The latest Jump Force trailer has revealed the character models and attacks for their new additions to the Shonen Jump brawler. Last week Bandai Namco announced that characters from the anime/manga Rurouni Kenshin would be joining the roster. The new trailer shows off the sword-based attacks of protagonist Himura Kenshin and Kyoto arc antagonist, Makoto Shishio.
Released as a manga in 1994, the story of Rurouni Kenshin follows Kenshin, a former assassin who in later life swears off his murderous past and becomes a wandering swordsman who pursues justice without taking lives. To do so he has the lethal edge of his katana turned inward making killing with it practically impossible. The antagonist Makoto Shishio, was likewise an assassin before being burned alive by the government, forcing him to adopt his covered-in-bandages look.
The trailer seems to give us a glimpse of Shishio’s fiery finishing move, as well as Kenshin’s ultimate slice among other moves.
Jump Force is set to release February 15. For more info on the power-packed anime roster, be sure to check out our video compilation of nearly every ultimate attack revealed thus far, or our news hub where we’ll keep you constantly updated with all the latest powered-up transformations and energy bombs.

You’ll be able to play the one-man wrecking crew and leader of The Army of Chaos, Rico Rodriguez, when Just Cause 4 comes out next week. Three years after Just Cause 3, the fourth entry in the over-the-top action-adventure game is just around the corner and has already gone gold. To celebrate Avalanche Studios and Square Enix released a live-action trailer that gives us a hilarious glimpse of the enemies’ stories about Rico Rodriguez.
In a struggle not unlike describing video games to a non-gamer, this trailer shows low ranking Black Hand soldiers attempting to explain how a man riding a tornado was able to destroy an entire base by himself to their incredulous and angry boss. The enemy soldiers’ get more and more enthusiastic about Rico’s exploits – flying in on a tornado, infiltrating the base like a panther, and creatively using the environment to take them out – before their leader silences them with a gunshot in the air.
Just Cause 4 releases on December 4 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. If you missed the last high-flying trailer for the game, you can check it out right here. Also, make sure you don’t miss our impressions of the deliriously fun demo.

A few months back, Ubisoft announced their DLC plans for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, which included remasters of two older Assassin’s Creed games and two DLC journeys that Ubisoft dubbed “Story Arcs.” The first of those story arcs, Legacy of the First Blade, starts with its own first episode on December 4.
You can check out the trailer for the post-launch story arc below.
The first episode, Hunted, launches on December 4 on all platforms. The story arc has two more episodes after Hunted, though they have not yet been specifically dated, titled Shadow Heritage and Bloodline and will be coming in early 2019. The story arc will lead Kassandra or Alexios “to encounter Darius, the legend who was first to wield the Assassin’s Hidden Blade.”
The DLC story arcs also come with new equipment and new skills for the player characters to matter.
The second story arc will be titled The Fate of Atlantis. While Ubisoft has not detailed that DLC yet, it is not hard to figure out what it might entail by the name. The season pass includes both story arcs, as well as remasters of Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed: Liberation, both of which are releasing in March.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The tale of Fallout 76 has been a strange one since its first reveal at E3. Even at the time, it seems Bethesda knew that fans would be uneasy with the new take on Fallout by how often they couched introductions of the game with assurance that it was still Fallout at its heart. One reaction Bethesda probably did not see coming, however, is the idea that a class-action lawsuit over the game’s buggy nature and Bethesda’s reticence to provide refunds.
The law firm Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is currently investigating and soliciting clients for a possible class action lawsuit against Bethesda over Fallout 76. According to the firm’s class action page, they’re hoping to represent players who bought the game and were unhappy with the quality level of the product from a technical perspective. More to the point, they are alleging that Bethesda is refusing refunds on the product.
“While minor bugs and glitches are expected with the release of most new games, Fallout 76 launched with a 56GB patch that has proven to be but a starting point for the game’s problems,” the firm writes on the suit solicitation page. “Gamers who have tried to receive a refund because of the game’s myriad glitches have been unable to do so since they downloaded the game, leaving them to deal with an unplayable experience until patches bring it back to a playable state.”
There have been a number of reports on Reddit about Bethesda refusing refunds for the game on PC, it is not clear if this is a blanket policy. Bethesda chose not to release Fallout 76 on Steam, which has a two-hours-or-two-weeks return policy on games, opting instead of release only on their Bethesda launcher. Bethesda’s own return policy allows for returns of unopened physical items, but zero exceptions for any games bought digitally unless mandated by law like in Europe.
Class action lawsuits over video games is not a new concept. In 2013, firm Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP filed a suit against EA alleging that the company made false statements about Battlefield 4 and the bugginess of the game affected its sales. That was a little different because it had more to do with the effect those actions had on shareholder value. In that case, the judge sided with EA.
Bethesda has apologized for the radio silence and lack of communication concerning Fallout 76 and outlined a roadmap for future fixes today. You can find our review of the open world multiplayer Fallout game right here.

