UFC 244 live stream: how to watch Masvidal vs Diaz from anywhere on Saturday

UFC returns to NYC this weekend with its next big PPV but this time things are going to be a little different as there are no major championship bouts on the main card. Instead we’ll get to see Jorge Masvidal square off against Nate Diaz in a welterweight grudge match as the main event of UFC 244. Discover the best ways to get a UFC 244 live stream – no matter where you are in the world.

In Masvidal vs Diaz, we have two fighters both wanting the chance to win the newly-created and one time only “BMF” title to determine who is the baddest battler in the UFC is.

UFC had originally planned for a welterweight championship fight between Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington for the main event of UFC 244. However, negotiations between the two broke down and the promotion instead decided to reward fans with a match that has been brewing since Diaz called out Masvidal after defeating Anthony Pettis in the co-main event of UFC 241.

Now Diaz the ‘West Coast Gangster’ will have his chance at the ‘East Coast Goon’ Masvidal at UFC 244 on Saturday at Madison Square Garden. To sweeten the deal, the “BMF” title will be awarded by none other than Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

Elsewhere on the card, Kelvin Gastelum will take on Darren Till in a middleweight bout for the first time in his UFC career in the co-main event and Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson will go up against Vicente Luque in a welterweight bout.

Whether you’ll be cheering for Masvidal or Diaz during Saturday’s MMA action, we’ll show you how to live stream UFC 244’s card from anywhere in the world – for US viewers, you should just head straight to ESPN+

  • NHS gets millions to move to digital prescriptions

The government has announced a fresh batch of funding to the tune of £26 million in order to help hospitals upgrade to digital prescriptions rather than handwritten efforts.

Some 25 NHS trusts will receive the money which aims to make all sorts of efficiency improvements, not least of which will be reducing medication errors by up to 30% compared to the old paper-based way of doing things. The move will also be a considerable time-saver, freeing up staff to do other things.

This is part of the goal for the NHS to get electronic prescriptions in place across all providers, and the £26 million to be given out in 2020 is the second dollop from a total pot of £78 million to speed up the rollout of such electronic systems over the next three years.

Edward Argar, who is Minister for Health, commented: “Electronic prescriptions in our hospitals will not only do away with old fashioned paper prescriptions but can help prevent avoidable and potentially catastrophic medication errors.”

An electronic system will also mean that NHS staff can get quick access to information on prescribed medicines for any particular patient. And the government further observes that it will facilitate a single electronic record which will reduce any duplication or other time-wasting aspects concerning information gathering.

    Secure storage

However, as Matt Eckersall – Region Director, EMEA West, SUSE – warns, there are some potentially tricky aspects to this part of the government’s plans.

Eckersall observes: “Building up a complete, single electronic record will come with its own challenges, including how to handle the rapid increase in digital data generated and how to store it in a safe, cost-efficient manner.

“While the NHS already collects a huge amount of data, including sensitive and personally identifiable patient information, this new development will require the organisation to carefully consider its existing data storage infrastructure. Data centre storage can be expensive, encouraging many organisations to look to cloud platforms instead.

“Although the NHS will be used to relying on the cloud to some extent, this may need to increase if the NHS is to successfully handle this huge influx of digital data while ensuring information security, integrity and processing performance without breaking the bank.”

And on the subject of cost-effective storage, he adds: “The open source community is providing the solutions to meet this demand for affordable storage. Organisations like the NHS can turn to easy-to-manage, future-proofed open source solutions that provide unlimited scalability, such as software-defined storage.”

  • Apple’s Mac Pro 2019 launch date could be soon – here’s why

The 2019 Apple Mac Pro launch is apparently imminent, with a recent device filing through the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) being made public. This would line up with general expectations of a late 2019 release for the new workstation.

It’s admittedly unclear exactly when the new Mac Pro could launch, but judging by previous late-year Apple Mac releases, particularly the iMac Pro of 2017, this new model could launch as late as mid-December. The iMac Pro didn’t hit retailers until December 14 of that year.

So, we could be another six weeks out from a Mac Pro 2019 release date, if Apple follows a similar pattern to 2017.

    A new accessory color scheme

Thanks to data mining discovered by software developer Steve Troughton-Smith and reported by AppleInsider, we now also know that the Mac Pro is likely to come with accessories in all-new colors.

Images within the code of the latest macOS 10.15.1 release reveal a newly-colored Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad: black keys and a black tracking surface on the silver aluminum keyboard deck and trackpad base, respectively.

These accessories were apparently on display during the Mac Pro debut earlier this year, but are now all but confirmed, thanks to some clutch data mining. This also lines up with the Apple Pro Display XDR color scheme, as well as the clean silver of the Mac Pro workstation tower itself.

At any rate, expect to see some shiny new colors when the 2019 Mac Pro finally releases, which we could be waiting another six weeks for – hopefully at most.

    • Will we see any big Mac deals on Black Friday? Fingers crossed

  • Bluepoint Games Tackles PS5 Speculation with Top Trolling

    Having a blast.

Bluepoint Games is making a “big game” for the PlayStation 5, which we expect to be Demon’s Souls Remake. Of course, nothing’s been confirmed at this stage, and the Texas-based developer is having fun with all of the speculation. In order to celebrate Halloween, it’s composed a tweet which somehow manages to reference at least seven PlayStation associated franchises.

    The referenced franchises include:

  • Guide: All Predicted PS5 Launch Games

Every day one release we expect for PlayStation 5.

