The Journey of Fighting Game My Hero One’s Justice

Hello everyone! Allow me to take this opportunity to share my thoughts on and how excited I am about My Hero One’s Justice. First of all, to work on a game based on possibly one of the world’s biggest anime in recent memory. I am tremendously honored to be given the opportunity and the pressure that comes along with it. To be honest, even though the development is basically finished (and the game is already out in Japan), we still feel that pressure—the pressure to provide the ultimate My Hero experience. However, with our team’s motivation and the hard work that we put into this game, I am especially looking forward to fans all over the world enjoying it—as much as the players have already here in Japan.

The series has always been dear to my heart ever since its first appearance in the Weekly Shonen JUMP magazine. I was very fascinated with how they portray the characters—whether focusing on the heroes or the villains. On top of that, as soon as I was drawn into the series, I was moved with how the story is full of passion and evolves over time. I realized that I also want other people to experience the same excitement and emotional attachment that I have towards this work—but this time through a game format. My team and I want people to dive into the world of the hit anime series, see the world in the shoes of both heroes and villains, and fight for the justice of whichever side you choose.

    My Hero One’s Justice

    My Hero One’s Justice

And that’s when we, fortunately, ran into Byking, a developer that is impeccable in creating battle action games. With this opportunity, I was sure that we would realize the vision that me and my team had on creating this game, thus we immediately started the development from the get-go.

For those who know, the game is built off a one-of-a-kind series, filled with unique qualities all over the place. To make it true to the series, it’s important for the game to stay true to the original works. The aspect that we are particularly being careful of is the representation of the characters’ quirks in battles. We are doing our best to implement all the quirks along with necessary backstory, so the users can experience its uniqueness using their own hands. In every attempt of the quirk implementation, we then always try to simulate them in battles. After seeing the outcome, we start to balance both the quirks’ effect and its’ visualization.

    My Hero One’s Justice

    My Hero One’s Justice

Let’s take Toga for example. Her quirk enables her to transform herself into her opponent. However, if we make her also be able to copy the opponent’s quirk/special move, it would disrupt the balance of the game. So, what we did was make the transformation have a deceiving function—turning the opponent’s sidekicks on their own teammate. Since that element of her quirk was also portrayed in the original works, when I played the game using Toga, I really felt the distinctiveness of her one-of-a-kind quirk!

This also occurs to other characters, as we realized after the balancing that each character’s quirk became prominent in the game. Once you’re able to master all characters, you will notice the details that we concentrated on when creating this game. Hopefully, we created various types of excitement that users can enjoy.

    My Hero One’s Justice

    My Hero One’s Justice

In terms of story, it’s not all about the heroes. It’s also about the villains. Therefore, for the fans to know what it’s like to be the bad guy in the series, we also provided the “Villain Side” in the story mode of the game. We hope with this inclusion players can grasp the whole experience from both sides.

To wrap it up, My Hero One’s Justice is a game that we believe fans will enjoy. You can see the growth of Deku, Shigaraki, and other characters—and most importantly feel the ultimate battle of quirks, only available in this game. For those who are unfamiliar with the series, this game could also be a good start for you to get to know what this work provides—while enjoying crazy battles along the way.

I am really looking forward to fans all over the world playing this game, and I will be waiting for you and your quirks so that we can have a showdown in the game’s online mode! Let’s meet up online and remember – fight for justice!

Mixer Builds Custom Golf Carts for Post Malone to Game and Stream at Posty Fest

Mixer is teaming up with multi-platinum recording artist Post Malone, to give him and fans the ultimate festival experience, Posty-style, at his inaugural music festival, Posty Fest. We’ll be serving looks in customized golf carts that are tricked out from top to bottom with Post Malone in mind.

The custom designed Mixer HypeCart, comes equipped with a 40-inch HD screen TV, a custom Posty Fest Xbox One X console, 13-inch, one hundred spoke rims, and will be a fully-operational livestreaming machine to give you an inside look at the festival as Post Malone streams live behind-the-scenes from the carts the day before the festival on Saturday, October 27 starting at 2 p.m. PDT.

Tune in to the Mixer Post Malone Channel and see Post Malone answer fan questions, drive around the venue for an exclusive sneak peek of the festival, and for a chance to win a customized Posty Fest Xbox One X console. Post Malone will also be playing the latest games available on Xbox Game Pass, so be sure to tune in to see if Post Malone games as well as he performs!

But that’s not all. It wouldn’t be a Post Malone golf cart if it didn’t have a cooler for his beverages as well as three cameras so fans won’t miss a second of all the good Posty vibes.

