Are there kids out there who think the real world actually works like Minecraft? Geoscience Australia, a department of the federal government, seems to think so.

“You ain’t seen nothin’ yet!” Disney has unveiled the third trailer for Brad Bird’s Tomorrowland, starring Britt Robertson and George Clooney. This original sci-fi adventure introduces us to the other world behind Disney, Tomorrowland. The plot involves Casey Newton (Robertson) finding a mysterious magical pin and getting sucked into this adventure. We’ve seen plenty of glimpses already, Disney is showing footage at Disneyland, and this new trailer doesn’t have anything new (that we haven’t seen elsewhere) other than a few more finished VFX shots. I’m still incredibly excited for this (the weapons looks so cool!), but I want to see a bit more than we already have. In time… For now, enjoy this new trailer and featurette to go with it. ›››

Briefly: Perhaps it’s the already crowded summer that was weighing heavily on Warner Bros. Pictures, but whatever the reason, the studio has decided to push back the release of their fantasy adaptation Pan from director Joe Wright. Originally slated for release this July, the film will now arrive on October 9th this fall. THR has a statement from Wright saying, “As you might expect, the fantastical story of Peter Pan involves very complex effects and I did not want to compromise on quality in finishing the film. This allows me and my team the time to complete the movie and tell the story the way it should be told.” Pehaps the Hugh Jackman film just wasn’t getting the kind of big buzz they wanted for a summer blockbuster. ›››

After playing father and son in Crazy Stupid Love, last year’s Oscar-nominated stars Steve Carell and Emma Stone will face each other on the tennis court. You may remember that over a year ago, we learned Danny Boyle and Simon Beaufoy, the director and writer behind Slumdog Millionaire and 127 Hours, were developing a film about the famous Battle of the Sexes tennis match between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs in 1973. Now Deadline reports Fox Searchlight is behind the film to be produced by Boyle, but directed by Jonathan Dayton & Valerie Faris, directors of Ruby Sparks and Little Miss Sunshine. ›››

Briefly: Even though the sequel Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials doesn’t arrive until this fall, that’s not stopping 20th Century Fox from setting a release date for the third and final chapter in the young adult sci-fi trilogy. ERC Box Office reports the studio has just set Maze Runner: The Death Cure for release on February 17th, 2017, which is a departure from the fall release window of the previous two films. And the good news, for fans who don’t like their final chapter cut up like Harry Potter, The Twilight Saga and The Hunger Games before this, The Death Cure will not be split in two. Since the second film hasn’t been released yet, we don’t want to say what the third will be about, but you can find out if you really want to. ›››

Briefly: Last fall, Warner Bros. Pictures jostled around the dates for The LEGO Movie Sequel as well as the spin-offs Ninjago and LEGO Batman, but now they’ve been shaken up yet again. The biggest change is that Ninjago has been pushed back a year to a September 22nd, 2017 release date. Meanwhile, LEGO Batman has been moved up to February 10th 2017, a few months earlier than the previous May release date, and The LEGO Movie Sequel has been bumped up by a week to a May 18th, 2018 release. That means we’ll be waiting awhile before we get more LEGO action on the big screen but hopefully it’ll be worth it. ›››

Video game retailer GameStop has announced a new charitable effort to support the Ronald McDonald Houses, a charity run by the fast food giant McDonald’s.
As part of the campaign, GameStop and Sony Computer Entertainment America have teamed up to donate PlayStation 4 bundles to all 180 Ronald McDonald Houses in the United States.

The donated PS4 bundles will come with a new system, an extra DualShock 4 controller, and the following games: LittleBigPlanet 3, Driveclub, and MLB 15: The Show.
GameStop’s partnership with Ronald McDonald Houses is nothing new. The retailer has been a partner to the charity for more than six years now. In 2013, GameStop reported that its store associates volunteered at 21 different Ronald McDonald Houses across the country.
Ronald McDonald Houses are designed to be a “home-away-from-home” for families who must travel to a faraway hospital or care center as their child gets treatment. McDonald’s says sick children are more likely to cope better with the stress of their illness if their family is close by during their hospitalization.
“When families come to a Ronald McDonald House, they are going through an extremely difficult, trying period,” Sony director of sales Chip McTighe said in a statement. “Our hope is by teaming up with GameStop we can help add some fun to the homes and bring excitement and laughter to families when they need it most.”
People can sign up to stay in a Ronald McDonald House for “little or no cost,” and there are local chapters across the country–and throughout the world.
Ronald McDonald Houses is not the only charity GameStop works with, as the company also has partnerships with Gamer Fund (which GameStop operates), St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, and Make-A-Wish.

The Xbox One version of Yacht Club Games’ 2D side-scrolling platformer Shovel Knight will be released sometime next week, Microsoft has announced. Xbox boss Phil Spencer said on Twitter that he was recently informed that the game had passed certification, while Microsoft’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb revealed the game’s target release window in his own tweet, saying the game is due the week of April 27.

Microsoft typically refreshes the Xbox Store on Wednesdays, which would mean Shovel Knight should arrive on April 29.
Shovel Knight was originally released in 2014 for PC, Nintendo 3DS, and Wii U. The PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita versions are scheduled to arrive Tuesday, April 21.
At the 2015 Game Developers Conference in March, Microsoft revealed that Battletoads content is coming to Shovel Knight through a future update to the platforming game. You can watch a teaser trailer for the content below.
The PlayStation versions of Shovel Knight are getting special content, too, as God of War’s Kratos will make an appearance on Sony consoles.
