The cheapest Xbox One controller deals and prices in March 2020

Cheap Xbox One controller prices aren’t too easy to find. That’s because retailers rarely lower the price of Xbox controller deals, leaving shoppers to pay full price most of the time. You can, however, find competitive prices online, and that’s where we come in. We’re here to help you find the best prices on Xbox One controllers.

Here’s the thing: console deals are awesome, and often come loaded with huge savings, but unless you buy a bundle that specifically packs in a second controller, your Xbox One will only arrive alongside one. Why is that the case? The main reason is that it’s cheaper that way, yet it still makes it seem like the manufacturer is cutting you some kind of deal.

But just because you’re getting shorted a controller doesn’t mean you should go without a second one – how else would you ever play a local multiplayer game without one? For that reason a second controller is a crucial pick-up. So let’s see what Xbox One deals are out there.

The cheapest Xbox One controller prices

Xbox One controllers in all colors of the rainbow!

While black and white are the most popular choices for extra gamepads, they’re not the only options. In fact, if you really want to add a splash of color to your console, there are plenty of neat controller color schemes to do just that.

We’ve listed them below for your perusing convenience.

We’ve rounded up the latest Microsoft Surface Go prices and deals for your consideration with the freshest batch of orders for the tablet. Now that the Surface Go has been out a little longer, we’re starting to see retailers bring the prices down more often, which is great news for you bargain fans.

If you’ve been eyeing up the line of Surface Pro tablet/laptop convertibles but thought they were a bit expensive, or too big to carry around a lot, the Surface Go is the cut-price diminutive alternative that’ll allow you to save some serious cash while getting that super cool form-factor.

The latest Microsoft Surface Go prices

There are two versions of the Microsoft Surface Go tablet for you to consider. The cheapest option comes in at $399.99 / £379.99 / AUS$599.99  and has a 64GB SSD and 4GB of RAM. Need a boost in spec? There’s also a 128GB / 8GB RAM model coming in at $549.99 / £509.99 / AUS$839.99.

Much like the bigger Surface Pro though, the Surface Go, doesn’t come with a keyboard (known as the Type Cover) as standard, so do bear that in mind when checking out the latest prices, as the cheapest offers more than likely don’t include the keyboard as a bundle. As things stand, you order the Type Cover separately, with prices starting at $99.99 in the US, £99.99 in the UK AU$149.95 in Australia. We’ve included a comparison chart for these below too.

  • Huawei and ZTE face further US bans with $1bn ‘rip and replace’ campaign

The US Senate has approved $1 billion in funding for rural operators to remove equipment from Chinese firms Huawei and ZTE from their infrastructure.

The package had been put forward by the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which comprises both Republicans and Democrats, last year but the unanimous approval from the Senate means the legislation will now be sent to President Donald Trump to be signed off.

Chinese vendors have largely been excluded from the US market because of national security concerns, with major carriers opting to use radio equipment from Ericsson, Nokia and others.

    Huawei USA

However a number of smaller providers use kit from Huawei and ZTE because it is relatively inexpensive. The Rural Wireless Association, which represents operators with fewer than 100,000 customers, estimates a quarter of its members have Chinese-made kit in their networks.

Huawei said the legislation was underfunded and would harm consumers and businesses – especially those in the underserved areas that these rural carriers serve.

“[The bill] does not address the most significant issues of network security, but sells out people and operators in rural areas at the expense of taxpayers,” said a Huawei spokesperson. “It also completely ignores the alternative proposals put forth by our rural customers which provide a more holistic approach and will increase the network security profile of all U.S. networks at a fraction of the cost outlined in the legislation.

“While the intention of this bill is to provide a robust and secure network for all Americans, if implemented the legislation passed yesterday will fall woefully short.”

Last year, Huawei and ZTE were effectively blacklisted by the US, preventing them from doing business with US suppliers. Huawei has frequently denied any allegations that its products are a security risk, while the US government has produced no evidence of any wrongdoing. Nonetheless, Washington is now urging allies to follow its lead and ban Huawei from their 5G deployments.

In the UK, operators had argued innovation would decrease and costs would rise if they were barred from Huawei’s 5G gear and it appears as though the government eventually decided there was no alternative.

Last month it was confirmed that Huawei equipment could be used in the radio layer of 5G networks but not in sensitive areas like the core – effectively preserving the status quo. However Huawei kit is subject to a 35 per cent cap.

