  • Bloodborne Boss Guide: How to Beat Micolash, Host of the Nightmare

    Recommended Level: 60

Don’t let Micolash’s cowardly evasive tactics get to you. Locking on is recommended to track him through the map’s hallways and mist. At the same time, don’t worry about catching up to him; he’ll eventually wind up in a more manageable space. Feel free to ignore his minions unless they’re constantly distracting you while you deal rapid melee blows against Micolash. Be sure to keep your distance when you’re regaining stamina and health as he tends to unleash a far-reaching tentacle attack.

At 50% health, Micolash will run away again, leading you to a new part of the map. He’ll temporary elude you by shutting a gate between the two of you. If you explore the upper areas well enough, you’ll come across a room with a ledge leading to a long drop. Rather than pointlessly jumping, turn toward the doorway on the right. There you’ll find the open ceiling leading to Micolash. Now would be a good time to make an entrance with a falling attack.

In this last phase of the battle, there are no minions to worry about, but Micolash has a new attack in the form of a multi-beam salvo. Either have enough health to suffer the attack or be ready to dodge roll. The rest of his moves should be familiar to you by now. The shortened version of your melee weapon should beat out Micolash’s own melee moves. Again, just be sure to keep your distance when recovering stamina.

  • Bloodborne Boss Guide: How to Beat The One Reborn

    Recommended Level: 60

The One Reborn is a big boss, but one with enough surface area to make it a very easy target. Make your way to its base, but feel free to melee attack its outer limbs along the way. Its fireballs are a nuisance, but aren’t so harmful that you can’t just recover health using the Regain System while you continue to pummel The One Reborn’s base.

When you’ve reduced its health to about 30%, listen for a growl from The One Reborn. You must roll away from it or else you’ll be caught in a painful shockwave. Continue to keep your distance because it will most likely follow up that shockwave with a series of rapid foot stomps. You can resume your close-quarters attacks after this temper tantrum.

  • Bloodborne Boss Guide: How to Beat Amygdala

    Recommended Level: 60

Between Amygdala’s grapple moves and potent laser attacks, this boss may seem like a frustrating handful. But on the contrary, this is one of the more straightforward boss fights in Bloodborne, with no major tactical shifts mid-battle.

The key is to focus on its tail and hind legs, although any of its other body parts are worth hitting if you’re close enough. Amygdala’s jump is an obvious sign its aiming to body slam you, so simply roll away from your current position. Same goes for any time it lifts any of its hind legs.

League Of Legends Should Keep Its Ridiculous April Fool's Joke Going

A single balance update or new feature isn’t usually enough to rev up the whole League of Legends community. This week, though, the entirety of the vocal League-playing internet collectively lost its shit. Why? Because the game made a joke too funny for its own good.

Discover The Further in 'Insidious: Chapter 3' International Trailer

    Insidious: Chapter 3

It’s feeding on her soul. If we don’t hurry, it’s going to get her.” This summer brings us the origin of evil in the horror prequel Insidious: Chapter 3. While the latest US trailer didn’t really go out of its way to mention The Further, this one directly references the spiritual plane. This time a widowed father (Dermot Mulroney) and his daughter (Stefanie Scott find their lies terrorized by the dead. I’m interested to see how this ties back into the first two chapters of the franchise beyond the paranormal expert characters (Lin Shaye, Angus Sampson and Leigh Whannel) involved. It certainly looks pretty unnerving. Watch! ›››

First Teaser Trailer for Documentary About the Late Amy Winehouse

    Amy

Back in 2011, the music industry was rocked by the tragic, but sadly not unexpected, news of the death of Amy Winehouse at the young age of 27. Now Senna director Asif Kapadia has decided to paint a portrait of the late singer, with a focus on her meteoric rise to fame, and how she didn’t expect so much fame, and therefore wasn’t equipped to handle it. A24 picked up the documentary for distribution in the United States (it’s their first doc they’ll distribute), and the teaser trailer has just arrived with a montage of archived clips, interview snippets and foreshadowing quotes about the tragedy that was waiting all along.
