  • Monster Hunter World Spring Blossom Event Now Live

Spring is in the air and that can only mean one thing: new monsters to hunt. Monster Hunter World has kicked off its Spring Blossom Fest this evening, which adds seasonal decorations, daily activities, and of course, some new loot. It runs until April 19 at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET.

During the festivities, the Gathering Hub is decorated with flowers and other springtime accoutrements. Event Quests will be running throughout the festival, starting with a quest for the community-designed Wyvern Ignition Great Sword. Starting on April 13, players can start an Event Quest to earn the Mega Man armor. It gives your Palico a boxy look and it plays classic Mega Man tunes according to your selected weapon.

The Spring Blossom Fest will also be running daily Limited Bounties. These should give you a reason to continue logging in, even after you’ve gotten your hands on the new weapon.

Capcom is keeping the Monster Hunter World train rolling with pretty frequent updates. Its first big update added the fearsome Deviljho, but the game has sported plenty of smaller updates and events besides that one. We’ve seen fairly constant changes, tweaks, and rotating costume events, like the launch event for Horizon Zero Dawn gear. Most recently it added a very odd helmet for the discerning monster hunter who has everything.

  • Fortnite Challenges Week 4: All Ice Cream Truck Locations And More

A new Fortnite update is now available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, but in addition to checking out the new stuff it has to offer, Battle Royale players have some other things they can now do. Fortnite‘s week 4 challenges recently rolled out for Battle Pass owners, and some of them might prove to be tricky.

The full list of challenges is outlined below; one requires you getting the right weapon and utilizing it efficiently (dealing a specific amount of damage with a sniper rifle), while another has you tracking down chests in the Flush Factory or supply drops around the map. There are two in particular that you might need some help with.

The first of these is not labeled as Hard; you’re told to visit five different ice cream trucks. These are scattered around the map–there are more than five in total, with a handful located right inside major locations like Tomato Town, Pleasant Park, and Retail Row. Others are in less obvious locations, though you can track them all down with this map shared by Reddit user imkairu.

What is labeled as Hard is the challenge that reads, “Search between a Vehicle Tower, Rock Sculpture, and a Circle of Hedges.” That somewhat vague clue is pointing you toward a point in the southeast corner of the map, in the G9 section. It’s just on the edge of some water–you can see it in this screenshot from Reddit user __Kaneda__, or see the map they provided here.

You can check out all of the week 4 challenges below. Keep in mind that, despite being added weekly, you have the entirety of Season 3 to finish these out. That means you can also go back to complete previous weekly challenges. Week 5’s challenges are now available.

Weekly challenges are only available to those who own the new Season 3 Battle Pass, which costs 950 V-Bucks. It expands the number of optional tasks you’re given in Battle Royale and allows you to unlock more items like outfits, gliders, and emotes. The Season 3 Battle Pass also includes new types of items, such as loading screens and Back Bling. Check out our gallery of Battle Pass rewards for a look at everything you can get.

  • Official Trailer for Lauren Greenfield's Superb Doc 'Generation Wealth'

Official Trailer for Lauren Greenfield's Superb Doc 'Generation Wealth'

    Generation Wealth Trailer

“I noticed that know matter how much people had – they still wanted more.” Amazon has debuted a trailer for the superb documentary Generation Wealth, from photographer / filmmaker Lauren Greenfield (also of The Queen of Versailles). This first premiered at the Sundance and Berlin Film Festivals, and it’s an outstanding doc about how our obsession with money has actually gotten worse, and destroyed more lives, than anything positive. Greenfield takes a long-form look at her photography work, by examining a series of shots she took of wealthy kids in Los Angeles and following up with them today to see where they are. In addition, she profiles other wealthy (and formerly wealthy) people and asks them what it means to them. I adore this doc because it perfectly posits how greed will be America’s downfall, with endlessly compelling examples of people good and bad. If you aren’t actually aware just yet, maybe this film will open your eyes. ›››

The Beatles' Animated 'Yellow Submarine' Movie Returning to Cinemas

    Yellow Submarine

“It’s all in the mind, y’know…” Get your psychedelic drugs ready, it’s time to take a trip back into the wacky world of The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine. The classic, wacky animated movie Yellow Submarine, released in 1968 as The Beatles’ fourth feature film, is returning to theaters/cinemas in the US and UK. Abraorama has announced the re-release for the 50th anniversary, which will feature a brand new 4K digital restoration of the film. The restoration was done carefully frame-by-frame in order to maintain the delicate nature of the original hand-drawn artwork. It also features a completely new mix in 5.1 stereo surround sound. As always, when a film like this heads back to the big screen, it’s the best time to catch it and experience it the way it was meant to be seen. This is one of those films I still haven’t watched, so I’m looking forward to this. ›››

US Trailer for Rebellious Iranian Film 'Ava' Directed by Sadaf Foroughi

    Ava Trailer

“Who’s this boy who waits for you everyday?” Grasshopper Films has released an official US trailer for a rebellious drama titled Ava, from Iran, the feature debut of filmmaker Sadaf Foroughi. Deemed “exquisite” and “spellbinding,” the film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last year, and stopped by the Göteborg Film Festival, Portland Film Festival, and New Directors/New Films earlier this year. Ava tells the story of Ava, played by Mahour Jabbari, a high school girl in Iran. Her life becomes more complicated after her mother catches her in an act of rebellion. The cast includes Bahar Noohian, Vahid Aghapoor, Parnian Akhtari, Sarah Alimoradi, Mona Ghiasi, and Houman Hoursan. Rebel, young Ava! This looks great. Impressive cinematography, to go with an inspiring story of fierce independence in the face of oppression. ›››

