Can you help us find Dory? Where did she go this time? Disney-Pixar have unveiled a gorgeous set of four teaser posters for Finding Dory, the upcoming sequel to the beloved animated adventure Finding Nemo. This animated sequel sees Dory, voiced by Ellen DeGeneres, getting lost on a search for her parents, and Marlin, voiced by Albert Brooks, joining with Nemo to head back out and save her. We’re still waiting to see more footage and get a better sense of the story aside from the original details (see paragraph below) but otherwise, I’m very excited for this just because I love all the different fish and animals found in the ocean. “How’s the high life?” “Prone to fits of mania, narcissism, and power failure.” Studiocanal UK has debuted a full-length trailer for Ben Wheatley’s film High-Rise, starring Tom Hiddleston as one of the newest residents of the top floor of a massive high rise complex that represents social classes. Jeremy Irons plays the man at the very top, joined by a cast including Luke Evans, Sienna Miller, Elisabeth Moss, James Purefoy, Keeley Hawes and Sienna Guillory. This is looking like the kind of dark, devious, dastardly film I’m anxious to see right now. Don’t let us forget who our friends are, nor who are our enemies.” eOne in Australia has debuted the first official trailer for the film The Patriarch, otherwise known as Mahana down in New Zealand, the latest drama from filmmaker Lee Tamahori (who previously made films like The Edge and Die Another Day before circling back around). The film tells a tale of family rivalry and reconciliation, set against the stunning backdrop of rural New Zealand in the 1960’s. Temuera Morrison stars as Grandfather Mahana, along with Akuhata Keefe and many other fresh young faces. This trailer starts fairly slow, but picks up and becomes something quite beautiful and alluring by the end. ›››

Leave the real world behind. Even though it’s barely a week into February, I’m impressed by the amount of high quality marketing material we’ve seen this year so far. While I must acknowledge that the marketing for Deadpool has been brilliant across the board, and this new poster for Allegiant is worth pointing out, the best poster art released this year so far is for Ben Wheatley’s High-Rise. The film already premiered last year and played at a few festivals (read Jeremy’s review or Amanda’s review) but has yet to be given a US release date, even though it opens in the UK in a few months. These posters are promoting the UK release, which is perhaps the explanation behind why they’re so unique. View both High-Rise posters in full below. ›››

“Have you ever danced with anybody?” Alchemy has debuted the official US trailer for Yorgos Lanthimos’ latest film called The Lobster, starring Colin Farrell. The film is mostly in English, set in a dystopian future where single people end up at a villa where they must find a mate within 45 days or be turned into an animal. It’s a brilliant mockery of modern society and romance, and some moviegoers will totally fall or it, while others will find it annoying. The full cast includes Rachel Weisz, Léa Seydoux, John C. Reilly and Ben Whishaw. This trailer starts to show more of the second half where Farrell ends up with a group hiding out in the forest, all in pursuit of Weisz. “Here kitty, kitty!” Warner Bros has unleashed the new green band trailer for the comedy Keanu, starring Keegan-Michael Key & Jordan Peele. This is the regular green version of the red band trailer that was debuted a few weeks ago, just before the Sundance Film Festival kicked off, which sold me already. Key & Peele star as “black nerds” that go on a mission to find and rescue their missing kitten named Keanu. The supporting cast also includes Luis Guzmán, Will Forte, Nia Long, Rob Huebel & Method Man. I’ve been excited to see this ever since I heard about it and the footage looks hilarious, love these two comedians. ›››

“There’s never been a better time to visit our great city.” Whoa! Now these are cool TV ads, not just your conventional TV spots. Turkish Airlines has debuted two different 60-second TV ads that are also promoting Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman. Each spot is a travel ad for visiting either Gotham City, hosted by Wayne Enterprise CEO Bruce Wayne, played by Ben Affleck; or Metropolis, hosted by Lex Corp’s CEO Lex Luthor, played by Jesse Eisenberg. There is mention of Metropolis’ “heroes” and they show Superman flying around. I just love the way these TV spots are presented, like they’re naturally a part of the world, and an airline deal is totally normal. They run back-to-back on TV and are very effective. “I saved your life by bringing you here.” Paramount has debuted a new 30-second TV spot during the Super Bowl for Bad Robot’s sneaky little sci-fi film 10 Cloverfield Lane, directed by Dan Trachtenberg, of the short Portal: No Escape (follow him on Twitter at @DannyTRS). Mary Elizabeth Winstead stars as a woman who wakes up in an underground bunker after a car accident, but doesn’t know what’s out there or why she’s stuck there. She’s joined by John Goodman and John Gallagher Jr., and most of the film takes place in the bunker with these three. The final shot in this TV spot is quite a doozy – either that’s a huge reveal from the third act or just a big tease, but I’m not sure what they’re showing. Don’t miss this one. ›››

Chris Evans stars as Cap, friend of Bucky played by Sebastian Stan, and they end up squaring off against Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr. This also features a cool face-to-face shot of the two different sides brewing in this Marvel “Civil War”, including Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Paul Bettany as Vision, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlett Witch.