Despite the ongoing hostility, Huawei is pushing ahead with its 5G strategy. Earlier this week it declared it believed it was 12-18 months ahead of the likes of Ericsson and Nokia and boasted that the number of 5G contracts it has won now stands at 91 – up from 65 in December. This figure includes 47 in Europe.

  • Borderlands 3’s Next Big DLC Has One Helluva Title

    It’s ten words long.

Borderlands 3 is getting its second major DLC pack on 26th March, and if its contents are as large as its title then fans of the threequel should be in for treat. Named – wait for it – Guns, Love, and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright and Hammerlock, developer Gearbox promises to whisk you away to the icy planet of Xylourgos, where you’ll come face-to-face with unfathomable Lovecraftian foes.

It’ll be followed by the Mayhem 2.0 end-game update in April, which will include a bunch of modifiers including the ever-popular Big Head mode. There’ll also be a time-limited event named Revenge of the Cartels.

    But how soon?

Gearbox has just wrapped up its panel at PAX East, and perhaps surprisingly, PlayStation 5 title Godfall put in an appearance. The audience was treated to the same announcement trailer from the game’s reveal at The Game Awards, but what was most interesting is what Counterplay Games had to say after the fact. According to the team, it has “more to tell about Godfall really, really soon”.

  • The New Experiences of Ark: Genesis Part 1

    Hi there, survivors!

Craig from Studio Wildcard here, and I’m super excited to be talking about Ark: Genesis Part 1, our newest expansion to Ark: Survival Evolved. We’re adding a whole bunch of new gameplay elements, and giving each survivor their own personal companion: AI construct HLN-A.

We’re always exploring different ways to convey the story of the Ark universe and we think HLN-A is a great step in a new direction. The fantastically talented Amber Lee Connors reprises her role (sort of) as Helena and brings her wonderful charisma and snark to the role. She acts as a vessel for us to deliver story more directly to the player and as the catalyst for the all-new mission system. HLN-A stays with survivors every step of the way, helping them explore the new biomes and guiding them through missions with cheeky hints.

    Ark Genesis

Speaking of missions, these are new ways for survivors to experience the Ark universe. In addition to the traditional Ark gameplay, missions give players a way to experience Ark in a more directed and objective-focused way. No spoilers on what those missions are, though. You’ll find them in the Genesis simulation.

Ok, one spoiler… my personal favorites are probably the races. They may not be the truest test of a survivor’s Ark skills, but the dev team’s races got pretty heated whenever we played them, and there were more than a few rematches demanded.

    Ark Genesis

    It’s not just the
gameplay that we’re pushing the boundaries on. The creatures found in the
Genesis simulation are like nothing survivors have seen before. I have a soft
spot for the Spooder, I mean BogStrider… I mean Bloodstalker. We have like 30
names for it (good luck finding out how to unlock them!). Most of the new
creatures bring something crazy and new to the game, from the Bloodstalker’s
ability to webswing across terrain to the Space Whale’s warp jump.

All these abilities will help survivors explore the crazy new environments in Ark: Genesis Part 1. Because the Genesis simulation is supposed to prepare survivors for the most extreme possibilities, each biome is incredibly different from the others, and requires considerable preparation. The Arctic and Swamp biomes ease players into this, and the Volcanic and Ocean biomes really start testing survivors. By the time survivors make it to the Lunar environment, they must deal with radiation, lower gravity, and an almost complete lack of food and water!

    Ark Genesis

As much as I’d love to talk about where the Ark story is going, I have a bad habit of dropping spoilers. Nobody wants that, but what I can say is that once you finally get to the end of ARK: Genesis – Part 1, you won’t be able to wait for the next chapter!

    The Genesis Season Pass includes:
    – ARK: Genesis Part 1 (available February 2020)
    – ARK: Genesis Part 2 (available Winter 2020)
    – Exclusive HLN-A cosmetic pet (available right now!)

The massive “ARK: Genesis Part 1” expansion includes:

Waking up within a virtual simulation, you must survive in a world unlike anything you’ve seen before! ARK: Genesis represents a new, story-oriented beginning in ARK’s epic saga of survival. With a strangely familiar companion, you must overcome the simulation’s rigorous tests. Only by fighting, building, taming, and exploring will you uncover the secrets behind this forbidding place.

