Igor Artyomenko is a freelance artist from Kazakhstan. We actually featured his DOTA 2 fan art a few months back, but I figured his art is so cool it deserved a proper showcase.

I’m loving the attention to detail here. Not just on the costume itself, but the expression, the hair. He’s even gone to the trouble of meticulously arranging the tuck.

The folks behind the world’s longest Hearthstone turn —the 45 hour one—are at it again. This time, they’re going for two ridiculous records at once.

Far off in the mountains, the small village Aslarga becomes a hub for adventurers looking for fame and fortune from the Mystery Dungeons. But dire challenges await even the most stalwart adventurers in Etrian Mystery Dungeon , a turn-based action RPG roguelike developed by ATLUS and Spike Chunsoft. The Nintendo 3DS exclusive mixes Etrian Odyssey’s vast RPG party and skill customization aspects, and Mystery Dungeon’s infinitely random dungeon adventures. There’s no hand-holding in Etrian Mystery Dungeon . The action/turn based combat means that battling monsters is not just about using the right skills, but becomes an elegant Pas de Quatre of strategic positioning. Players form their parties with familiar Etrian Odyssey classes, such as Landsknecht and Runemaster, customize individuals using Etrian-style skill trees, and then take up to four members into the dungeons. Always randomized with various levels and paths, the dungeons require plenty of exploration, not to mention the incredible loot rewards — just be wary of what waits among the deepest depths.

Even if you didn’t particularly like Interstellar, you can’t deny that the artificially intelligent astronaut helper TARS was one of the coolest robots we’ve seen on the big screen in recent memory. Obviously having a robot like that of our own isn’t all the viable of a prospect right now, but it would be nice if Warner Bros. commissioned an action figure of TARS for us to put on our shelves. However, one man decided that he didn’t just want a TARS of his own but he wanted to become TARS. So he created this functional costume that allows him to walk around like the boxy robot did in Interstellar, and the result is pretty astounding. ›››

If you’ve seen 22 Jump Street, then you already know that the end credits sequence from the action comedy starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill is one of the best ever. Why? Because it runs the gamut of a whole bunch of sequels to follow, taking Schmidt and Jenko to every possible kind of school you can imagine. Of course, the joke was tainted a bit when Sony Pictures began real development on 23 Jump Street. But the dynamic filmmaking duo of Phil Lord & Chris Miller (who also have the TV series “Last Man on Earth” on Fox now) have figured out a way to make all those sequels canon in the film franchise. ›››

Even though we’re probably not going to see a sequel to the American adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, that doesn’t mean we won’t be seeing plenty of Rooney Mara. The actress stars in this summer’s classic fairytale adaptation Pan, and now THR reports the actress has joined the cast of an Indian survival drama called Lion, which has already been picked up for distribution by The Weinstein Company. The film has Nicole Kidman and Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire) on board, and justadded The Two Towers star David Wenham with production recently finishing in India and moving to Australia soon. ›››

Since leaving the Transformers franchise, Shia La Beouf has made some interesting choices. No, we’re not talking about his tabloid headline making behavior (although that is somewhat concerning), but rather the kind of films he’s been making. His projects have ranged from the prohibition era thriller Lawless to the stylish Charlie Countryman, not to mention a revealing role in Nymphomaniac and the war drama Fury, and, of course, a peculiar turn in Sia’s music video for “Elastic Heart.” Now LaBeouf is looking to work with Fish Tank director Andrea Arnold for her first film in the US, appropriately called American Honey. ›››
