  • Activision Clarifies Spyro Reignited Trilogy Download Requirements

Following plenty of speculation about what exactly Spyro Reignited Trilogy’s required downloaded would entail, Activision has offered clear clarification of what does and doesn’t come on the Reignited Trilogy disc.

As first reported by some who visited the Reignited Trilogy developer Toys for Bob, including Achievement Hunter, not all of the second and third games in the trilogy will need to be downloaded for those purchasing the game on disc.

Activision has confirmed to IGN that “The trilogy will ship with content from each of the three games, including the entire first game and a subset of levels from games 2 and 3. In order for the full Reignited Trilogy offerings, a day one update is required.”

  • Disney Prioritizes Black Panther for Oscars, Puts Infinity War in One Category

Disney is famously pushing Black Panther this awards season, officially campaigning the film in 16 separate Oscar categories, while Avengers: Infinity War is only being campaigned in a single category.

According to the Disney Guild Awards 2018 webpage (via IndieWire), Disney is vying for awards from Black Panther, Infinity War, Incredibles II, Ralph Breaks the Internet, Mary Poppins Returns and the animated short Bao. However, it appears Black Panther is being heavily prioritized over its fellow MCU film, as where Black Panther is being positioned for award nominations like Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and more, Infinity War is simply being touted as a Best Visual Effects contender (which Black Panther also has listed).

  • New Preview Alpha Ring 1811 Update – 10/29/18

Starting at 6:00 p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview Alpha Ring will begin receiving a new 1811 Xbox One system update (181026-1939). Read on for more about the fixes and known issues in the latest 1811 system update.

    New Features:

    Family Settings

    • Children signing up for new accounts will now be asked to add a parent only if required to by local privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR or COPPA). This means that some minors, like teens in the U.S., will no longer have to add a parent and join a Microsoft family during signup. Xbox privacy and online safety defaults will still be applied based on age, and in order to change those, the minor would need to add a parent on Xbox who can then change their settings. Minors not in a family can add a parent anytime in Settings > Account > Family settings > Add a parent. Joining a family would also allow the parent and child to use other family features like content restrictions, screen time, activity reporting, and spending.
    • Children that are subject to local privacy regulations will still be required to add a parent during signup. While this will create a Microsoft family through which the parent can use family features like content restrictions, screen time, activity reporting, and spending, the parent will no longer be required to sign in on Xbox. If a parent wants to change their child’s Xbox privacy and online safety settings, the parent can sign in separately on Xbox and manage their family in Settings > Account > Family settings.
    • Existing child accounts are not affected by this change and will remain with their parents in their current Microsoft family.
