That’s a lot of games.
The Nintendo Direct presentation earlier this week was filled with so many quality announcements it was mindblowing at times. There were games we were expecting to see, like Overwatch, and then others such as Deadly Premonition 2, that completely shocked us.
To help Switch owners absorb everything, the Nintendo of America Twitter account has now uploaded a graphic, showing off all of these announcements and games. Some of the games featured are already out and have simply been updated, while others are being released later this month and year. We’ve also got some arriving early next year. Adds another 100 levels.
The long-awaited expansion to Celeste, titled Farewell, finally has a release date on PlayStation 4. It’s dropping on Monday 9th September, bringing with it 100 levels and 40 minutes of new music from Lena Raine. And best of all, it’s completely free.
The DLC introduces new mechanics and items to uncover, offering you a chance to reconnect with characters you might have fond memories of. Alongside the confirmation was the announcement that the studio name Matt Makes Games Inc. has been dropped henceforth.

Hideo Kojima, the myth, the man, and the legend has gone on record stating that he doesn’t understand what’s going on in his own game. Good luck to anyone else trying to figure out what Death Stranding is all about then.
In an interview with the Financial Times and reported by VG247, Kojima said: “Death Stranding… even now, I don’t understand the game. Its world view, gameplay, they are all new. My mission is to create a genre that does not currently exist, and which takes everyone by surprise. There is, naturally, a risk in that…”

Is the Sony Alpha A9 II around the corner? A leaked image that’s appeared on a rumor site suggests the model may not be far away.
The original Sony A9 (pictured above) was released back in 2017, and has represented Sony’s most capable option for sports and action photographers. It was subject to a significant firmware update earlier this year that ramped up its autofocus capabilities with the arrival of Real-time Tracking technology.
Now, Sony Alpha Rumors claims it’s obtained an image that shows the sequel – and you can see it for yourself below.
The image shows what appears to be the rear of the Sony A7R IV, with the same style of Multi Selector and revised position of the rear command dial, but the left-hand side of the top-plate is fitted with a similar kind of drive mode collar and dial that the A9 has in this position.
Is it real? It certainly looks credible. Sony Alpha Rumors goes on to speculate that the model will feature a 36MP sensor, and that all will be revealed in October.
