Rick Ross, Big Boi, and Big Bank Black. Watch the teaser below and tell us your thoughts. ›››

  • IMAX's Side-to-Side Comparison Trailer for 'Avengers: Infinity War'

IMAX's Side-to-Side Comparison Trailer for 'Avengers: Infinity War'

    Avengers: Infinity War IMAX Trailer

“See up to 26% more in IMAX!” Well, this is pretty cool. IMAX has released their own version of the latest trailer for Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War, and it’s a full side-by-side comparison of every shot in the movie. The reason they’re promoting this – because this entire movie was filmed with IMAX cameras, one of the first to do this (Christopher Nolan has come close in the past, but this is entirely IMAX from start to finish). The trailer features the exact same footage from the most recent full trailer, but really emphasizes just how much more of each scene you’ll see in this. There aren’t a lot of moments where characters are cut off in the original size, but it definitely makes a strong sell for IMAX. Thanos looks bigger and badder than ever, and even Hulk looks larger. We recommend getting your tickets ASAP for full IMAX screenings of this. ›››