  • First Trailer for High School Comedy 'Class Rank' Directed by Eric Stoltz

First Trailer for High School Comedy 'Class Rank' Directed by Eric Stoltz

    Class Rank Trailer

“In order to change her rank she had to change the rules.” Cinedigm has released the trailer for a high school, teen comedy titled Class Rank, one of the first two films directed by actor-turned-filmmaker Eric Stoltz (his other film is Confessions of a Teenage Jesus Jerk). It’s described as a “quirky teen comedy about placement, politics and finding your voice.” The story follows two high school outsiders who join forces in an attempt to overtake the school board. Guided by their families, they enter the perilous word of politics and, in the process, learn a thing or two about love. Yep. Class Rank stars Olivia Holt, Skyler Gisondo, Kristin Chenoweth, plus Bruce Dern. This makes me want to watch Alexander Payne’s Election again. ›››

First Trailer for Comedy 'The Escape of Prisoner 614' with Ron Perlman

The Escape of Prisoner 614 Trailer

“What if he IS innocent?” Saban Films + Lionsgate have released the first official trailer for an indie offbeat comedy titled The Escape of Prisoner 614, from first-time director Zach Golden. The film is about two inept, small-town Sheriff’s Deputies who catch an escaped prisoner that they believe was wrongly convicted. There’s some fun trickery and twists in this, as far as I can tell, and it looks kooky but very funny and quite smart, to be honest. Ron Perlman stars as one of the sheriffs, with a cast including Martin Starr, Jake McDorman, and George Sample III as Prisoner 614. It reminds me a bit of O Brother, Where Art Thou?, but with a totally different feel. I’m digging the footage for this, will definitely toss it in my queue to watch. ›››

  • Spyro The Dragon Remaster Leaked For PS4 And Xbox One, Release Date And Box Art Emerge

Spyro The Dragon Remaster Leaked For PS4 And Xbox One, Release Date And Box Art Emerge

Spyro’s rumored remaster trilogy has been leaked. The original three games will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One on September 21, 2018, according to an Amazon listing.

Amazon India states the remaster–officially titled Spyro: Reignited Trilogy–will contain “all three original Spyro games fully remastered in HD.” That means you’ll get the first Spyro the Dragon, as well as Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage (known as Spyro 2: Gateway to Glimmer in Europe and Australia), and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. In total, the bundle includes “100+ levels, remastered with breathtaking graphical updates and improved gameplay controls,” according to the listing, which also displays what looks to be final box art and a bunch of screenshots, which you can see below.

Amazon Mexico has a similar entry for Spyro: Reignited Trilogy, while a screenshot that looks very similar to the above box art has been spotted on the official Spyro website. The trilogy has been rumored in the past, and these latest leaks make the possibility of a Spyro remaster seem more plausible. However, that report stated the bundle would be a timed exclusive to PS4–similar to last year’s Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy–and that it would be developed by Vicarious Visions; the new box art appears to cite Skylanders developer Toys for Bob as the studio behind the Reignited Trilogy.

This September marks the 20th anniversary of Spyro the Dragon’s original release on PS1. That game, as well as the subsequent two that will be included in this remaster, were developed by Insomniac Games, the studio that would go on to create Ratchet & Clank, Resistance, and Sunset Overdrive. Later entries in the series were handled by other studios, with the biggest recent success being the spin-off Skylanders series.

  • New Overwatch Archives Event Lets You Play A Key Story Moment

Blizzard has unveiled Retribution, a new mission that will be coming to Overwatch as part of the Overwatch Archives event. Like 2017’s Uprising, which allowed players to experience Tracer’s first ever mission as part of Overwatch, Retribution delves into another key moment in the series’ lore.

“Travel eight years into the past and join Blackwatch as they seek to capture a high-ranking member of the Talon organization,” Blizzard explains. “Fight in the streets of Venice as Genji, Moira, McCree, or Reyes (later known as Reaper) to complete the mission and unlock pieces of the past with over 100 items from last year and 60 new ones—including highlight intros, emotes, sprays, and more.”

The trailer, which you can watch above, shows Genji, Moira, McCree, and Reyes infiltrating a building. Naturally, everything goes wrong and before long they’re fighting for their lives in a desperate escape. Of course, the characters are wearing their Blackwatch costumes, which will be available to unlock during the game, along with numerous other cosmetic items.

Last year’s Uprising mode will also be playable during the Overwatch Archives event, and can be played in Story Mode or All Heroes Mode. Story Mode will properly retell Tracer’s first mission in King’s Row, with four heroes available: Tracer, Mercy, Reinhardt, and Torbjorn. All Heroes Mode, meanwhile, lets you play the same King’s Row mission but as any hero you want. As announced previously, the new Uprising event goes live on April 10.

Overwatch was one of the subjects of Versus, a new, fun debate show on GameSpot. In the first episode ,Tamoor Hussain–an Overwatch fan–and Oscar Dayus–who loves Rainbow Six Siege–argue over which game is better, discussing categories such as characters and map design, before having a much lighter quick-fire question round.
