  • Random: This Is Easily the Funniest Red Dead Redemption 2 Video We've Seen

    You okay, Arthur?

Mondays can be tough, so we thought that we’d go ahead and post a video that made us laugh our asses off. The video comes from YouTube user BedBananas, who’s been making brilliant game-related goofs for years, but we reckon that this Red Dead Redemption 2 compilation is quite possibly the best yet.

There are some very minor story spoilers here, but nothing that takes place past chapter two in the game. The video’s full of mad physics glitches, hilarious situations, and downright glorious editing. It’s well worth 12 minutes of your time, especially if you’re loving Red Dead 2.

    PS4 camera deals

It’s crucial you buy a PS4 camera along with your VR headset, otherwise, it will not work. Don’t pay more than the standard £40/$60 for the camera though.  Sony released an updated, rounder (see image above) model with a built-in TV-mount and there are deals included in the chart below, usually priced around £40-£45, which isn’t bad considering the new clip. The older PS4 camera is also compatible with PlayStation VR. If there’s nothing tempting below, maybe try for a new/preowned unit via eBay?

    PlayStation Move controller deals

The PlayStation Move motion controllers are very much an optional purchase as not every game supports them. Many that do, also have options to use the standard DualShock 4 PS4 controller instead.

Move wands aren’t as readily available as the cameras at the moment, but there are deals to be found if you shop around -or let us do it via that magical box below. some of the more expensive results are actually for twin packs. We’d advise a little caution if you’re considering preowned units, as the lack of use in recent years may have dulled the charge capacity of the battery compared to new controllers. If you want to try your luck (and probably save a fair amount), here are some handy links for eBay.

  • Out Run Races Onto The Japanese Switch eShop Later This Week

    That was quick.

Out Run was confirmed as the next game in the Sega AGES line last week and already it’s been revealed it will arrive on the Japanese eShop later this week. Sega announced the 29th November release date via its official Twitter account. The price of the game aligns with existing releases in this line and will set players back 925 yen (approx. £6.30 / $8.30).

Unfortunately, nothing has changed locally – with the game still expected to be released early next year. What makes this just a tiny bit more frustrating is how we’re still waiting on Phantasy Star – which suffered multiple delays – and won’t even be available here until 13th December.

We very much hope you’ve been saving up, as the asking price for Mr. Wright to defend you in court isn’t exactly cheap.

In total, there are three different editions available to pre-order right now until 28th November. Once you’ve put down a reservation, you’ll need to return to the F4F website on 30th November and validate your order. The pricing starts at $229.99 and goes all the way up to $299.99. • Petey Piranha And Shy Guy Join The Mario Tennis Aces Roster Next Month

    Double trouble.

When Mario Tennis Aces was released in June, it was praised for improving the series. Not long after, it was criticised by players – with some even calling the game’s developer Camelot “lazy” for not fleshing out certain modes and features. The character roster was linked to this, with a limited selection of players on release.

Since then, the developer has fixed bugs, added in features and slowly released more characters. Yesterday we found out Luma, Pauline and Boom Boom would be joining the player roster early next year, and now, Nintendo’s Japanese YouTube account has uploaded two new videos (above and below) promoting the upcoming arrival of Petey Piranha and Shy Guy. These two new characters will be added to the roster in December alongside the online tournament doubles division – allowing you to compete with a friend. Peter Piranha is all about powerful actions on the court and Shy Guy specialises in technical play.

  • Nintendo Secures Smartphone Trademarks For Kirby's Dream Land, Art Academy And Bowser's Inside Story

    Covering all bases.

Earlier this month, Nintendo secured trademarks for The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and Mario Vs. Donkey Kong. This followed with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Wii Sports Resort days later. What was interesting about these applications at the time was the fact each one covered ‘program for smartphone’.

We’re now nearly at the end of the month and Nintendo is at it again. This time it has grabbed trademarks for Kirby’s Dream Land, Art Academy and Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story. Yet again, these reference ‘program for home video game machine’, ‘downloadable video game program’ and ‘program for smartphone’.

  • Video: Nintendo's Japanese Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Commercials Make The Game Look Incredible

    So close now.

Nintendo has done a tremendous job advertising Super Smash Bros. Ultimate prior to the game’s release next month. There have been special Direct presentations and even multiple events around the globe where the general public has been able to try out the game before launch. With the majority of information about the title now out in the wild – in more ways than one – the anticipation for what is expected to be the biggest Switch release of the year is at an all-time high.

To continue building excitement for what is now the best pre-selling Smash and Switch game, Nintendo has released new Japanese commercials. The one above makes impressive use of the Animal Crossing fighters and stage, while the ones below channel Splatoon and Street Fighter. Of course, if you’re doing your best to avoid spoilers, it would be best to click away.

  • New Alien Game, Blackout, Revealed In Trademark Filing

It looks like the new Alien game announced in January might now have a name. 20th Century Fox has filed a trademark application for a new video game called Alien: Blackout.

Trademark applications do not always result in announcements of a new product. It is possible that 20th Century Fox is merely grabbing the trademark to protect the future opportunity to make a game called Alien: Blackout. For what it’s worth, Activision trademarked games like Call of Duty: Secret Warfare and others that never came to be.

    WORLDS // WILL // CHANGE on December 6 #TheGameAwards pic.twitter.com/2b8ZPZCTbv

    — Geoff Keighley (@geoffkeighley) November 2, 2018

If Alien: Blackout is indeed a real game, one place where it could get announced is at The Game Awards next month on December 6. Organiser Geoff Keighley has teased that this year’s show will feature a lot of announcements and surprises, including those from “huge franchises.” The Alien series would certainly meet the criteria of being a “huge franchise.”

Earlier this month, Keighley posted a cryptic teaser for The Game Awards with the tagline “Worlds Will Change.” Intriguingly, the font appears to be similar the one that Weyland Industries uses in the Alien series.

The show we have coming together this year gets more and more insane every day. We’ve never had a lineup of announcements like this. Big surprises. Huge franchises. And now, you’ll meet the nominees that bring heart and passion to the stage. #TheGameAwards

    — Geoff Keighley (@geoffkeighley) November 13, 2018

A new Alien game for console and PC was announced in January this year. This game is in development at the San Francisco-based Cold Iron Studios, which was established in 2015 and is now owned by FoxNext, which is the video game division of Fox. Cold Iron is staffed by people who worked on titles such as Neverwinter, Star Trek Online, City of Heroes, BioShock Infinite, Borderlands, Doom, and Metroid Prime 3. The new Alien game will be Cold Iron’s first title.

Beyond the fact that it is a shooter, FoxNext also said this game will “deliver an action-packed gaming experience.” No other details are available at this time.

Since there are no details available yet, it’s possible Alien: Blackout is the name of Cold Iron’s game or potentially something else entirely.

2014’s Alien: Isolation from UK studio Creative Assembly is the latest installment in the Alien video game series for console and PC. The game sold more than 2 million copies. Creative Assembly talked about ideas for a sequel, but it remains to be seen if that will ever happen.
