Run, Pray, Hide: Three New TV Spots for Ridley Scott's 'Alien: Covenant'

    Alien: Covenant TV Spots

“All of this, to start our new life.” Yes! Only one month to go. 20th Century Fox has released three new TV spots for Ridley Scott’s return to the Alien universe (following Prometheus), with Alien: Covenant. These spots are titled “Run”, “Pray”, and “Hide”, which is the perfect way to tease this movie – the same taglines they’ve used on the teaser posters as well. The huge ensemble cast of this sci-fi thriller includes: Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, James Franco, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Carmen Ejogo, Callie Hernandez, Demián Bichir, Jussie Smollett, Uli Latukefu, Benjamin Rigby, and Amy Seimetz. These are short, but sweet TV spots, with just the right amount of footage and scares and thrills. The marketing for this movie has been pitch perfect so far, I just hope the movie lives up to the hype. ›››

  • Time is Running Out in First TV Spots for Christopher Nolan's 'Dunkirk'

Time is Running Out in First TV Spots for Christopher Nolan's 'Dunkirk'

    Dunkirk Movie Trailer

“She’ll fight on the beaches. She’ll fight in the fields, in the streets. But she’ll never surrender.” Warner Bros has started revealing new TV spots for Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated new WWII action thriller Dunkirk, about the Dunkirk evacuation in 1940 at the beginning of WWII. We’re still waiting for the new trailer to debut, but these TV spots have arrived online first, and they’re all worth watching. Starring Mark Rylance, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Kenneth Branagh, James D’Arcy, Harry Styles, Aneurin Barnard, Jack Lowden, and Adam Long. When Allied soldiers from Belgium, Britain and France were surrounded by the German army during a fierce battle in France at the start of WWII, they had to evacuate by boat across the English channel. This is looking better the more they show. More intensity, more urgency. ›››

  • Second Trailer for Alex Kurtzman's 'The Mummy' Starring Tom Cruise

Second Trailer for Alex Kurtzman's 'The Mummy' Starring Tom Cruise

    The Mummy Trailer

“This isn’t a tomb. It’s a prison.” Universal has unwrapped the second official trailer for the new take on the Universal monster known as The Mummy. This action-packed new version of The Mummy stars Tom Cruise, with Sofia Boutella playing the new “bad guy”. Cruise plays Nick Morton, one of the characters who decides to dig up the new “mummy”, a priestess named Ahmanet who ushers in “a new world of gods and monsters”. The full cast includes Russell Crowe, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance and Javier Botet. This trailer has some very cool action sequences, and I’m curious more than I expected to be. But I’m still not sure how good this is going to turn out, even with Cruise. Take a look below. ›››

  • New Trailer for Possessed Doll Horror Prequel 'Annabelle: Creation'

New Trailer for Possessed Doll Horror Prequel 'Annabelle: Creation'

    Annabelle: Creation

“Nothing can prepare you for the next chapter…” Warner Bros has revealed a brand new trailer for the horror prequel now called Annabelle: Creation, the next in the Annabelle series, which itself is a spin-off from The Conjuring horror movies. This was originally titled just Annabelle 2 when the first teaser trailer debuted last year, but it has been renamed Annabelle: Creation. Starring Talitha Bateman, Stephanie Sigman, Miranda Otto, Anthony LaPaglia, Lulu Wilson, Philippa Coulthard, Grace Fulton and Alicia Vela-Bailey as Evil Mrs. Mullins. This one is about a dollmaker and his wife who welcome a nun and several girls from an orphanage into their home, where the evil Annabelle lurks. Dolls are so so creepy. ›››

  • A Final Trailer for Guy Ritchie's 'King Arthur' Starring Charlie Hunnam

A Final Trailer for Guy Ritchie's 'King Arthur' Starring Charlie Hunnam

    King Arthur Final Trailer

“I know your story… What kind of man would you have become…?” Warner Bros has revealed one final trailer for Guy Ritchie’s new take on King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, which opens in theaters in just over a month. Is anyone excited to see this movie? I feel like it’s going to be forgotten so quickly. But maybe this footage will change your mind? Or maybe not. Charlie Hunnam stars as the new King Arthur with a cast including Jude Law, Annabelle Wallis, Katie McGrath, Eric Bana, Djimon Hounsou, Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, Tom Wu, as well as Aidan Gillen. Guy Ritchie’s signature style (and action) seems to be the biggest selling point of this, but maybe there’s something to the story, too. The elephants revealed in this are pretty crazy, reminds me of Lord of the Rings, which is probably the point. Will you be seeing this? ›››

