Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s Special Edition And Pre-Order Bonuses Detailed

Along with a look at how Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order plays, EA today unveiled what sorts of bonuses fans can expect from its special edition, as well as if they pre-order.

Pre-ordering will get you four digital cosmetic items: Three skins for Cal’s lightsaber, and the “Bee-D-1” skin for BD-1. The special edition will run you an extra $10 and include crimson BD-1 and mantis skins, a digital art book, and a collection of “director’s cut” behind-the-scenes feature videos. Here’s an image breaking down these bonuses.

It’s not the most ambitious set of bonuses out there, but I’m personally more interested in the behind-the-scenes videos than another statue.

  • Here Are All The Updates And Maps From Battlefield V’s EA Play Presentation

Here Are All The Updates And Maps From Battlefield V’s EA Play Presentation

Right after the Apex Legends bloc during EA Play, Battlefield V revealed new maps and updates coming alongside the Chapter 4 update starting on June 27th, and a tease for the upcoming Chapter 5.

After responding to player feedback, Battlefield V announced two major updates for the game’s multiplayer. The online max rank, previously capped at 50, has been increased to 500, to be implemented in August. EA also discussed private games, allowing players to host their own multiplayer lobbies and play with their friends. Private games will be released in September.

Alongside these updates, new maps for the upcoming Chapter 4 update were revealed. Marita, a map taking place in a small rural village in a mountainous region of Greece, is built for intimate, close-quarters infantry combat. Al Sundan, a map set in the North African campaign, is a huge, sprawling map built for vehicle and infantry combat, described during the reveal as “classic Battlefield”. Al Sundan will be released with Chapter 4 day one, on June 27th. Marita will be released later in July. A third map, described as a re-imagining of Battlefield 3’s Operation Metro, is set to be released in October.

Two other maps were teased, one in the Nordic countryside and another in Provence, France, with no release date. These maps were built to support smaller game modes, holding most of the combat in tight environments and enclosed spaces.

With Chapter 4’s release rapidly approaching, EA Play also teased what’s coming for Battlefield V Chapter 5. The presentation revealed the Chapter 5 will be bringing the Pacific Theater to the multiplayer, bringing three maps including Iwo Jima sometime this fall. These maps come with new, amphibious units as well.

Battlefield V is available now on EA and Origin Access Vault, and will be available on EA access for PS4 on launch.

  • Everything You Need To Know About Apex Legends Season 2

Everything You Need To Know About Apex Legends Season 2

Apex Legends’ fans have been eagerly waiting to learn what the next big update for the game entails. Today, during EA Play, they got their answer.

A 30-minute presentation broke down everything you can expect to hit the popular Titanfall battle royale spin-off, including details on the new character and modes. Here are the biggest talking points.

    When does Season 2 start?

    July 2.

    What’s it called?

This season is called Battle Charge.

    What does Battle Charge bring?

    • A ranked division that will allow skilled players to compete for bragging rights.
    • A new weapon
    • The 10th legend: Wattson
    • Teased changes to King’s Canyon
    • Smaller tweaks to gameplay

    Who is Wattson?

The new legend is an engineer with defensive ability set. Within the lore, she’s the daughter of the man who created the ring for Apex’s universe and gets along well with all the other Legends (including Caustic). Respawn describes her as “the Legends’ kid sister.”

    What are her powers?

Passive:  Immediately use an accelerant to get access to her ultimate.

Tactical: Wattson can create electric fences that damage enemies by placing up to 12 nodes. Player has free rein to place them however they want. Fences don’t hurt teammates. Enemies who cross the fence will be pinged so that your squad knows where they’ll be.

Ultimate: Wattson’s ultimate is called the Interception Pylon. It shoots down projectiles and charges the squad’s shields as well as Watson’s tactical, allowing her to build electric fence fortresses quickly.

    What’s the new weapon?

It’s Titanfall 2’s L-Star, which leaked a few months ago. The L-Star is a rapid-firing energy weapon capable of dealing  a lot of damage quickly. This one is restricted to Supply Crates so you won’t find it on the ground.

The Ranked mode? What’s that about?

Season 2 debuts a new mode called Ranked 1.0. Here’s what Respawn says about it:

In Ranked, players will be matched by skill as they compete to reach the top of six individual tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Apex Predator), earning exclusive cosmetics and rewards at the end of each season based on where they place.

    The Map Is Changing?

Fortnite’s map has a habit of literally altering and transforming in certain ways during every season. A small tease at the end of the Apex Legends section of the stream showcased, Wattson flying next to some massive eyeball of a supposedly winged creature. Executive Producer Drew McCoy wouldn’t say anything other than that “changes” were coming to King’s Canyon during season 2.

    What Else?

Respawn also teased some minor tweaks coming to what’s already in the game, included buffs for the often criticized Mozambique to make it “useful.”

  • Apex Legends’ New Character Is The Scientist Wattson

Apex Legends’ New Character Is The Scientist Wattson

At EA Play today, Respawn announced the newest character for Apex Legends coming along with the game’s season two: Wattson. The mega-genius young woman is part of the lineage of the creators of the in-universe game and presents a lot of new counter opportunities the developers are excited about.

Wattson, as a scientist and electrical engineer, can place fences wherever she wants to block enemies from getting the drop on her while she’s doing something time-consuming. She can also drop pylons that charge your team’s shield and can act as a turret defense mechanism. Wattson is like a mobile fortress unto herself. It doesn’t hurt that her passive charges her ultimate faster than everyone else and also helps her team’s ultimates, so Respawn wants to encourages players to start spending ultimates faster.

This is all part of a talk of Respawn season two, which we’re covering in more detail in a separate post.

Among such titles is none other than acclaimed 2010 PlayStation 3 exclusive Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch which is gaining a remastered version on the competition and the original re-release on the Nintendo Switch
