First Trailer for Pregnancy Horror Thriller 'Inside' with Rachel Nichols

    Inside Movie Trailer

“You’ll have to come out sooner or later…” Vertical Entertainment has premiered a new trailer for a horror thriller titled Inside, a remake of the original French film of the same name by Alexandre Bustillo & Julien Maury. This new version is made by a Spanish filmmaker, but it’s actually entirely in English and thus is more of a “Hollywood” remake, though it wasn’t made in Hollywood at all. Inside stars Rachel Nichols as a pregnant woman who moves alone into a new home. She recently lost her partner in a car crash that left her partially deaf. She’s stalked by a stranger who is obsessed with her unborn child. The full cast includes Laura Harring, Stany Coppet, Andrea Tivadar, and David Chevers. So this looks exactly like you’d expect, more horror landing in January if you’re interested. Never underestimate a mother’s protective fury! ›››

  • First Trailer for Clint Eastwood's Train Heroes Movie 'The 15:17 to Paris'

First Trailer for Clint Eastwood's Train Heroes Movie 'The 15:17 to Paris'

    The 15:17 to Paris Trailer

“Don’t try and take any shortcuts. Do what you know is right.” Warner Bros has debuted the first official trailer for Clint Eastwood’s The 15:17 to Paris, telling a fictionalized version of the story of three men who thwarted a potential terrorist attack on a train in France in 2015. The story goes that three men confronted and subdued the attacker before he could harm more people, and they have since become heroes for their actions. The 15:17 to Paris actually stars the three real men playing themselves: Anthony Sadler, Alek Skarlatos, and Spencer Stone, along with a cast of actors including Jenna Fischer, Judy Greer, Ray Corasani, PJ Byrne, Tony Hale, and Thomas Lennon. Eastwood is really into these stories of regular American heroes, my goodness. The twist in this is using the actual men, which is kind of cool to see. Enjoy. ›››

  • Second Trailer for Alex Garland's 'Annihilation' with Natalie Portman

Second Trailer for Alex Garland's 'Annihilation' with Natalie Portman

    Annihilation Trailer

“We need to know what’s inside.” “So do I.” Whoaaaaa. Paramount has released a new full-length trailer for the latest sci-fi film from Alex Garland (of Ex Machina), who is adapting from Jeff VanderMeer’s series of novels. Annihilation stars Natalie Portman as a biologist who travels with a group into a special place known as “Area X” where the laws of nature don’t apply. This trailer shows us a bit more of “what’s inside” and damn does it look trippy and scary and very mesmerizing. Also starring Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodriguez, Tessa Thompson, Tuva Novotny, and Oscar Isaac. I am so very excited for this, mostly because I trust in Garland to bring us some of the best cerebral sci-fi around. And this looks wildly unique. ›››

  • First Quick Teaser for Wacky 'Journey to China' with Schwarzenegger

First Quick Teaser for Wacky 'Journey to China' with Schwarzenegger

    Journey to China Trailer

This looks very weird. A very short teaser trailer has debuted online for a film titled Journey to China, for short, though it goes by many names. This film is actually Viy 2, a sequel to Viy (from 2014), also known as Forbidden Empire – a fantasy adventure movie set in a cursed Romanian forest. This sequel goes by other titles including: Journey to China: The Mystery of Iron Mask, The Mystery of Dragon Seal: The Journey to China, or just simply Viy-2. The plot involves English traveler/cartographer Jonathan Green journeying to China and falling into a fantastical adventure. The film’s peculiar cast features Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jackie Chan, Rutger Hauer, Charles Dance, Jason Flemyng, Yuri Kolokolnikov. Schwarzenegger is playing James Hook, but I don’t even know what’s going on. Maybe the full-length trailer will reveal more. ›››

  • Review: Rian Johnson's 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' is Bold But Off-Balance

Review: Rian Johnson's 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' is Bold But Off-Balance

