SquareEnix has recently launched on iOS and Android a classic RPG adventure that appeared exclusively in Japan upon release. Romancing Saga 2 is a traditional RPG experience that has its roots in Final Fantasy Legend, making this actually the 5th game of the series.

In the start of this series of articles, I hope to raise awareness of the many different places you can find one game in a popular series. My intent is to make it as easy as possible to figure out if you have the right platform for the game you’re looking for. As for how much you’d have to spend for each release of one game, it’s tough for me to say, as it really depends on where you’re looking.

Ninjas are an important part of the history of Japan. In the West they garnered great popularity within film and other forms of entertainment. Whether they were good or bad, there was something about the idea of the ninja that grabbed our attention. So it is no wonder that when they started to make games based on ninjas, they would be just as popular. When people mention ninjas we mainly think of stealth assassins using specialized weapons to complete their missions, though that is not always the case for this list of top five video games featuring ninjas.

The Sega Dreamcast was the first console to come with a modem as standard, and online gaming was a large part of Sega’s plan for world domination back in the late 1990s. As we now know, these plans didn’t really come to fruition as intended, but the Dreamcast paved the way – arguably – for the online console gaming ecosystem we enjoy today. The vast majority of Dreamcast games also came with an option in the main menu to connect to a bespoke, Dreamcast-optimised website that would offer game hints or VMU downloads, and these were among the first things to be shut down when the Dreamcast was cancelled. As they could only be accessed by a Dreamcast browser, the vast majority of these are now lost to internet antiquity…but not Sonic Adventure.
News has surfaced on the Sonic Stadium forum that somebody has restored the original Dreamcast-accessed Sonic Adventure homepage and it is now browsable with any internet-enabled device. The site does indeed appear to be fully explorable and only certain aspects are unavailable (the Dreamcast chat functionality, for example). The reasons behind this effort are unclear, but it is certainly a commendable achievement; and anyone who didn’t get the chance to visit the Sonic Adventure homepage via a Dreamcast the first time around can now do so to their hearts content.

Ralph 4 is a recently released homebrew for the Nintendo Entertainment System. The game was created by Pubby and features music from MovieMovies1. The object of the game is to get from one end of the screen to the other while dodging teddy bears. The levels become more elaborate with each new screen that is conquered. It is a simple concept but is a nice game to pick up and play for a bit.