    CONQUER EVERY MISSION
A holographic guide to the simulation, HLN-A, offers a wide array of missions at varying difficulty levels, for you to tackle at your own pace — everything from gunning down waves of enemies with the aid of power-ups, escorting vulnerable baby creatures to their parents, tracking and hunting down powerful bosses, competing in Dino Races, even playing a round of Dodo-Basketball, and much more. The simulation itself isn’t perfect, so you can earn extra credit (and experience) by fixing the glitches scattered all throughout the world. Completing missions earns you Hexagons, which you can spend for extra resources, TEK items, travel between environments, and more.

    EXPLORE LETHAL LANDSCAPES
ARK: Genesis features beautiful biomes ripe for exploration — but they all want you dead. The simulator tests your mettle across fetid alien bogs, deep undersea trenches, frigid mountain peaks, dangerous volcanic hellscapes… and even the wild low-gravity surface of an alien moon. Conquering each area requires preparation, smarts, and the ability to improvise so that when a volcano rains fire from the sky, an avalanche buries you, or a whirlpool pulls you into the briny deep, you’re ready to meet the challenge!

    HUNT AND TAME NEW CREATURES
The environments may be dangerous, but they’re nothing compared to the new creatures who call ARK: Genesis home: web-spinning spiderlike beasts, cute-but-deadly shapeshifters, sea turtles the size of islands, and lava lizards that act as living forges. Plus, who doesn’t want to fly around on an immense hyperspace-capable space whale? Master the simulation, and you can test yourself against a mysterious new boss… the likes of which ARK has never seen before.

    GEAR UP AND BUILD UP
As you brave the many dangers of ARK: Genesis, take some time to craft new gear. Wield weapons like combo-capable plasma claws and remote-guided cruise missiles. Make tools from fishing nets to mining drills, or new vehicles such as hover-skiffs. Build interactive structural elements such as pressure plates, alarm systems, jump pads, ocean platforms and more. Whether you’re a go-it-alone survivalist, a weapon-making warmonger, or a base-building architect, this expansion has a crafting project suited for you.

    WILL YOU PASS THE TEST?
ARK: Genesis takes your story in an all-new direction — and your skill determines your success. Everything is turned up to the highest setting: the challenges, the dangers…and the vast rewards. Only the toughest and smartest survivors will pass all of the simulation’s many tests. Will you be one of them?

  • New Smite Goddess: Mulan Ascends to the Battleground of the Gods

Mulan, the Ascendant Warrior, becomes immortal in the new Smite update, available now on Xbox One! Marking a first for Smite, Mulan is not a Goddess, or even a mythical figure like Arthur or Merlin – she is our first playable character based in history, inspired by a real historical figure who has been deified to an immortal within the Smite story.

Hua Mulan is a well known legendary figure who heroically took her father’s place in the army of China. Disguising herself as a man, she worked relentlessly to rise through the ranks, maintaining this pretense for 12 years. She fought well against the enemies of China, attaining rank and the loyalty of her fellow soldiers by fearlessly leading them into the thickest frays of battle. At the end of twelve years of service, she was offered a high rank, but turned it down in favor of returning home to her family.

    Smite - Mulan

Her duty complete, Mulan returned home to live out her days with the family whose land and lives she protected so valiantly in the army. But that was not the end of the end of her story… or her fight. For now, a new danger threatens her land, and Hua Mulan must once more take up her weapons in defense of her home.

Mulan’s inherent skill as a fighter was honed with over a decade of intense training and battlefield experience. Not content to master a single weapon in her army’s arsenal, she would go on to perfect her skill with the sword, spear, and longbow. In Smite, Mulan wields all three of these weapons in combat to deadly effect, allowing her to strike her enemies at multiple ranges. Each match with Mulan will effectively retrace her journey to becoming a legend, as using her weapons will allow her to Master them, unlocking improved stats and additional effects for her weapons in the process. All of these weapons combine in her appropriately named Divine Mastery ultimate ability, wherein she uses all three weapons in quick succession to deal truly devastating damage to her opponents!

    Smite - Mulan

As always, there’s a ton more great content in this new update like the new Iron Conqueror Hera skin in the Jade Corruption Event, and the community requested Dunk-Father Odin skin in the all-new esports and Live Hub. You can even get Dunk-Father Odin for free, just by watching Smite Pro League matches and picking the winners with our new in-game match voting!

Thanks for checking out what’s new in our

    do!
