    Thor: Ragnarok Trailer

“Now I know what you’re thinking: how did this happen? Well, it’s a long story…” Holy smokes this looks so awesome. Disney + Marvel have revealed the first teaser trailer for Thor: Ragnarok, the next sequel in the Thor series. This is directed by New Zealand filmmaker Taika Waititi, who brings his own comedic edge to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Chris Hemsworth is back as Thor, with a seriously kick ass cast: Cate Blanchett as Hela, Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Karl Urban as Skurge, plus all of the others from before including Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Jaimie Alexander as Sif, and Anthony Hopkins as Odin. There’s a very cool sci-fi side to this that looks so cool (plus it feels like this fits right into the Guardians of the Galaxy universe) but it’s all about the big battle between Thor and Hulk that we get a tiny glimpse of at the end of this trailer. Ohhh yes. Dive right in! ›››

  • Trailer for Horror Comedy 'Another Evil' About a Ghost Exterminator

Trailer for Horror Comedy 'Another Evil' About a Ghost Exterminator

    Another Evil Trailer

“Meet Os. A Straight Up Ghost Assassin.” Dark Sky Films has released a trailer for a horror comedy titled Another Evil, about a wacky ghost exterminator named Os who is hired to get rid of a ghost in a summer home. Steve Zissis (from “Togetherness”) stars as Dan, the guy who moves into his family’s vacation home and encounters a ghost. The cast includes Jennifer Irwin, Mark Proksch as Os, Dan Bakkedahl, Dax Flame, Steve Little, and Mariko Munro. This looks very fun, I’m glad that we finally get to see another comedic take on haunted house and ghost exterminators (one of the only other ones I can think of is The Frighteners). It feels like this would be a nice double feature with What We Do in the Shadows. Have fun. ›››

One More Full-Length Trailer for 'Buster's Mal Heart' with Rami Malek

    Buster's Mal Heart Trailer

“It won’t be long now. The inversion is coming.” One more trailer to feature for this film, which is fine with us because the more attention we can bring to it, the better. Directed by Sarah Adina Smith, Buster’s Mal Heart stars the very talented Rami Malek as a “troubled man on the run from fate” who suffers from a recurring dream. In the dream he’s haunted by being lost at sea only to discover that the dream is real: He is one man in two bodies. The cast includes DJ Squalls, Kate Lyn Sheil, Lin Shaye, Toby Huss, Mark Kelly and Teresa Yenque. There have been two other trailers we’ve featured for this previously, but I’m still incredibly interested in it, and I plan on catching the film once it arrives in theaters. Take a look below. ›››

    Transformers: The Last Knight Featurette

“I’m here to keep 3D alive, and the only way to make it the best experience for you, is to shoot it natively.” Paramount has released a new making of featurette for Transformers: The Last Knight, and it’s pretty much nothing but Michael Bay talking about filming this new sequel. As much as I know that most of us are not that excited for this movie, this is one of the best featurettes I’ve ever seen. There’s tons of cool behind-the-scenes footage, it’s almost all Bay showing us a look at his workplace(s), and it’s not made up of existing footage that we’ve already seen in other trailers. This stars Mark Wahlberg, Anthony Hopkins, Laura Haddock, John Goodman, Stanley Tucci, John Turturro, Josh Duhamel, Isabela Moner, Santiago Cabrera, and Liam Garrigan. Maybe this will change your mind about this movie? Have fun. ›››

  • Second Trailer for Peculiar Found Footage Sci-Fi 'Phoenix Forgotten'

Second Trailer for Peculiar Found Footage Sci-Fi 'Phoenix Forgotten'

    Phoenix Forgotten Trailer

“For decades they’ve been lying to you.” Cinelou Films has released a final trailer for sci-fi horror found footage film Phoenix Forgotten, which is set to open in select theaters later this month (on April 21st). We already featured one teaser trailer for this film previously, as it’s a very mysterious found footage feature “based on true events” about kids who go to investigate mysterious lights of Phoenix, Arizona and end up disappearing. It’s kind of like The Blair Witch Project, but for UFOs and aliens and something like that. The “unseen footage has finally been discovered, chronicling the final hours of their fateful expedition.” The cast includes Florence Hartigan, Chelsea Lopez, Justin Matthews, Luke Spencer Roberts; with Wes Ball, T.S. Nowlin, Ridley Scott, Mark Canton, and Courtney Solomon producing. This certainly looks freaky. ›››

