  • Alan Wake Finally Available Again on Steam, Soon Returning to Xbox Store

After being pulled from Steam and the Xbox Marketplace for music licensing issues, Alan Wake is once again available on Steam, Humble and GOG and will soon be back on the Xbox Marketplace.

Developer Remedy tweeted the good news, saying the game’s publisher Microsoft was able to renegotiate the rights to the licensed music in Alan Wake, allowing the title to be sold on Steam once more. Remedy also let fans know it would be coming back to Xbox “Very soon!” Though some were concerned the music in question would be removed from the game, the developer confirmed Alan Wake’s music is still intact.

  • Will GTA 5 Fans Like Red Dead 2?

    BEYOND!

As part of this week’s episode of IGN’s weekly PlayStation show, Beyond!, host Jonathon Dornbush is joined by Kinda Funny’s Greg Miller to discuss Red Dead Redemption 2, and whether fans of GTA V and GTA Online will take to it.

Note: this conversation was recorded and originally posted before the embargo for Red Dead Redemption 2 reviews, and so both Jonathon and Greg are speaking about Red Dead 2 solely from the experience of trailers and previews released. The two discuss whether Red Dead 2’s possibly slower pace and more expansive, wider world — one less densely packed than that of GTA V — will appeal to what players have been enjoying about GTA V and Online since its debut.

  • Xbox Players Are Upset About Fallout 76's Exclusive 'Early' Beta

The original announcement of the Fallout 76 beta detailed that Xbox One players would be given early access to the beta – one full week ahead of PlayStation 4 users.

However, many players’ expectations of the amount of playable time in that exclusive beta window don’t align with the reality, as Bethesda announced Wednesday on Twitter that the second beta time slot after Tuesday’s first 4-hour opening, wouldn’t be until Saturday, Oct. 27, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm ET.

In Bethesda’s post on their website Tuesday, they detailed aspects of the “Break-it Early Test Application” saying the beta may be offline for a day or two while they review data from the beta itself. Responding to IGN’s request for comment, a Bethesda representative emphasized that all of the current information is in the aforementioned existing blog post.

  • The Best PS4 Games

If you’re just now picking up a PlayStation 4 or PS4 Pro, you’re in luck — there are a lot of fantastic games to play. So whether you’re just buying a system, or have owned once since the 2013 launch and are looking to play the greatest hits, these are the best 25 games you can play, as ranked by a group of our biggest and most knowledgeable PS4 fans.

Review scores factored into compiling this list, but the ranking takes many more aspects into account. The ways these games take advantage of the PS4, the design risks they’ve taken, the unique experiences, the influence they’ve had on the industry, and more all played a role in helping us narrow down the system’s wide library to just 25 games. (One caveat — we did not include PSVR games, as the intention of this list is to suggest what someone picking up just a PS4 or PS4 Pro console should play, and so we can’t necessarily expect new buyers will have a PSVR setup.)

  • A New Pokemon Go Clone Is About Collecting Catholic Saints

With the Vatican-supported new augmented reality game Follow JC Go, you can catch all of your favorite saints and learn a little bit about Catholicism at the same time.

According to the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, Follow JC Go, uses similar AR technology to Niantic’s Pokemon Go, but in place of the Pokemon you’re familiar with, you’ll be “capturing” saints and other famous religious figures. The app was reportedly developed by the Fundación Ramón Pané, a Floridian evangelical group.