Oh and, we didn’t stop with just one. We’ve created two of these monster machines. A second green, Xbox-themed golf cart is ready to take on the scene. Both the Mixer and Xbox golf carts will be at future events as well so be on the lookout for them!

All of this is part of Mixer’s collaboration with Posty Fest, taking place in Dallas, Texas on Sunday, October 28.

Don’t miss the pre-Posty Fest livestream with Post Malone on the Mixer Post Malone Channel on Saturday, October 27 starting at 2 p.m. PDT.

  • New Preview Beta Ring 1811 Update – 10/25/18

Starting at 6:00 p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview Beta Ring will begin receiving a new 1811 Xbox One system update (181021-1520). Read on for more about the new features, fixes and known issues in the latest 1811 system update.

    New Features:

    Family Settings

    • Children signing up for new accounts will now be asked to add a parent only if required to by local privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR or COPPA). This means that some minors, like teens in the U.S., will no longer have to add a parent and join a Microsoft family during signup. Xbox privacy and online safety defaults will still be applied based on age, and in order to change those, the minor would need to add a parent on Xbox who can then change their settings. Minors not in a family can add a parent anytime in Settings > Account > Family settings > Add a parent. Joining a family would also allow the parent and child to use other family features like content restrictions, screen time, activity reporting, and spending.
    • Children that are subject to local privacy regulations will still be required to add a parent during signup. While this will create a Microsoft family through which the parent can use family features like content restrictions, screen time, activity reporting, and spending, the parent will no longer be required to sign in on Xbox. If a parent wants to change their child’s Xbox privacy and online safety settings, the parent can sign in separately on Xbox and manage their family in Settings > Account > Family settings.
    • Existing child accounts are not affected by this change and will remain with their parents in their current Microsoft family.

     Mouse & Keyboard Support

    • We have enabled mouse support in the build.  Please check out the Quest in the Xbox Insider Hub to experience mouse and keyboard support in Warframe.

     Search Enhancements

    • The search function has been enhanced across the console and will now return responses from the Xbox Assist application for example to help with help, support and troubleshooting.  Please check out the Quest in the Xbox Insider Hub to help us gather feedback.

    Fixes:

    Audio

    • We made a change to the workload scheduling of Mixer and Audio to reduce audio glitching issues. Let us know if there are any regressions in Game DVR or Mixer audio.

     My Games and Apps

    • We have fixed the issue in which game and app updates were not automatically downloading and installing.

     Notifications

    • We have fixed an issue with users being prompted and spammed by a “Welcome to Game Pass” notification.

     Power

    • We have fixed issues in which the console is fully powering off when it is placed into Instant On mode.

     System

    • Addressed the system Out of Box Experience to set the features of Dolby Vision, Variable Refresh rate and low latency modes when enabling 4k mode.
    • Stability fixes in this build.

    Known Issues:

    Avatars

    • It can take up to 10 seconds to view an Avatar on the profile screen after creating a new Avatar.

     Profile Color

    • Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

A Beginner’s Guide to The Long Journey Home on Xbox One

Hey Xbox community, I’m really excited that we’re finally able to bring The Long Journey Home to Xbox One and I can’t wait to hear your feedback.

In The Long Journey Home, a misfit crew finds itself stranded in space after mankind’s first experimental jump drive goes wrong. At the wrong side of the universe you’re alone, injured and your spaceship is falling apart. The only way back home is through the universe.

    The Long Journey Home Screenshot

However, I’d like to give you some advice for your journey and don’t want to leave you totally alone. The Long Journey Home is a narrative-heavy rogue-style game where each universe is based on a random seed. Only some of the game’s content is available in each run like four out of the eight major alien races. The quests that you find and are offered can also vary with each run, depending on which crew members you have with you, luck, or how you interact with the different aliens.

This is also a goal built heavily around replay. Unlike most rogue games, you don’t gain power between runs. Instead, you gain knowledge – how the alien races think and are best dealt with, how to turn around negative situations, and where to find quests and opportunities. Sometimes, aliens will approach you for favors or will hunt you for your life.

    The Long Journey Home Screenshot

    The Long Journey Home Screenshot

However, to survive and thrive at the other end of the galaxy, you’ll need to be proactive. Explore ruins for technologies. Figure out how to flatter and bribe cultures into helping you. Ask for work and follow up on gossip. The more you learn, the better are your chances of making it home.