  • Katherine Heigl vs Rosario Dawson in New Trailer for 'Unforgettable'

Katherine Heigl vs Rosario Dawson in New Trailer for 'Unforgettable'

    Unforgettable Trailer

“She’s messing with me.” Ugh. Another trailer for this movie. Warner Bros has released a second trailer for the romantic thriller titled Unforgettable, about a vengeful woman who sets out to make life hell for her ex-husband’s new wife. The man-in-the-middle is played by Geoff Stults, and the two women are played by Katherine Heigl with some impressive blonde hair, and Rosario Dawson. The film is also a reunion for Heigl and director Denise Di Novi, as they previously collaborated on Life as We Know It. The cast includes young actress Isabella Rice, Simon Kassianides, Whitney Cummings, Robert Wisdom and Cheryl Ladd. This is an ironic title, because this movie seems instantly forgettable, and I’m certain it’s going to be sitting in the Bargain Bin in a few months. This looks terrible, even with these two women leading the cast. ›››

  • Brad Pitt Goes to War in Full Trailer for David Michôd's 'War Machine'

Brad Pitt Goes to War in Full Trailer for David Michôd's 'War Machine'

    War Machine Brad Pitt Trailer

“We can’t help them and kill them at the same time.” Netflix has launched a new full-length trailer for the film War Machine, the latest from talented Australian filmmaker David Michod (Animal Kingdom, The Rover). We featured a teaser trailer for this right around the Oscars, but this full trailer dives fully into this drama (which has nothing to do with Marvel or Iron Man). Brad Pitt plays a four star general who must deal with the repercussions of a challenging war in the Middle East. Described as a “pitch-black war story for our times”, this seems like a brutally honest look at America’s modern wars. The full cast includes Tilda Swinton, Sir Ben Kingsley, Anthony Michael Hall, Topher Grace, Will Poulter, Keith Stanfield, Emory Cohen, John Magaro, RJ Cyler, Scoot McNairy and Meg Tilly. This looks pretty damn good. ›››

  • Jaeden Lieberher in First Trailer for Trevorrow's 'The Book of Henry'

Jaeden Lieberher in First Trailer for Trevorrow's 'The Book of Henry'

    The Book of Henry Trailer

“We have to make it better. There’s only one way to stop it.” Focus Features has debuted the first trailer for the film The Book of Henry, the latest from director Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed, Jurassic World). Unlike his past two films, this one is a more conventional drama with real people (and no sci-fi). The Book of Henry is about a single mother raising two boys, one of who happens to be a genius. The cast includes Jacob Tremblay and Jaeden Lieberher as the two boys, along with Naomi Watts, Lee Pace, Sarah Silverman, Maddie Ziegler, Dean Norris, and Bobby Moynihan. This seems like a very nice, charming drama until – wait, Naomi Watts is a sniper now?! As odd as that twist is, I still want to watch this. ›››

  • Official Trailer for 'The Journey' Starring Timothy Spall & Colm Meaney

Official Trailer for 'The Journey' Starring Timothy Spall & Colm Meaney

    The Journey Trailer

“I know it will take a miracle for these two to work things out.” IFC Films has debuted a trailer for an indie drama titled The Journey, telling a fictional account of “an impromptu, detour-filled car ride through the Scottish countryside” where two opposing politicians realize they’re more alike than different. Set in 2006, amidst the ongoing, decades-long conflict in Northern Ireland, Timothy Spall plays the British loyalist Ian Paisley, and Colm Meaney plays former IRA leader Martin McGuinness dedicated to reunification. The cast includes Toby Stephens as Tony Blair, plus Freddie Highmore, Catherine McCormack, Ian Beattie, and John Hurt in one of his final roles. I’m interested in this to see the two different perspectives and what insight each gains from each other, but also for the powerful performances from these fine actors. ›››

New US Trailer for Horror Film 'A Dark Song' Starring Catherine Walker

    A Dark Song Trailer

“This is the price of our rage. Embrace it, don’t fear it.” IFC Films has released another new official US trailer for the indie horror thriller film A Dark Song, from Irish/Welsh filmmaker Liam Gavin. This horror story follows a determined young woman grieving over the loss of her young son, who reaches out to an occultist with experience in an ancient invocation ritual that she believes might allow her to make contact with her deceased child. Catherine Walker stars as Sophia, with a full cast including Mark Huberman, Susan Loughnane and Steve Oram. This played at Fantastic Fest and the London Film Festival and is being released in late April in the US. This trailer is so much more interesting than the last one. Take a look. ›››
