Boiling piss.
I really do get it, y’know? No, not Death Stranding’s storyline – I’m as confuddled as the rest of you by its pseudo-philosophical mumbo-jumbo. I’m talking about the scepticism. You’re bored of Hideo Kojima being, well, Hideo Kojima, and you want the auteur to be put back on a leash. Maybe not a Konami-branded leash, but a leash all the same.
No, look, I do understand the concerns because deep-down I’m beginning to question whether the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive is going to be for me as well. It appears to be some kind of courier simulation, where you’re delivering packages like a backpacked Postman Pat who just so happens to have a small child strapped to his chest.

Lombax to the future.
After the PlayStation 4’s surprisingly successful re-imagining of the first Ratchet & Clank game, many had hoped that the franchise would have been revisited by now. Fortunately, following Sony’s acquisition of Insomniac Games, there is hope, as Worldwide Studios boss Shawn Layden has told The Hollywood Reporter that the iconic platforming duo factor into its future plans.
“We like what they’ve been doing in the Spider-Man franchise and things like Ratchet & Clank are certainly vital series in the present and future,” he said. “That’s what we’re concentrating on.”

Grand Theft Auto V Online is serving up some major rewards as part of the Diamond Program this week, but you need to log in by August 21 to claim them.
The recently opened Diamond Casino and Resort in GTA V’s online mode is offering up a slew of rewards as part of The Diamond Program, which could net you up to GTA$400,000 just for logging on if you’ve reached Diamond status. Even if you haven’t, though, even Silver Status players – anyone with a Penthouse – will get a huge reward.
Silver Status players who log in will be awarded GTA$250,000, without needing to do anything further. It’s free money, so make sure you claim it. If you’ve earned Gold Status – which means completing the second Casino Story Mission for Mr Cheng, ‘House Keeping’ – you’ll get a further GTA$50,000, as well as a new Royals Tattoo option. These rewards stack, by the way, so the higher you go, the more you’ll get.
Platinum status players – who have earned that rank by completing five Casino Work missions after reaching Gold Status – will get a further GTA$50,000, plus a Benny’s Original Motor Works poster to stick up on the walls of their penthouse. And if you’ve made it all the way to Diamond status by both hitting Platinum and then completing all Casino Story missions, you’ll get GTA$50,000 more, as well as an exclusive Red Diamond Tee to wear. If you’ve already met these prerequisites, you can nab all of this right away – just make sure you do it before August 21. All of these rewards will be granted by August 28 at the latest.
GTA V Online has also added a new car at Legendary Motorsport: the Progen Emerus. It’s fast and sleek, and it’s just one of many new toys and modes that has been added. RC Time Trials have also been added to the game, letting you race the RC Bandito as fast as you can. Right now the completion bonus on these missions has been doubled to GTA$200,000, so they’re a good way to earn some cash.
Rewards have also been douvled on the Arena War series until August 21, and the Lucky Wheel inside the casino currently offers up the Dinka Jester Classic car as a potential prize. The Casino Store has also been updated with a variety of items. On top of all of this, there’s currently a 30% discount on a variety of items available across the game:
Again, make sure that you act quickly and log in before August 21 to get your hands on all of these benefits.

Update: And Trophies hit Sony’s servers.
Update: We can be fairly certain that Erica will be at Gamescom 2019 in some capacity, but there’s also a chance you may be playing it sooner than you think. The title’s Trophies have just hit Sony’s servers, and along with the previously leaked rating in Australia, there’s a possibility this may shadow drop during the show itself. If not, then we can’t imagine it’ll be far away.
If you were paying attention just prior to E3 2019, you may have noticed that a ludicrous amount of announcements and reveals were leaked early by one particular person. Known as Sabi on Twitter, she tweeted out a number of titles that would be cropping up at the event, and lo and behold, pretty much everything she said would happen did indeed come to fruition.

Sniper Ghost Warrior will return in November, with the latest game in the series taking place across five regions within Siberia.
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts will release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on November 22, 2019. The news comes with a trailer, showing off a previously unseen area that you’ll get to explore called Black Gold. The trailer shows off some of the upcoming sequel’s stealthy gameplay, and a handful of new features added for this fourth game in the series.
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts will feature a new ‘Dynamic Reticle’ system, which is designed so that players can better predict how their shot will go. We get a bit of a look at this in the trailer, with a trail indicating the path of the bullet when zoomed in. There are also Scout Drones in Contracts that players will be able to pilot, as well as an Augmented Reality Mask with integrated binoculars for stronger surveillance.
The game’s name comes from its new ‘contracts’ system, whereby you’ll talk to NPCs within each region who will give you your targets. There are 25 main contracts in the game, but there will be plenty of side objectives to complete as well.
The previous game in the series, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3, was criticised for its sparse open world and general lack of sniping. In his 5/10 review, Richard Wakeling said that the game “falters whenever it veers away from its strengths, and the plethora of nagging glitches and technical problems are a persistent nuisance that make Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 difficult to recommend.”
