  • HELLFIRE review for Sega Genesis

Classic Game Room reviews HELLFIRE for Sega Genesis released in 1990 by Toaplan and Seismic! This insanely hard side scrolling space ship shooter (or SHMUP) is for those looking for a serious, SERIOUS challenge! Bump anything and die. Get shot and die. Crash into a shot into a bump into die and die. Hard levels and that chunky Sega Genesis style make this a cool game but really frustrating with R-Type checkpoints and power ups that cause you to speed and die. CGR Hellfire video review for Sega Genesis (aka Sega Mega Drive) has 16-bit horizontally scrolling shooter action in HD!

  • Classic Game Room HD – GALAXY FORCE 2 for Sega Genesis

Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of GALAXY FORCE 2 for the Sega Genesis Megadrive 16-bit video game console. The Mega Drive has a number of space related games and first person shooters, Galaxy Force 2 is an arcade port from the arcade machine.

This retro old school classic video game allows you to pilot a spaceship through space and fight robots, mecha, mechs and a variety of enemy alien bad guys. Made by Sega, Galaxy Force 2 is a science fiction based fps first person shooter style with a space ship flying through the stars. Do you like Space Harrier, Omega Boost or Project Sylpheed? Then this game might be for you. We didn’t think it was one of the best Genesis cartridges but it could have been worse.

  • YAKUZA DEAD SOULS review for PS3

Classic Game Room reviews YAKUZA DEAD SOULS for PlayStation 3 from Sega, wild zombie survival game combined with numerous odd minigames, ping pong and Karaoke! CGR Yakuza Dead Souls video review has gameplay from Yakuza Dead Souls on PS3 showing zombie slaughtering action and massage parlor weirdness in HD glory. Mow down zombies and level your Yakuza bad guy good guys up with new movies and earn money to upgrade the minigun and shotgun into a serious arsenal of doom. Yakuza Dead Sould is like Dead Rising meets GTA meets Sega’s quirky arcade style seen in games like Chu Chu Rocket and even Shenmue. Yakuza Dead Souls packs hours of gameplay into this massive adventure filled with side quests and hostess dating (yeah, meet a virtual girlfriend and eat some virtual fried chicken!). Fun characters, solid gameplay, good humor and a cool storyline make Yakuza Dead Souls another hit from Sega in 2012. This game belongs on your shelf in between Binary Domain and Vanquish.

  • The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse for the Super Nintendo

Video game review of The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse for the Super Nintendo by Capcom. Disney’s iconic rodent embarks on a sidescrolling adventure full of magic and fantasy as he tries to rescue his dog Pluto from the evil Emporer Pete. To spice up the usual platforming action, Mickey can also put on various costumes with new abilities, taking the role of magician, firefighter, or mountain climber. Varied gameplay and good range of difficulty make this a solid platformer with graphics and sound to match Disney’s classic storybook atmosphere. This CGR Undertow video game review features The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse gameplay footage and commentary from CGR Undertow reviewer Kevin.
