First Teaser Poster for Pixar's Sequel 'Finding Dory' Out Next Summer

    Dory in Finding Nemo

“Just keep swimming! Just keep swimming!” Where’d she go! Disney has unveiled the first official teaser poster for Pixar’s Finding Dory, the sequel to Finding Nemo, starring once again Dory the blue tang and her clownfish pals Marlin and Nemo. The voice cast includes Ellen DeGeneres, Albert Brooks, Idris Elba, Dominic West, Diane Keaton, Ty Burrell and others. The teaser poster is very simple featuring nothing but Dory escaping out of frame, and the new tagline for the movie. The tagline is very simple as well, and almost too on the nose for my liking, but this is just a tease so there will be plenty more to see. For now, take a look. ›››

    The Neon Demon

The Neon Demon is coming to screens soon. Variety reports that Amazon Studios has picked up US release rights to Nicolas Winding Refn’s latest film, The Neon Demon, which has yet to premiere at any festivals. The report states that Amazon is planning to release the film in theaters next summer (2016), so it’s not just an Amazon Digital only release, it’s them going all out standing behind this film. “One morning I woke and realized I was both surrounded and dominated by women. Strangely, a sudden urge was planted in me to make a horror film about vicious beauty,” Refn said about the idea for this film. Elle Fanning stars, along with Keanu Reeves, Christina Hendricks and Jena Malone. See the new photo below while we wait for more. ›››

Watch: Blue Sky's Animated 'Cosmic Scrat-tastrophe' Short for 'Ice Age'

    Cosmic Scrat-tastrophe

Scrat in space! The latest animated short from Blue Sky Studios is another adventure with the lovable, goofy saber-toothed squirrel Scrat who has appeared on screen many times. Titled the “Cosmic Scrat-tastrophe“, the story involves Scrat stumbling upon a frozen alien spaceship, jolting it loose, and taking it off up into the heavens only to knock some planets around causing a catastrophe. The short then links his actions to a “series of cosmic events that transform and threaten the Ice Age World”. Very cool to see. The short is playing in front of The Peanuts Movie in theaters already, so some of you might have seen it. If not, here is your chance to enjoy the entire Cosmic Scrat-tastrophe short in full. Have fun and bring oxygen. ›››

Watch: Impressive, Surreal Time Travel Short Film 'Therefore I Am'

    Therefore I Am Short Film

“I’m not here to amend my own life in some way, I’ve made peace with all my failures…” Get ready for a mindf*ck with this one. There’s a cool short film we highly recommend watching called Therefore I Am, a sci-fi psychological thriller from the McCoubrey Brothers – the same guys who made that dark comedy The Grey Matter. The film is set around a conversation between a man and someone claiming to be himself from the future, but everything changes with every word spoken. It is a “a time travel story”, but not in the way you think. It reminds me a bit of that short Interview With a Time Traveler, but even more intelligent. ›››

Must Watch: First Trailer for Duncan Jones' 'Warcraft' Movie is Here

    Warcraft

“Our world is dying, there is nothing to go back to… If our people are to survive, we must make our home here.” Universal and Legendary have officially debuted the first full-length trailer for Duncan Jones’ big screen Warcraft movie, adapting the video game series created by Blizzard Entertainment. This is one epic introduction to two different worlds – that of the humans, and of the orcs, and the two will confront each other for survival. Duncan seems to be presenting this as both sides of the story, following main characters from the orcs and the humans. The CGI is impressive, and will only get better as they finish rendering. The cast includes Ben Foster, Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Toby Kebbell, Rob Kazinsky, Dominic Cooper, Daniel Wu and Clancy Brown. Fire this up, and tell us what you think! Welcome to Warcraft. ›››

See the Trailer for Hans Zimmer's First Concert Tour Around Europe

    Hans Zimmer Concert Series

The next big composer to embark upon a concert tour is Hans Zimmer, who is preparing to travel around Europe in spring of 2016 for a Hans Zimmer Live show. We all know Zimmer’s music, his filmography is extensive ranging from Inception, Man of Steel and Spider-Man to The Rock, Gladiator and True Romance. He’s touring with a full orchestra, a full band, and he’ll be there himself, so this is one of those don’t-miss shows if you’re a fan of his scores. This teaser video below just shows a glimpse of some of the music being performed at another one-time live concert event in 2014 in London. But it makes me want to go see more. ›››

  • Review: 'Spectre' is a Bizarre Return To a Certain James Bond Era

Review: 'Spectre' is a Bizarre Return To a Certain James Bond Era

    Spectre Review

From its inception in 2006, the latest reboot of the James Bond franchise has taken some unexpected steps. Daniel Craig, blonde-headed as he is, quickly proved himself as the ideal choice to bring Ian Fleming’s debonair superspy to life. That part of the 007 equation has been on solid footing this whole time. The films, though, have gone to great lengths in sidestepping the expectations that come with a franchise that’s now passed its 50th year in the cultural zeitgeist. Craig is Bond yet again in Spectre, and, once again, fans of the series should immediately hit the eject button on any expectations. Any preconceived notion of what Spectre should be like will do a disservice to what the filmmakers were trying to do this time around. ›››

Watch: Trailer for Indie 'Touched With Fire' Featuring Katie Holmes

    Touched With Fire Trailer

“Are we a mistake, Carla? Are we a mistake?” Roadside Attractions has debuted the first trailer for Paul Dalio’s indie romantic drama Touched With Fire (formerly known as Mania Days when it premiered at SXSW), starring Katie Holmes as a manic depressive who falls “crazy in love” with someone just like her. At the psychiatric hospital she meets a fellow bipolar patient, played by Luke Kirby, and they end up on a “passionate, yet unhealthy love affair”. This looks much more powerful and beautiful than I was expecting, especially in the final 30 seconds of this trailer, so give it a chance and let it play all the way to the end. The cast includes Christine Lahti, Bruce Altman, Griffin Dunne and Alex Manette. You might just be intrigued. ›››