    The Last Jedi Review

Written and directed by filmmaker Rian Johnson (of Brick, The Brothers Bloom, Looper), Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the second entry in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, following J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Upon its release in late 2015, The Force Awakens received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics and praise from fans worldwide for restoring the saga’s former glory while injecting it with fresh blood. As beloved as Episode VII was, however, one criticism continued to appear: it was too safe; a rehash of George Lucas’ 1977 film. If Abrams’ movie was too safe, then Johnson’s follow-up may prove too risky. ›››

  • New US Trailer for Award-Winning Russian Family Drama 'Loveless'

New US Trailer for Award-Winning Russian Family Drama 'Loveless'

    Loveless Trailer

Sony Classics has debuted an official US trailer for the acclaimed Russian drama Loveless, which has been picking up awards and accolades ever since it premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May. If you haven’t heard about this film, now is the time to catch up with it, because it will be showing up on plenty of Top 10 lists from critics this year not to mention the big awards. Loveless is about a Russian couple going through a brutal divorce, and their young son decides to run away to escape them. It’s apparently not only a tough look at families and modern relationships, but also a criticism of Russia’s current society. Loveless won the Jury Prize in Cannes, Best Cinematography & Best Score at the European Film Awards, Best Film at the London Film Festival, and was nominated for a Golden Globe award (it will very likely get an Oscar nomination as well). The film’s cast includes Maryana Spivak, Alexei Rozin, Varvara Shmykova, Matvey Novikov, Daria Pisareva, and Yanina Hope. Check out the new trailer below for a glimpse at this searing drama. ›››

  • Official Trailer for James Mark's Sci-Fi Martial Arts Movie 'Kill Order'

Official Trailer for James Mark's Sci-Fi Martial Arts Movie 'Kill Order'

    Kill Order Trailer

He has no name. Only purpose. RLJ Entertainment has debuted an official trailer for a sci-fi action movie from Canada titled Kill Order, which is actually about a student who has latent special powers. From the description, this sounds like some martial arts film from Hong Kong but it’s actually made by a Canadian stuntman named James Mark, making his feature directorial debut. His stunt group, Team 2X, has started making films and this is one of their latest offerings. Chris Mark (James’ brother) stars as a troubled high school student who gains superpowers when a group of armed men break into his classroom. The full cast includes Daniel Park, Denis Akiyama, Melee Hutton, Jessica Clement, Jason Gosbee, and Alain Moussi. This film is pretty much just a fun way to show off cool martial arts stunt skills, and not much else. ›››

  • Another International Trailer for 'Black Panther' Teases Wakanda Tech

Another International Trailer for 'Black Panther' Teases Wakanda Tech

    Black Panther International Trailer

“The King of Wakanda is here.” Disney has debuted an international trailer for Marvel’s Black Panther movie, with a tiny bit of extra footage not seen in the first two trailers. Most of the new shots include some Wakanda technology, which is one of the coolest details about this movie. Directed by Ryan Coogler (of Fruitvale Station, Creed), the story follows King T’Challa, once again played by Chadwick Boseman, who goes back to his African nation of Wakanda after the events of Civil War. There he encounters new enemies that want to challenge his seat on the throne, and destroy Wakanda. The outstanding ensemble cast includes Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Andy Serkis as Klaw, Florence Kasumba, John Kani, Winston Duke, and Sterling K. Brown. Oh hell yes this looks great, I’m so there on opening day. Bring on Black Panther. ›››

  • 2018 Golden Globes Nominees – 'Disaster Artist', 'Dunkirk' + 'Get Out'

2018 Golden Globes Nominees – 'Disaster Artist', 'Dunkirk' + 'Get Out'

    Golden Globes

The list of nominations for the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards (of 2018), the yearly precursor to the Academy Awards, have just been announced today – you can find all the film nominees below. The infamous Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominees this morning from The Beverly Hilton. The selection this year is interesting, but as always it’s full of some weird and confusing picks, and a few snubs (like Greta Gerwig and Jordan Peele from Best Director). The top nominees are The Shape of Water with 7 noms, plus The Post and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri with 6 noms each. Lady Bird and Get Out at least did get Best Film noms. Another intriguing year of picks but not that surprising for the HFPA. ›››
