“If you’re being honest, and vulnerable, and real, everyone can relate to that…” A24 has revealed a new featurette for Mike Mills’ latest film, 20th Century Women, which recently premiered at the New York Film Festival last month. The featurette focuses on the various characters, or rather, the incredible women at the center of this fantastic film. The ensemble cast includes Annette Bening in the lead as the mother, with Elle Fanning, Alia Shawkat, Laura Wiggins, Billy Crudup, Greta Gerwig, John Billingsley and Waleed Zuaiter. It tells the story of a single mother raising her children in the late 1970s, and how different and unique and free they all are. Even though we’ve already featured two great trailers for this, I’m happy to bring more attention to this film in hopes that more people seek it out. Opening on Christmas Day. ›››

“I feel very excited as of late for what’s to come, whether it works or not.” I can’t say enough how much I adore Damien Chazelle’s musical La La Land. It’s an exhilarating cinematic experience, full of so much joy and happiness, along with superb dancing and exuberant singing and beautiful sets and gorgeous sunsets. Aside from Ryan Gosling, the other co-star of La La Land is Emma Stone. Her first big break out role was playing Jules in Superbad back in 2007, and over the nearly 10 years since she’s earned an Academy Award nomination (for Birdman) and worked with some of the best filmmakers around. I was lucky to spend 15 minutes chatting with Emma about her career and her work on La La Land and it was an absolute delight. ›››

“There’s no limit to how far they can spread…” Netflix has unveiled an official trailer for the sci-fi action-thriller titled Spectral, described as “Ghostbusters meets Black Hawk Down.” The plot is about a scientist who joins a Delta Forces unit that goes into a European city to investigate “mysterious phantom aggressors code-named Spectral”. The cast includes Max Martini, Clayne Crawford, James Badge Dale, Emily Mortimer and Bruce Greenwood. To top it off, this film has a score by Junkie XL, weapons made by Weta Workshop, and VFX by Weta Digital. It seems odd that this is being dumped straight to Netflix, but even better because it means we all get to see it starting next week. This looks cool, I want to check it out. ›››

“This party has to rock!” Paramount has unleashed another new trailer for Office Christmas Party, the third official trailer for his all-out holiday party movie set to end the year with a bang. With a week until this is in theaters, Paramount is giving it one last push to get the attention of tired white collar workers waiting for their own holiday party to unwind. T.J. Miller is the main instigator, with an ensemble cast including Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, Vanessa Bayer, Jillian Bell, Jamie Chung, Rob Corddry, Abbey Lee, Kate McKinnon, Olivia Munn, Karan Soni and Matt Walsh. Honestly, these new trailers seem to be getting worse and worse, with the humor stooping lower each time. Just not my kind of comedy. ›››

“One day, this will all feel like a dream. I promise…” Now that we’re into the final month of 2016, it’s time to start looking back at the year in movies. The next year end recap movie trailer mashup has arrived – this one made by Clark Zhu. It’s titled “Moving Pictures 2016” and includes clips from over 260 movies that were released in 2016. Since he packs in so many, the video runs a good seven minutes but covers a number of different themes – from comedy to suspense to action to horror to love and pretty much everything else. It’s a great reminder that there’s some stellar movies this year, and to catch up with those you haven’t seen. ›››

More than a year after its release in October 2015, Microsoft’s Halo 5: Guardians continues to receive new DLC. In 343’s latest weekly blog post, the developer said the game’s next wave of add-on content is coming out very soon, saying its launch is “imminent.” We already knew it would include more Warzone maps and Forge canvases, but now we know some of what else it will have.
One part of the DLC that sounds really cool is the “Voices of War” Req pack, which adds three new multiplayer announcers to the game for Warzone, Warzone Firefight, and Arena. The announcers include Spartan Buck, Yabda the Merciless, and 031 Exuberant Witness. Actor Nathan Fillion voices Buck in the Halo games, so we sure hope he’s been enlisted for the DLC.
Unlike the rest of the new Halo 5 DLC, the Voices of War Req pack is not free; it costs $10, which gets you all three announcers. 343 didn’t say if announcers will be sold individually. And of course, this add-on is entirely optional and doesn’t change the gameplay.
You can listen to clips from the three announcers through the links below.
In terms of free content, Halo 5’s next update adds “new features, a massive expansion to Forge, and of course many sweet Reqs.” Some of this content was teased in a trailer released in November.
One of the new Reqs is the Reach Grenade Launcher; here’s what it looks like:

Finally, 343 teased that the new Halo 5 DLC for Xbox One and PC will be released “in a matter of days,” suggesting the content will arrive this coming week. Specifically, 343 said to expect the first reveal for the new DLC to take place this coming Tuesday, December 6.
In other Halo 5 news, a Super Fiesta playlists has been added to the multiplayer hopper.
Are you going to jump back into Halo 5 to try out the new DLC when it’s released? Let us know in the comments below!