Thanks to Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, many of you are likely swimming in new games to play. Just don’t forget to download your free Xbox games for the remainder of this month, and set a reminder to get your free haul of titles in the month ahead.
Xbox’s next offering is decidedly retro, with the biggest games falling on Xbox 360. If you want to take a stroll down memory lane, you can download Dragon Age 2 between December 1 and 15, and Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction between December 16 and 31. Both titles work on Xbox One via backward compatibility.
Game Informer’s Joe Juba enjoyed Dragon Age 2, but says in his review that it’s a step back from Dragon Age: Origins. “The new battle system is fun, but not nearly as satisfying or rewarding as Origins’. Since you don’t even have a main antagonist until the final hours, the story pales in comparison to the original. If you put those complaints aside and remove Dragon Age II from the impressive shadow of its predecessor, you’ll find an engaging action/RPG experience that still retains BioWare’s trademark clever dialogue, cool characters, and detailed lore.”
Mercenaries is a fun open-world experience from defunct studios LucasArts and Pandemic. You can watch us play through the game’s opening act in our Replay episode.
Xbox One’s free games offer up radically different experiences. From December 1 through 15, players can download C.U.B.E. 2, a puzzle game in which you awaken on an alien world, and must figure out the mysteries of a monolith to get home. You’ll need to manipulate the monolith’s architecture using state-of-the-art gloves to see the secrets it hides.
The month of free games concludes with Never Alone, a side-scrolling adventure that explores the culture of the Iñupiat people. Juba also reviewed this one for Game Informer, saying “the care with which the Iñupiat culture is represented is wonderful, and I loved learning about its customs and history. As an educational tool, Never Alone is a great success, but the gameplay does more to burden than bolster that achievement.”
Never Alone will be available from December 16 to 31.

Following the problematic launch of Fallout 76, developer Bethesda Game Studios today outlined plans for two stability patches. The first patch will be available on December 4, and offers fixes for respawning when over encumbered, players getting stuck in power armor, boss loot drops, and cryolator effects. This patch also increases the stash limit from 400 to 600. Bethesda says this increase is “somewhat conservative,” yet plans to increase it again at a later date.
On December 11, a second patch addresses C.A.M.P. placement issues on login, allows players to Respec SPECIAL points after level 50, and adds a new bulldozer option that can remove small trees, rocks, and other objects when trying to build.
Both updates will also focus on fixing bugs and stability issues. Bethesda also will continue tweaking the balance of play.
In a Reddit post, the studio’s community team also offered an apology for not offering information on potential fixes sooner. “We know you’re frustrated and angry at the state of things right now, whether it’s the issues you’re running into in the game, or the lack of communication about fixes, updates, or news,” Bethesda wrote. “Yesterday we posted to let you know that we’re still here gathering your feedback and, more importantly, working to get info from the team we can share. We didn’t want you to think the silence meant nothing was happening. We’re sorry and understand this was not the right approach, and we’ll work to make a better bridge between you and the dev team at BGS.”
