I’m terrible at stealth games. I lack the patience, the focus, and the discipline to unravel the knot at the center of each level. Don’t get me wrong, I love sneaking around in the shadows. I just don’t like getting caught. And I always get caught. But while some games punish this sort of behavior, kicking the player back to a loading screen whenever they stick a toe out of line, Dishonored isn’t one of them. Unlike many of its contemporaries, Dishonored is as intrigued by its players’ mistakes as their exploits.
It’s time to return this week to Bethesda’s macabre steampunk heaven where the sun is only ever rising or setting and probably no one ever takes a shower. I can’t wait to embark on yet another stealth adventure with all of the best intentions in mind only to abandon my “perfect” play-through the minute something goes wrong.
While the upcoming Power Rangers reboot movie is taking many familiar elements from the TV show, it has also made some big changes. The latest image tweeted from the franchise’s official account is no different–it’s the Megazord, the giant mech created by all five Rangers. The picture itself is of a toy Megazord, and it certainly looks nothing like the classic TV version. Check it out below:
The first trailer for Power Rangers was released in October, and it suggests that the film is going for a more serious tone than the old TV series. The suits didn’t really make much of an appearance in this first teaser, but Elizabeth Banks’ evil Rita Repulsa was featured heavily.
Power Rangers opens in theaters on March 24, 2017, directed by Dean Israelite. It stars Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Becky G, Ludi Lin, and Bryan Cranston.
Power Rangers first appeared on screens in 1993’s Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers. The show mixed new American scenes with footage taken from the Japanese show Super Sentai. To date there have been 23 TV series and two earlier movies.
Sombra, the new character for Overwatch, was officially unveiled by Blizzard yesterday at Blizzcon 2016, but the cosplay has already started. To be fair, the Sombra cosplay below was officially commissioned by Blizzard (much like they did with Tracer and Widowmaker when Overwatch was first unveiled), but you’re sure to see a lot more of the game’s purple-clad hacker at upcoming conventions.
The official cosplay is donned by Soni Aralynn (check out here Instragram account here), and it was designed by the costume design team at Henchmen props.

“By venturing beyond Earth–and not just to other planets, but to space itself–Call of Duty found a canvas to produce its best story in years. It reinforces the notion that a game’s narrative is only as good as its characters. Given the campaign’s accomplishments in space combat, it’s puzzling that no effort was made to replicate its zero-G sensations in Infinite Warfare’s multiplayer. Consequently, the well-crafted Zombies mode is a more attractive, time-consuming proposition for those looking to play with friends. While no Call of Duty game has matched the comprehensive excellence of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the exploits of Reyes and Ethan are at least as memorable and moving as any deeds from “Soap” MacTavish and John Price during from the series’ heyday.” Miguel Concepcion [full review]

GameSpot Studios: Reclaiming Call of Duty
In this two-part series about Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, we talk with Infinity Ward about its reconstruction, what makes a Call of Duty game, and their new approach to single-player. Watch the first part in the video below and then view the second part where we discusses with Infinity Ward its attempt to set itself apart from other Call of Duty studios.
For the video series, we conducted many more hours of behind-the-scenes interviews, which you can check out in full below:
Three studios develop Call of Duty titles. Two years ago, it was Sledgehammer Games with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. In 2015, it was Treyarch with Black Ops III. And now, with the release of Infinite Warfare, it’s Infinity Ward’s turn again.
The studio established the series in 2003 with the original Call of Duty, and modernized the franchise with Modern Warfare in 2007. But in recent years, Infinity Ward has taken somewhat of a tertiary role in the three-studio development cycle.
In the documentary series below, as well as the numerous interviews we conducted during our time at Infinity Ward in Los Angeles, GameSpot explores the reconstruction of the studio in the years following Call of Duty: Ghosts, along with the top-tier talent involved in Infinite Warfare. We also explore the game’s World War II roots, and the difficulty of creating a campaign that caters to the Call of Duty faithful, but also breaks the mold. Call of Duty is one of the most ubiquitous franchises in games–in this feature series, we explore the story behind it.
For a more in-depth look at the game itself, you can read our Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare review right here. For a deeper look at behind-the-scenes development, continue below.
A look behind the scenes at Infinity Ward, the studio that began Call of Duty in 2003, modernized it in 2007, and hopes to move out front of the pack again with Infinite Warfare in 2016.
Part 2: A New Story for a New Year
We go in-depth with Infinite Warfare’s narrative team on how the shooter’s campaign will set it apart from the numerous Call of Duty titles that have come before it.
For Frank Gibeau, the former EA Studios executive who is now Zynga’s CEO, the smartphone market is more alluring than the console and PC space.
Speaking to GamesBeat after its newest earnings release, Gibeau–who more recently ran EA’s mobile unit before joining Zynga–talked about why he’s going all-in on mobile. “I used to work on console and PC, and I’ll never go back,” he said. “I love the mobile business. The audiences you can reach, the geographic distribution–you have huge markets in Asia and emerging markets.”
Zynga’s latest earnings numbers were ahead of expectations, but the company still took a $41 million loss, according to GI.biz.
Also in the interview, Gibeau said he sees a time in the future where the top of the smartphone charts don’t always look the same. “When people say the charts are never going to change, I don’t agree,” he said. “It’s a dynamic time in mobile. There’s a lot of consolidation happening, a lot of new products coming, new ways to engage customers, whether it’s subscription or AR or VR. It’s exciting.”
“I love where our company is positioned. Our focus on mass-market social is far from its full potential,” he added. “When I look at what Zynga’s capable of and how that vision is more relevant now than it’s ever been in the company’s history, I’m excited about where we’re at as a company and as a market.”
“Mark founded Zynga with the simple premise that it’s more fun to play games with other people and that social gaming was a path to the mass market. I felt the power of this idea as a competitor and was inspired by how Zynga reached unexpected new audiences and opened up brand-new gaming platforms,” Gibeau said when he was appointed CEO.
