First Teaser Trailer for 'John Wick: Chapter Two' Starring Keanu Reeves

    John Wick: Chapter Two Trailer

“Mr. Wick! Do enjoy your party.” Hell yes!! Lionsgate has unveiled the first official trailer for John Wick: Chapter Two, the highly anticipated sequel to the action classic John Wick from 2014. Keanu Reeves returns as legendary unkillable assassin John Wick, who has to fight off countless more foes in Rome after taking out the Russian mobsters in the original. This also stars Ian McShane as Winston, along with Ruby Rose, Bridget Moynahan, Peter Stormare, John Leguizamo, Thomas Sadoski, David Patrick Kelly, Common, Lance Reddick back as Charon, and Laurence Fishburne as The Bowler King. This looks badass!! I’ve been waiting impatiently ever since it was announced, thankfully it’s out in a few months. ›››

  • First Trailer for Guillermo del Toro's Animated Adventure 'Trollhunters'

First Trailer for Guillermo del Toro's Animated Adventure 'Trollhunters'

    Trollhunters Animated Trailer

“I knew you had potential!” Netflix has premiered the first trailer for a new series called Trollhunters, developed at DreamWorks Animaiton by horror/monster mastermind Guillermo del Toro. I’m breaking our rules to feature a trailer for a television series, which we never do, only because this was originally a movie. We posted a first look shot earlier in the year and it was being developed as a feature at the time (as far as we know). In the meantime, Netflix has picked it up and is turning it into an “original series” available streaming on December 23rd. Ron Perlman and Kelsey Grammer provide two of the voices, but the rest of the cast is unrevealed so far. This looks fun, but derivative, with a cheesy story and all the typical tropes. ›››

  • First Teaser Trailer for 'Power Rangers' About Five High School Teens

First Teaser Trailer for 'Power Rangers' About Five High School Teens

    Power Rangers Movie Trailer

“I’m not the same…” Lionsgate has revealed the first full-length teaser trailer for the new live-action Power Rangers movie, from the director of Project Almanac. They’re bringing back the classic colored superkids for an epic sci-fi movie and it looks pretty cool at first glance. The cast is lead by: Naomi Scott as The Pink Ranger, Becky G. as The Yellow Ranger, Ludi Lin as The Black Ranger, RJ Cyler as The Blue Ranger, and Dacre Montgomery as The Red Ranger. This also features Bryan Cranston as Zordon, Bill Hader as the voice of Alpha 5, Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa, as well as David Denman, Sarah Grey, Emily Maddison, and Caroline Cave. This teaser ends right when it’s getting good (revealing their outfits), but so far I’m admittedly intrigued. This trailer also features the song “I Walk The Line” by Halsey. Take a look. ›››

  • New US Trailer for 'The Take' with Idris Elba, Formerly 'Bastille Day'

New US Trailer for 'The Take' with Idris Elba, Formerly 'Bastille Day'

    The Take Trailer

“Briar – you’re reckless, and irresponsible – you can’t just run and start firing.” High Top has revealed a new trailer for a film now titled The Take, though it was originally titled Bastille Day when it opened in Europe earlier this summer. You may remember hearing about it, as we ran the UK trailer at the beginning of the year. Idris Elba stars as a former CIA agent who goes to Paris to help with an anti-terrorism mission. However, he proves to be more reckless than helpful. Also starring Richard Madden, Kelly Reilly and Charlotte Le Bon. Early reviews out of Europe indicate this is sadly quite mediocre. One co-director even dropped out, along with the title change, meaning this is probably worth skipping unless you need to see it. ›››

  • Jovovich Unleashes in Second 'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter' Trailer

Jovovich Unleashes in Second 'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter' Trailer

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter Trailer

“Sometimes I feel like this has been my whole life – running, killing.” Screen Gems has debuted the second full-length for the sixth Resident Evil movie, and apparently the final one, as it’s called Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. This has arrived online after premiering at the New York Comic-Con. Milla Jovovich is back, again, as Alice, who must return to Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corp is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse. The full cast includes Ruby Rose, Ali Larter, Iain Glen, Shawn Roberts, William Levy, Eoin Macken, Rola and Lee Joon-Gi. This looks better than expected, but it does look like they’re trying to connect to the first movie – right down to the laser room. I do appreciate the epic scope and scale, I just hope it’s actually better than the last few movies. ›››

  • Full Trailer Arrives for 'Underworld: Blood Wars' with Kate Beckinsale

Full Trailer Arrives for 'Underworld: Blood Wars' with Kate Beckinsale

    Underworld: Blood Wars

“Tell your Marius – I’m coming for him.” Screen Gems has released the second trailer for Underworld: Blood Wars, the fifth movie in the Underworld series first started in 2003 with the vampire action movie starring Kate Beckinsale. This has arrived online after premiering at the New York Comic-Con. Beckinsale is back, again, to play vampire death dealer Selene fighting to finally, hopefully, end the eternal war between the Lycan clan and Vampire faction. Also starring Lara Pulver, Theo James, Charles Dance, Tobias Menzies & Trent Garrett. Selene was the star of the first two films, then disappeared until Underworld: Awakening. I wasn’t excited for this when the first trailer hit, and I’m not more interested now. Have fun. ›››

  • Watch: Post-Apocalyptic Horror Short 'Eve' Directed by Annie Power

Watch: Post-Apocalyptic Horror Short 'Eve' Directed by Annie Power

    Eve Short Film

Another good short film to feature during October, to keep you in mood for more horror. We’ll be posting more horror shorts all month when we come across any worth sharing. This one is titled simply Eve, a short film about a woman trying to survive alone in a post-apocalyptic London wasteland. This has a very simple premise, and there’s not much dialogue, but I admire their attempt to tell a story on a very limited budget without much being said. Eve is directed by Annie Power. It’s admittedly not the best short you’ll see, but if you think you can do better then get out there and actually make a short. It’s not that easy. Enjoy the film. ›››

    Bleed for This UK Trailer

“I don’t mind the pain…” A new UK trailer has arrived for boxing drama Bleed For This, starring talented young actor Miles Teller as World Champion Boxer Vinny Pazienza. Paz started to rise in the boxing world in the early 90s, winning the junior middleweight world title, but broke his neck in a serious car accident. Doctors told him he may never walk again, but Paz returned to the ring thirteen months after the accident and made one of the greatest comebacks in the history of boxing. The cast includes Katey Sagal, Ciarán Hinds, Aaron Eckhart, Ted Levine, Kimberly Howe and Amanda Clayton. Both Teller and Eckhart give fantastic performances in this powerful story of overcoming hardship and fighting to do what you love. ›››
