Mugen Souls Z Official English Trailer
Our favorite Undisputed God of the Universe, Chou-Chou, returns with her crew for a brand-new story revolving around the zodiac. Taking place immediately after the first game, you take control of the goddess Sylma, who meets Chou-Chou before the end of the first game’s events. Sylma is out to stop an ancient threat to her world that has recently awakened. 9999 levels of maniacal mishaps and ethereal adventures await Sylma, her crew, and hordes of Shampurus as Mugen Souls Z hits Western shores in 2014!
Mugen Souls (圧倒的遊戯 ムゲンソウルズ) is a RPG developed by Compile Heart with collaboration from GCREST and published in NA and the PAL regions by NIS America. Due to the questionable nature of the game’s portrayal of child protagonists, certain aspects of the western release have been edited and some mini-games have been disabled. A sequel titled Mugen Souls Z has been announced with a release date in Japan of April 25, 2013.
The main protagonist of Mugen Souls, Chou-Chou, plans to conquer the universe by subjugating the seven worlds it comprises, as she thinks the planets look pretty. Traveling from world to world with her trusty companion Altis, and loyal peon Ryuto, Chou-Chou aims to turn the heroes and demon lords of each world into her ‘peons’ (servants), saving the world from conflict in the process.
Gameplay revolves around exploration and turn-based, open-field combat (same as Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2 gameplay), and the game also includes mini games and customization.

Drakengard 3 – English Language Trailer
PS3-exclusive Drakengard 3 will be coming to North America and Europe this May.
Drakengard 3 is a modern hack and slash game that revives traditional Japanese style anime. The main character of this game is Zero, a young lady that has magical powers as well as versatile physical capabilities. The brave heroine takes on fictional enemies such as dragons and other mythical creatures. With each level, Zero’s abilities become stronger and she is capable of delivering powerful attacks on foes. Drakengard 3 also features aerial combat as Zero rides her own personal dragon by the name of Mikhail. This type of soaring combat feels like modern fights between airplanes and other aircraft. The storyline of Drakengard 3 involves a very in depth plot that’s based on Zero’s pursuit to kill her own sisters. She is also followed by loyal minions that provide some moral and combat help throughout the missions of the game. -

Borderlands dev will "probably" announce an Xbox One/PS4 game this year

What does an Xbox One/PlayStation 4 game from acclaimed Borderlands developer Gearbox Software look like? It might not be long before we find out. Writing on Twitter recently, Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford teased that we might get to see one of the studio’s new projects as early as later this year.
“We’re working on next-gen. Platforms TBD,” Pitchford said to a fan who asked when the developer would show off an Xbox One game. “We’ll probably announce something later this year.”
During a panel at PAX Prime last year, Pitchford revealed that Gearbox Software was working on two new IPs for Xbox One/PS4 in addition to other unannounced projects. The studio confirmed in 2012 that Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 had been reimagined as a new IP, but that still leaves (at least) one more to be announced.
Borderlands 3 is not in development, Pitchford says, but Gearbox Software is collaborating with The Walking Dead developer Telltale Games on an adventure game called Tales from the Borderlands.
Next week in Boston, Mass. during PAX East 2014, Gearbox Software will hold its annual “Inside Gearbox Software” panel. As part of this presentation, Pitchford and other Gearbox Software executives and writers will “chat more about Borderlands and Homeworld!” Gearbox Software acquired the Homeworld IP from THQ during its bankruptcy auction.
Attendees can also expect to enjoy “all the great surprises” from Gearbox Software during the panel, to be held Sunday, April 13 starting at 10:30 a.m. EDT. GameSpot will be in attendance.

Ubisoft won’t say if Watch Dogs runs in 1080p on PS4 and Xbox One

Will open-world action game Watch Dogs run in 1080p on Xbox One and PlayStation 4? Fans want to know, but Ubisoft isn’t prepared to confirm just yet. Writing on Twitter today, creative director Jonathan Morin said “resolution [is] still being finalized on both PS4/Xbox One…”
Unconfirmed reports previously suggested that the PS4 version of Watch Dogs would run in 1080p while the Xbox One iteration would perform at something below that level. If this ends up being the case, it won’t be the first time a multiplatform title has been visually superior on Sony’s console.
Morin was, however, prepared to answer a question regarding Watch Dogs’ frame-rate. He said that the PS4 version’s frame-rate is currently “very stable/constant.” He didn’t say anything about the frame-rate for the Xbox One version of Watch Dogs.
Morin also revealed a smorgasbord of other Watch Dogs details through his Twitter account, the most interesting of which are listed below.
- “Normal” enemies will go down easily (2-3 bullets, or 1 in the case of a headshot).
- If you join invade someone else’s game, chases can last for 20-30 minutes if both players are highly skilled.
- There won’t be any microtransactions.
- Recommended PC specs are not yet finalized.
- Won’t feature “unnecessary gore” for takedowns. “Blood spatter is in there, but don’t expect heads blowing up.”
Watch Dogs launches May 27 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC. The Wii U version, which is definitely not canceled, launches sometime later.