What will be the PS5’s launch lineup? While Sony’s shared some details about its next-gen device, it’s stopped short of revealing any software for the PlayStation 5 thus far. Of course, if the system is set to release in 2020, then developers will already be hard at work creating titles for the anticipated appliance. In this article we’re going to share our predicted roster of day one releases for the Japanese giant’s next home console.

    All Predicted PS5 Launch Games

    • Assassin’s Creed: Kingdom: A Viking-themed open world game set in the Assassin’s Creed series is known to be in development ahead of release next year.
    • Call of Duty 2020: Treyarch will take the reins of Call of Duty 2020, despite releasing Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 in 2018. It means the franchise’s flagship developer will have a shot at a PS5 launch game.
    • Cyberpunk 2077: One of the PS4’s last meaningful releases is all but guaranteed to get a PS5 upgrade, but will it be available at launch?
    • Death Stranding: Hideo Kojima’s no stranger to re-releases, and with a PC version of Death Stranding presumably also planned, don’t be surprised to see a Definitive Edition of the hiking sim deploy on PS5.
    • Dreams: A game this good deserves to live as long as possible, and we fully expect Dreams – which should finally be finished on PS4 by the time the PS5 launches – to get ported over as promptly as possible.
    • Dying Light 2: We know that a PS5 version of Dying Light 2 is in development, and Techland is an extremely efficient studio that should be able to capitalise on next-gen enthusiasm.
    • eFootball PES 2021: Pro Evolution Soccer missed the PS4 launch, but the series seems to be in a much better place these days. We’d expect the next iteration of eFootball on day one.
    • FIFA 21: As if FIFA 21 is going to miss the PS5’s launch lineup. This one will likely be available on the PS4 at the beginning of the season, but expect a big upgrade for PS5 at launch.
    • Final Fantasy VII Remake: Much like Cyberpunk 2077, this will depend on exactly how the PS5 handles backwards compatibility. Would you count out Final Fantasy VII Remake at launch?
    • Ghost of Tsushima: Despite being announced for the PS4, this could be the PS5’s flagship launch title. Expect a cross-gen release similar to Breath of the Wild.
    • Rainbow Six: Quarantine: Like so many of Ubisoft’s titles, its tactical co-op shooter is in development for the PS5 and could look to establish an audience at launch.
    • Gods & Monsters: The whimsical storybook adventure game from the creators of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is in development for the PS5, and would make a standout launch title.
    • Gran Turismo 7: Gran Turismo Sport has laid the foundations, and the PS5 will need a good racing game at launch. With a single player campaign added to the e-sports aspect, this could be a big launch title.
    • Guerrilla Multiplayer Shooter: Sony’s said it wants to explore more multiplayer games, and it’s re-recruited one of Rainbow Six: Siege’s top dogs at Guerrilla Games. Expect some kind of shooter at launch.
    • Just Dance 2021: We probably won’t even bother reviewing this one, but Ubisoft loves a launch lineup, and if there’s a camera for PS5, you can count on Just Dance making the roster.
    • Madden NFL 21: You can pretty much bank on all the annual sports games making the PS5’s launch lineup, and Madden NFL 21 will be no different.
    • NBA 2K21: 2K Sports’ basketball sim is one of the best looking series on the market, and it’ll be fascinating to see how it’s upgraded for the PS5.
    • NBA Live 21: EA Sports opted to cancel NBA Live 20 in order to focus its efforts on the PS5, so expect this to be a launch title on the next-gen console.
    • The Last of Us: Part II: It’s going to get ported to the PS5 at some point, we’ll just need to wait and see whether The Last of Us: Part II is ready to roll at launch.
    • Watch Dogs Legion: Given the calibre of the software around it, Watch Dogs Legion could get overlooked when it launches on PS4 in March. Ubisoft could give it another shot by re-releasing it alongside the PS5.

This is our predicted PS5 launch lineup, but do you agree with our picks? Which titles would you pick up day one from this selection? Make your picks in the comments section below.

  • Random: Adorable Beat Saber Halloween Costumes Get a Treat Every Time

    Bloc Party.

Isn’t this just the sweetest? A young 10-year-old girl who goes by the name of Yeva Codes on Twitter has posted her Halloween costume online along with whom we assume are her siblings. They’re dressed up as the blocks you need to hit in order to score points in Beat Saber, and it’s all a little bit adorable.

The Twitter clip above is just a short snapshot of the full video, which can be viewed through here. Taking a look at the Twitter account in question, however, reveals some fairly fascinating facts. Yeva is a young coder making VR games and has combined the two to teach coding in virtual reality. That’s an impressive feat at any age, but for a 10-year-old to get something like this off the ground is incredibly admirable. Nice one Yeva!

  • Interview: Dying Light 2 Dev Talks Free DLC, Narrative Choices, and PS5

    Good night, good luck.

With a release window of Spring 2020, Dying Light 2 could be considered a game that’s floating a little bit under the radar. It’ll launch around the same time as Cyberpunk 2077 and The Last of Us: Part II following its unexpected delay, but that doesn’t mean this open-world zombie survival simulator is an undertaking you should pass on. In fact, following the incredible experience that its predecessor had to offer, this is one you need to be keeping your eye on. To discuss Dying Light 2 in greater depth, we were lucky enough to catch up with lead game designer Tymon Smektala at EGX 2019 to talk narrative, choices, and the PlayStation 5.

Push Square: The original Dying Light was very much focused on combat and parkour, but with the sequel it seems like you’ve brought the narrative into it to become such an important core pillar. What inspired that choice?
