  • Madden 17 Predicts Super Bowl 51 Winner Today

Madden 17 Predicts Super Bowl 51 Winner Today

Football fans have to wait until Sunday to find out who will win Super Bowl LI. But what team does EA’s Madden game think will win? The developer will announce the results of its annual Madden Super Bowl simulation today, crowning either the New England Patriots or Atlanta Falcons the champions.

    No Caption Provided

The developer will use Madden NFL 17 to simulate the game, using up-to-date rosters, ultimately determining a final score. We should also learn who the MVP is, among other things. We’ll update this post with the results of the simulation as soon as they are announced.

Last year, the Madden Super Bowl simulation got it wrong, picking the Carolina Panthers to win, when in reality it was the Denver Broncos who emerged victorious. A year before that, however, the simulation picked the Patriots to beat the Seahawks 28-24–and that’s exactly what happened.

Super Bowl LI takes place on Sunday, February 6, in Houston, Texas. The Patriots are three-point favorites, while the over/under is 58.5; that’s the highest-ever for a Super Bowl.

We’re expecting a lot of new movie trailers to air during the big game, and we’ll round them up in a post here on GameSpot so you can watch them all in one place.

Which team do you think will win Super Bowl LI and why? Let us know in the comments below!

  • John Wick Prequel TV Show Might Happen, Director Says

John Wick Prequel TV Show Might Happen, Director Says

John Wick: Chapter 2 hits theaters next week, and sees Keanu Reeves back as the reluctant-but-ruthless dog-loving hitman. There has already been talk of a third movie, and now the director has spoken about the possibility of a TV prequel.

    No Caption Provided

At a recent press conference, director Chad Stahelski explained why a potential prequel might end up on the small screen. “We’re not doing a prequel [with Chapter 2]. We wanted to, it just didn’t fit quite where we’re at,” he said, via Slashfilm. “We basically almost have a prequel written, but we’d save that for other aspects of the property.

“Lionsgate is very interested in doing a John Wick TV show, and that seems very appealing to us, to give those creative ideas to that entity. I think in TV you could really expand on what that is, and greater than we could in just a two-hour film.

“We’d like to wrap up the story we’re telling now and maybe save all our prequel ideas and impossible task ideas for that medium.”

In October, Stahelski revealed that Lionsgate was also looking to produce a third movie in the series. “The studio has asked us to put our heads together and see if we can come up with something,” he said. “Winston [the character played by Ian McShane] is a big part of the next one, so is Lance Reddick. We’ve got some ideas.”

There has been plenty of recent promotional activity for John Wick: Chapter 2. Earlier this week, week, a new video revealed the training that the cast took to deliver what is termed “gun-fu,” while this clip showed Wick returning to a familiar location.

John Wick: Chapter 2 also stars Common, Laurence Fishburne, Bridget Moynahan, and John Leguizamo. It arrives in theaters on February 10, 2017.

  • Resident Evil 7's First Expansion Out Now On PS4

Just a week after the game’s launch, Capcom today released the first wave of DLC for horror game Resident Evil 7. The content, Banned Footage Vol. 1, is out now on PS4.

As announced previously, it comes with two “Banned Footage” scenarios to play through and a mode called Ethan Must Die. Here is a rundown of the content, with descriptions from Capcom:

    • Bedroom Scenario: Figure out how to escape from a locked room, but don’t let Marguerite Baker know you’ve been out of bed.
    • Nightmare Scenario: Fend off waves of enemies and survive until morning.
    • Extra Mode – Ethan Must Die: A tough-as-nails mode separate from the tapes and story of the main game. (Does not support PSVR)

Banned Footage Vol. 1 is included with Resident Evil 7’s $30 season pass or can be purchased by itself for $10. The expansion comes to Xbox One and PC on February 21.

Resident Evil 7’s DLC campaign doesn’t end there, as Banned Footage Vol. 2 is scheduled to come out February 14–Valentine’s Day.

In other Resident Evil 7 news, Capcom announced that it shipped 2.5 million copies of the game to retailers during its launch week. This figure is below the shipment numbers for Resident Evil 6 and Resident Evil 5, which might have contributed to Capcom’s share value taking a hit recently.

First Ocean's 8 Image Shows The All-New Cast

Ocean’s 8 is the latest entry in the series of hit heist thrillers that kicked off with 2001’s Ocean’s Eleven. The movie features an all-female gang, led by Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett, and the first official image has been released. Check it out below:

    No Caption Provided

Ocean’s 8 also stars Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Awkwafina, and Sarah Paulson. As this image suggests, the film is set in New York, and the star-studded Met Gala is the target of the movie’s central heist.

Homeland‘s Damian Lewis will play the film’s villain, while Matt Damon, one of the stars of the original movies, is also set to cameo. “I’m doing a little bit in the movie,” Damon said in November. “The cast is phenomenal, and I’m excited to see what those women do with it. It’s going to be fun.”

The movie is directed by The Hunger Games‘ Gary Ross, and produced by Steven Soderbergh, who helmed the original trilogy.

Ocean’s Eleven earned $450 million worldwide. While the two sequels weren’t quite as successful, they all proved to be considerable box office hits, helping the franchise reach more than $1.1 billion at the box office, according to Box Office Mojo.

    Ocean’s 8 opens on June 8, 2018.
