  • PS5 Horror Game Quantum Error Gets First Trailer, Watch It Here

One of the first horror games for PlayStation 5 has received its first trailer. Developer TeamKill Media has released the first trailer for the “cosmic-horror” first-person shooter game Quantum Error.

The trailer looks impressive, but the studio cautioned that the footage was generated in-engine, and is a work-in-progress look at how the game is coming along. As such, it does not represent the final game, so keep that in mind when taking a look at the trailer.

Quantum Error is the second game from TeamKill, following their debut game, Kings of Lorn: The Fall of Ebris. That title was released in 2018 for PS4 and PC.

  • Microsoft Flight Simulator’s Live Servers Show Real-World Flights Too, Or You Can Fly Alone

Microsoft Flight Simulator is looking like, by far, the most detailed and meticulous flight sim ever made, but there will inevitably be a divide between players who want to take it very seriously and players who want to do loops and fly erratically. Now, in a new video, the game’s multiplayer features have been revealed–and it looks like Microsoft is planning to cater to all kinds of players.

By default, Microsoft Flight Simulator’s live servers will put you in a shared online world with not only other players, but AI replicas of real-world flight paths, meaning that you’ll be able to track the flights happening all over the world in real-time while flying yourself. Time and weather conditions will also be synced up with real-world conditions in Live Player mode, which can be entered seamlessly without needing to join or start a lobby.

The game will show off “most, if not all” airplanes that are in the air in the real world at any given time. But players can also choose to create their own conditions if they so desire, or make realism less of a priority.

  • Apocalyptic City Builder Endzone: A World Apart Gets Early Access Release Date

Endzone: A World Apart is a post-apocalyptic settlement building game from German developer Gentlymad Studios. The game is set 150 years after a nuclear apocalypse, setting the player up as the leader of a group sent to recolonize Earth after living in underground bunkers called Endzones.

The hostile management sim tasks players with building a new settlement on the radiation-ravaged Earth, gathering resources to sustain it and surviving threats including droughts, sandstorms, toxic rain, and the latent radioactivity lurking in the ground.

With radiation being key to the themes of the game, Endzone has an in-depth system to manage it. Each tile has its own radiation level, and these can change over time with events like sandstorms.

  • Doom Eternal Is Having A Great Start, It Seems

Doom Eternal is off to a Hell of a good start, it seems. The game’s PC edition recorded almost 105,000 concurrent players on Steam recently after release. That’s a massive number, and to put it into further context, it’s more much higher than the reported all-time high concurrent player number for its predecessor, 2016’s Doom.

Benji Sales on Twitter crunched some numbers and reports that 105,000 concurrent players on Steam is far and away the biggest release for Bethesda in recent years. It surpasses peak concurrent player numbers on Steam for Doom 2016 (31,623), Dishonored 2 (22,269), Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus (16,050), and The Evil Within 2 (9,846), according to Benji Sales’ numbers.

Steam’s own public statistics page shows Doom Eternal had more than 85,000 peak concurrent players on March 22, making it one of the top 15 most popular games on the service.

  • Xbox Live Usage Spikes As People Stay Home During Coronavirus Outbreak

Microsoft’s online gaming network, Xbox Live, is experiencing increased demand as people stay home from work and school amid concerns around the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus).
