See Fox's Epic Photos of the Most Superheroes on the Hall H Stage

    Comic-Con Hall H 2015

After earning a standing ovation for the Deadpool footage, and having Hugh Jackman give a farewell talk about playing Wolverine for the last time, 20th Century Fox wrapped up their Hall H panel at Comic-Con 2015 with a historic moment. The studio brought out every superhero actor on stage from five major comic book series – ranging from X-Men to Fantastic Four to Deadpool to Gambit to Wolverine – for “the most superheroes together at once” photo. Chris Hardwick, moderator of the panel, attempted to arrange the group together for a selfie (and he got the shot but it’s low quality). That said, it’s still fun to follow-up and take a look at some of the photos that came out of this moment at the end of Comic-Con. Take a look! ›››

Discuss: Does 'Batman v Superman' Fix Some 'Man of Steel' Issues?

    Batman v Superman

After years of speculative buzz, Zack Snyder finally unveiled a complete look at where the future of DC is headed at Comic-Con with an extended trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Technically speaking, this is a sequel to Man of Steel, but Zack is adamant to remind fans that this is the beginning of something new (meaning: Justice League and other DC movies) and not so much a sequel to Superman’s re-imagined origin. That said, it’s clear with some of the footage in the trailer that these two movies connect directly. There’s a shot of Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne (aka Batman) on the ground in Metropolis watching Supes fight Zod as buildings collapse around him. This changes everything about Man of Steel. Or does it? ›››

Watch: Neil Harvey's New Science Fiction Short Film 'Detroit 2029'

    Detroit 2029 Short Film

“I’m finally ready to take you guys back through my footage and begin to tell you what Detroit was really about.” We’re proud to debut the new short film from Australian filmmaker Neil Harvey, the same director who made the fascinating short Robbie, created entirely from NASA footage. His new film is called Detroit, 2029, and it’s a “thoughtlog” from the future also made using some pre-existing footage. The story follows an elite military operator who captures raw footage of an invasion in Detroit of “spectres”, and he gets sort of transferred into one of these “extraterrestrials”. It’s another interesting science fiction creation to watch. ›››

Doom Revealed in One Final Trailer for Josh Trank's 'Fantastic Four'

    Fantastic Four - Final Trailer

“You don’t know anything about what’s coming…” 20th Century Fox has debuted a new trailer, the final trailer, for Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four movie. Yes, it’s the best trailer yet, and finally makes this look like it might be pretty damn good. It also looks quite wild, including traveling to another dimension and massive battles on Earth and elsewhere, flying across space and time. We also finally get a good look at Dr. Doom, the villain, played by Toby Kebbell. The main line-up of the Fantastic Four – Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan & Jamie Bell – seem like a fun team, but I’m hoping the action delivers on all fronts. Only a few more weeks until this is in theaters, so get your last look below. Are you planning to go see this? ›››

Must Watch: David Ayer's 'Suicide Squad' Movie Comic-Con Teaser

    Suicide Squad Teaser Trailer

And here we go… Warner Bros has suddenly released the Comic-Con sizzle reel teaser for David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, after the footage leaked to the internet following its debut in Hall H. The studio released a statement saying: “Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed.” It’s awesome, and I’m glad they’re doing this, but it also sucks that it was leaked. This looks dark and gritty and different than anything we’ve seen, but I am so excited for it. There’s even a glimpse of Batman in this, along with all your favorite villains: Deadshot, Harley Quinn, The Joker, Enchantress, Killer Croc and Rick Flagg. Have at it. ›››

Ten Years of Geeking Out at Comic-Con – Thanks for All the Fish

    Comic-Con

I still can’t believe it. This was my 10th year attending the San Diego Comic-Con. 10 long years. I still remember that first year, back in 2006, finding myself overwhelmed by everything geeky and awesome. At the time we were barely a site, just a few months old, and yet somehow we found a way to get a press badge and sneak in. Not only that, but my main goal was to meet Sam Raimi as I was in love with his Spider-Man series (Spider-Man 2 is still one of my favorites). That year the big reveal was Venom in a never-before-seen tease of Raimi’s Spider-Man 3, and I actually missed the panel because it was full (I couldn’t get into Hall H easily back then either, go figure). But I stood near the doors and watched the footage as they were open (now they have giant curtains blocking the view). Hall H erupted in cheers. That excitement hasn’t changed. ›››

  • Guillermo del Toro Has an Idea for a Jabba the Hutt Gangster Movie

Guillermo del Toro Has an Idea for a Jabba the Hutt Gangster Movie

    Jabba the Hutt

“This Bounty Hunter is my kind of scum, fearless and inventive.” Yes, please! Mexican director Guillermo del Toro made an appearance at Comic-Con last week to promote his new movie Crimson Peak, and conducted a few interviews. During one of his chats with Yahoo, the filmmaker revealed that he’s certainly interested in joining the Star Wars universe, but it’s likely not happening anytime soon. He does, however, still have an idea for a kick ass spin-off solo movie. Or rather, a trilogy of movies. Guillermo told them about an offhand idea he has for a Godfather saga about how Jabba the Hut rose to power on Tatooine. Read on. ›››

    Tom Cruise Airplane Stunt

“Benji! Open the door!” Paramount has debuted a new featurette focusing on the incredible airplane stunt that Tom Cruise did for Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation. We’ve all seen the footage in the trailers, and seen the photos, but this shows you some of the actual raw footage of Cruise himself strapped to the frickin’ airplane while it takes off. Yes, he did this for real. This is a very short featurette that only shows the stunt and the raw footage and that’s it. I mean, I want to see this purely for this stunt, but I’m curious about the rest of the movie, too. Plus it’s cool to see this raw footage now (without waiting for the DVD). Enjoy! ›››

Watch: Kate Winslet in Trailer for Australian Film 'The Dressmaker'

    The Dressmaker Trailer

A film about love, revenge and haute couture. Yes, that is the actual tagline. An official Australian trailer has debuted for Jocelyn Moorhouse’s The Dressmaker, adapted from Rosalie Ham’s novel of the same name, starring Kate Winslet as woman trained in French dressmaking who returns to her grubby middle-of-nowhere hometown in dusty Australia. There she brings new life to the town and, of course, falls for a guy, played by Liam Hemsworth. This looks like an upbeat, fun-for-everyone charmer that will have you smiling more than laughing, but doesn’t look so bad. Featuring Judy Davis, Hugo Weaving, Caroline Goodall, Shane Bourne and Kerry Fox. Only headed to Australian cinemas for now, take a look below. ›››