A successful run currently takes about 5-6 hours real-time, though you’re unlikely to get that far the first time through and there’s plenty more to see and do even after that! Try different seeds, crews, and approaches if you’re having difficulties. There’s always a way to progress, even in the worst of situations…

    The Long Journey Home Screenshot

    The Long Journey Home Screenshot

In addition, keep in mind that The Long Journey Home is a challenging game and on your attempt to get home you’ll fail multiple times! You have to adapt to friendly and hostile aliens as well as different planets’ geographies. Be sure to check every planet’s details before attempting to land and getting your hands on valuable resources, as some are dangerous and you’ll take damage simply by being there, while others have high wind, gravity, and temperatures that make piloting extra dangerous.

You might guess that The Long Journey Home is a huge game and there is plenty of things to do and see that I didn’t even have the chance to discuss with you. However, I hope that you got a good image of the complexity The Long Journey Home has to offer and that you’ll have a blast exploring and returning to.

Xbox, in partnership with Bethesda and Hypemaker, the creative agency of Hypebeast, are teaming up to launch #HelmetsForHabitat: a charitable initiative to auction off a host of one-of-a-kind custom Fallout 76 power armor helmets.  40 renowned artists from across the globe will adorn the iconic T51 power armor helmet in their signature style and starting today, fans can visit the official auction site at Paddle8  to check out and bid on the full selection of customized helmets.

All proceeds from the final auction sale of each helmet will benefit Habitat for Humanity, a global nonprofit working in local communities across all 50 states in the U.S. and in more than 70 countries, to advance the vision that everyone deserves a decent place to call home.

Bethesda has supported Habitat for Humanity previously with the donation of proceeds from sale of the “Take Me Home Country Roads” cover as heard in the official Fallout 76 announcement trailer that debuted during the Xbox E3 2019 Briefing back in June, in addition to donating sales from the traveling Mement-o-Matic coin pressing machine. Bethesda is committed to donating a minimum of $100,000 to Habitat for Humanity over the course of these charitable initiatives.

For a limited time, fans in the New York City area will have a chance to see the helmets up close and personal prior to the auction end date. From October 25 through November 14, the flagship Microsoft Store on Fifth Avenue will feature a special exhibit on the third floor that showcases a selection of helmets.

Prepare to Die in Zombie Survival RPG Skyhill on Xbox One

Hey, Xbox community! It has been a long ride but I’m excited to announce that Skyhill is out now for Xbox One!

Skyhill is a zombie survival RPG in an apocalyptic setting. However, don’t think that it’s just another survival game! Skyhill mixes RPG, point & click, survival and rogue-like elements in an unusual game experience.

    Skyhill Screenshot

    Skyhill Screenshot

This experience begins with Perry, the main protagonist of the game. He survived World War III because he resided in a penthouse suite during a bio-weapon attack. The destruction didn’t reach to the 100th floor. He also realized that the world began to change for the worse. When he nearly starved to death he went outside of his suite to witness the horror: mutants are lurking in his residing Skyhill hotel that try to rip him to shreds or eat him alive. However, Perry doesn’t have a choice, he has to fight his way through the 100 floors of the hotel to collect supplies and stay alive.

In this apocalyptic setting and desperate time, you have to try to scavenge for supplies and weapons for self-defense. When you come in contact with the mutants you will have to think carefully. In turn-based attacks, you have to choose between different regions of an enemy. However, you have to think strategically before you strike: if your chance is low to hit the monster, the more damage you could deal. So are you aiming for the head with a risk to miss the strike or will you punch the arms and won’t hurt the mutants as much with it?

    Skyhill Screenshot

    Skyhill Screenshot

On your journey to the last floor, you’ll find multiple crafting recipes that I urge you to use. With these recipes and additional supplies, you can upgrade your kitchen for a more nutritious meal. Or you can upgrade the door of your suite to ensure that no mutant will lurk into your room while you’re sleeping. So keep in mind that you should backtrack from time to time to be prepared for the next floors ahead.

I promise you that you’ll die multiple times and if you want to increase the suspense just try out new difficulty modes. But, be aware that the floors of the hotel are randomly generated. This means that every game will be different and you will have to discover everything anew! This is the most challenging but also compelling part of Skyhill. I like the fact that every game is different and you’re rewarded in the end. You can unlock multiple endings and discover the secrets of the former residents of the hotel. After you die, you unlock new perks as well as stat boosts or fancy meals for your next survival attempt.

    Skyhill Screenshot

    Skyhill Screenshot

Skyhill is a challenging game only those with patience and urge to explore will have the most fun with. So, please enjoy your stay in the Skyhill hotel!
