  • Pokémon: Let's Go Pikachu And Eevee Won't Include Pro Controller Support

    Not again!

In the lead up to the release of Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee!, there’s been much discussion on the developer’s end about going back to the series’ roots and providing an accessible experience for players of all levels.

It seems this accessible design will extend to the controls – with the game seemingly not supporting the Switch Pro Controller. While players will be able to use Joy-Con, the special Poké Ball Plus accessory and even the touchscreen to a certain extent to play the game, a listing on the Japanese and Korean eShop serves as a reminder the traditional control method will not be an option.

  • Soapbox: That Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct; Let's Talk About It

    Mr Sakurai, I don’t feel so good…

Unless you’re one of the few that couldn’t give a monkey’s about Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, you’ll no doubt at least know the gist of what occurred yesterday during the final Nintendo Direct for the game. If not, get yourself in gear and brush up.

Now I personally have been a flipping enormous fan of Smash for what feels like an eternity, and whilst I’m aware some people were a little bit knocked out of shape by what the Direct had to offer, I personally feel is was absolutely ruddy fantastic, even if it did drag a bit in the middle with the informational diarrhoea during the segment about spirits. That final moment with the adventure mode being revealed, that was a moment right there.

  • Balloons Will Heighten Your Chances Of Winning Fortnite's Battle Royale Mode

    Going up.

Epic Games has continued to refine and improve its free-to-play battle royale mode in Fortnite to help give it the edge over any potential competitors. It’s this fun and accessible design that sets it apart from the rest – with the addition of trolleys, llama piñatas and plenty of funny character costumes.

In the latest patch – version 6.21, balloons have been added. There are no surprises for guessing what this item does. With it, you can float high up into the sky and avoid battles altogether. Based on the trailer, the more balloons you have, the higher you go. You can also release balloons to lower yourself. If your character is shot out of the sky, there might even be a chance to break your fall by crafting something on the way down. Take a look at the clip above to see balloons in action on the battlefield.

  • Blizzard's Loot Goblin amiibo Will Hoard Treasure For You This December

    Earn money fast.

Following the rumours from earlier this week, Blizzard Entertainment has now confirmed the existence of the Loot Goblin amiibo – arriving at some point this December. The exclusive amiibo for Diablo III: Eternal Collection will allow Switch players to summon a portal and gain access to “untold riches” according to the official description. The announcement was delivered via the company’s official Twitter account:

Arguably, it’s the most unique-looking third-party amiibo yet – featuring a red base and a design that does not perfectly match the original creature in the game. Noticeably, the packaging for the amiibo is also different. Many Blizzard fans have pointed out the figurine is a recoloured version of an existing Treasure Goblin toy from the Cute But Deadly series. If any other Diablo-themed amiibo are revealed, it’ll likely be at BlizzCon’s main event starting on 2nd November and finishing on 3rd November.