  • Official US Trailer for Biopic 'Maudie' Starring Sally Hawkins as Maudie

Official US Trailer for Biopic 'Maudie' Starring Sally Hawkins as Maudie

    Maudie Trailer

“I’ve known you for years, Maud, and I’m still trying to figure out what makes you tick.” Sony Classics has finally revealed an official US trailer for the indie biopic Maudie, telling the story of famed Nova Scotia folk painter Maud “Maudie” Lewis. Talented actress Sally Hawkins plays the role of Maudie, a spunky woman with severe arthritis who takes up housekeeper work for a reclusive man. It’s there she begins to hone her painting skills, despite barely being able to move her hands, becoming beloved in the community for her positivity and innate talent. The film also tells a love story between Maudie and Everett Lewis, played by Ethan Hawke, a man who is not that easy to love. The cast includes Kari Matchett, Gabrielle Rose, Zachary Bennett, and Billy MacLellan. I caught this film at last year’s Telluride Film Festival, and it’s a charming, uplifting story of one wonderful woman and the awkward man who loved her back. Take a look. ›››

  • Trailer for Horror Film 'The Black Room' Starring Natasha Henstridge

Trailer for Horror Film 'The Black Room' Starring Natasha Henstridge

    The Black Room Trailer

“It will try to seduce you, trick you with pleasure, make you want more. It feeds off your desires.” Check out the official trailer for a gore-filled horror film titled The Black Room, from filmmaker Rolfe Kanefsky. The film stars Natasha Henstridge (where has she been recently?) and Lukas Hassel as a newly married couple who move into their dream house, only to discover there’s something evil in the “black room” in the cellar. Also starring Lin Shaye, Dominique Swain, James Duval, Auggie Duke, and Caleb Scott. From the looks of it, this doesn’t seem like anything particular special. There’s new horror films being made all the time, and this one seems forgettable despite the marketing. The flaming title card really tops it off. ›››

  • First UK Teaser Trailer for Animated Comedy Film 'The Son of Bigfoot'

First UK Teaser Trailer for Animated Comedy Film 'The Son of Bigfoot'

    The Son of Bigfoot Trailer

“This year the wildest legend of all comes to life.” Studiocanal UK has unveiled a very short teaser trailer for an animated film titled The Son of Bigfoot, produced by StudioCanal in France, and animated by nWave Pictures in Belgium. The film is aimed towards younger kids and families, and is about a boy who goes “on an epic and daring quest to uncover the mystery behind his long-lost dad, only to find out that he is none other than the legendary Bigfoot.” Surprise! The voice cast hasn’t been revealed yet, even though this teaser does include one voice. We’ve seen some low-budget horror films based around bigfoot recently (like Exists or Willow Creek), but it’s interesting to see a goofy, family-friendly take on the furry forest monster. Enjoy. ›››

Official Trailer for 'I Am Heath Ledger' Documentary About the Actor

I Am Heath Ledger Doc Trailer

“He was always a director, acting was just a way to get there.” Spike has premiered a trailer for their new feature-length documentary titled I Am Heath Ledger, examining the short, tragic, yet still triumphant, joyous life of Australian actor Heath Ledger. Today (April 4th) is also Ledger’s birthday, he would’ve been 38; he died from accidental intoxication of drugs in early 2008. Despite his tragic death, Ledger’s legacy still remains strong and all of his cinematic work will live on to prove his talent. This looks like an intimate and heartfelt inside look at his life, with tons of home video footage and interviews with friends and the people he worked with. Even folks who aren’t the biggest fans of Ledger may find something meaningful in this doc. ›››

  • Aubrey Plaza in First Red Band Teaser Trailer for 'Ingrid Goes West'

Aubrey Plaza in First Red Band Teaser Trailer for 'Ingrid Goes West'

    Ingrid Goes West Trailer

“Are you insane?!” Neon has unveiled the first teaser trailer, a wild red band teaser, for the indie dramedy Ingrid Goes West. This premiered at the Sundance Film Festival to quite a bit of buzz, mostly for the concept, but also for the performances from the two leading ladies – Aubrey Plaza and Elizabeth Olsen. The film is about an Instagram-addicted nobody (played by Plaza) who decides to move to Los Angeles to stalk another Instagram celebrity in hopes she can have her life, too. The cast includes O’Shea Jackson Jr. and Wyatt Russell. This is a nice tease, it doesn’t give away too much but does introduce you to all the craziness in this. I enjoyed it quite a bit, saying in my review it’s a “surprisingly entertaining indie comedy.” ›››
