Queen of the Desert US Trailer

“It is something that you in your world would never understand…” Atlas Distribution has debuted a new US trailer for Werner Herzog’s Queen of the Desert, starring Nicole Kidman as the legendary Gertrude Bell, who was an important figure in Middle East relations in the early 1900s. This isn’t the first trailer we’ve featured, however the other trailer was an international version, this new one has a much more epic, Lawrence of Arabia-esque feel. Which is what they’re really selling it like, with Robert Pattinson playing T.E. Lawrence and everything, but it’s really a story about Bell’s life. The cast includes James Franco, Damian Lewis and Jenny Agutter. This trailer does really give everything its got to try and sell tickets. ›››

Watch: New Trailer for 'The Transporter Refueled' Starring Ed Skrein

    The Transporter Refueled Trailer

“No one is getting out of the car, now drive!” “Seatbelts – now!” EuropaCorp has debuted the new trailer for The Transporter Refueled, the return of the Transporter franchise. Technically this is the 4th film in the series, following Jason Statham’s trilogy. “Game of Thrones” actor Ed Skrein takes over and becomes the “Transporter” this time, driving a few special packages in slick cars all across Europe. This very much feels like just another retread of the same material, throwing lots of stunts and action into a weird storyline about a driver. It actually doesn’t look so bad, but I think I prefer Hitman: Agent 47 a bit more. Take a look! ›››

Paul Thomas Anderson is Writing Robert Downey Jr's 'Pinocchio' Film

    Pinocchio / Paul Thomas Anderson

Say what? Yep, it’s actually true! THR is reporting that critically acclaimed filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson is the latest to get involved in the developing the live-action Pinocchio project at Warner Bros. Actor Robert Downey Jr. has been attached to star (as Geppetto) and produce for a few years, but now it seems Warner Bros and Downey are looking at PTA to write the script – and potentially direct as well. I don’t know if I can really imagine it – Paul Thomas Anderson’s Pinocchio. Wow? I guess it will certainly be one-of-a-kind. Thanks to the success of films like Disney’s recent live-action Cinderella, they’re pushing forward on this with more momentum. And this is one of the next steps after Downey has been working on it quietly. ›››

  • Review: 'Magic Mike XXL' Surpasses the Original on Every Last Stage

Review: 'Magic Mike XXL' Surpasses the Original on Every Last Stage

    Magic Mike XXL Review

Channing Tatum is America’s sweetheart. All he does is win, win, win. Even when you think he has taken on a dud or a sequel that couldn’t possibly live up to the original, he and the films in which he performs have a way of shocking you with excitement. This is true, as well, of Magic Mike XXL, a sequel to Tatum’s coming out party to Hollywood stardom and a film that, biggest shock of them all, surpasses its predecessor. Smarter, sexier, and cooler, Magic Mike XXL is an invigorating piece of entertainment, a solid dramedy about friends and coworkers – even if those coworkers are fellow, male strippers – and a relevant and honest look at the current state of the sexes. Most important of all, it’s a better film than the first one. ›››

  • Andrew Niccol to Write Lionsgate's 'Monopoly' Movie in the Works

Andrew Niccol to Write Lionsgate's 'Monopoly' Movie in the Works

    Monopoly

Will they finally pass Go and collect $200? It sounds like it will happen this time! Lionsgate has announced officially that they’re moving forward on development with a Monopoly movie, the next big franchise being readied based on a Hasbro brand. For years and years we covered development on Ridley Scott’s version of a Monopoly movie at Universal, and it seemed like it was getting close to happening at one point. However, this new version doesn’t have a director involved just yet. Instead, they say that writer/director Andrew Niccol (of Gattaca, Lord of War, In Time, The Host and Good Kill most recently) will be writing the screenplay. Not directing, just writing. That’s the only bit of news other than that this is coming soon. ›››

Gerard Butler is Back in First Teaser Trailer for 'London Has Fallen'

    London Has Fallen Teaser Trailer

They blew it all up!! The first teaser trailer has debuted for London Has Fallen, the sequel to Olympus Has Fallen starring Gerard Butler as Mike Banning and Aaron Eckhardt as the President. Both of them are back again, along with Morgan Freeman, in London Has Fallen which does indeed bring the action to London. Melissa Leo, Radha Mitchell, Angela Bassett, Jackie Earle Haley and Robert Forster also star, but not everyone is in this footage yet. This teaser sets up the “London Has Fallen” showdown, putting Butler & Eckhardt at the center of “a plot to assassinate all the world leaders” in London. I’m sure it’s going to be full of ridiculous action and crazy twists, so if you’re excited for this you know what to expect. ›››

Must Watch: First Full Trailer for 'Creed' Starring Michael B. Jordan

    Creed Movie Trailer

“Every punch I’ve ever thrown has been on my own.” Warner Bros has debuted the first must see trailer for Ryan Coogler’s Creed, a follow-up to the Rocky movies starring Sylvester Stallone as Rocky. He appears in the film since he fought Apollo Creed throughout so many of the original films. Creed’s son decides to go all the way in boxing, and asks for Rocky to train him. Michael B. Jordan stars in a once-in-a-lifetime performance as Adonis Creed, also including Sly Stallone, Graham McTavish, Tessa Thompson and Phylicia Rashad. I think this looks phenomenal, one of my most anticipated movies coming up this fall. I’m a huge fan of Ryan Coogler and it looks like he’s really making an unforgettable film. Teaser Trailer for Oliver Stone's 'Snowden' is Missing the Footage

    Snowden Teaser Trailer

The most wanted man in the world. Open Road has debuted a teaser trailer for Oliver Stone’s Snowden movie, his retelling of the Edward Snowden story. Stone has been passionately and intensely working on this film for years ever since his Martin Luther King, Jr. project fell apart. As much as I’d love to say this is an exciting reveal, the teaser contains no footage – only some music and text and eventually an upside down American flag. Big deal. Aren’t we all familiar with this already? Give us something, give us some footage, a single shot of Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Snowden would do. Oh well, we’ll keep waiting for some footage. ›››
