Watch This: First Trailer for 'The World of the Ghost Fleet' Doc Film
“Brother, please jump… if you want to stay alive. If you want to live, jump.” A few years back we featured a trailer for an indie documentary called Rising from Ashes, about a Rwandan cycling team. The producers behind that doc are back with their latest project, titled The World of the Ghost Fleet being directed by Jeffrey Waldron, about modern day slavery in the Thai fishing industry. The first teaser trailer has launched and it’s beautiful, a harrowing look at a shady industry most of us know nothing about. I love the music in the trailer, I love the footage, I admire how chilling it is, and I even love the film’s logo. Word is this won’t be ready until early 2016, but I’m already anticipating it and hope to bring attention to it as they finish up. ›››

Grunge Icon Profiled in 'Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck' Doc UK Trailer
Following a premiere at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, the documentary Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck is coming to HBO in May. But in the United Kingdom, the film is hitting theaters in April, and a trailer from across the pond has just arrived for the film profiling the iconic grunge musician who left us all too soon. Cobain’s life is brought to life with never-before-heard music, home movies, animation and the musician’s own art, combined with interviews with those closest to him. This was one of our favorite docs at Sundance as we called it “an impressive and enriching documentary,” even for non-Nirvana fans. Watch! ›››

Miles Teller Set to Lead 'The Life and Times of the Stopwatch Gang'
Last year was a good one for Miles Teller. His indie Whiplash was a huge Oscar contender (even though his performance wasn’t), and he also had three other films released in 2014 (Divergent, That Awkward Moment and Two Night Stand). This year he’s almost as busy with The Divergent Series: Insurgent coming next week, the boxing drama Bleed for This arriving sometime this year, and the comic book reboot Fantastic Four looking promising (watch the trailer). Now he has another project for his future slate as The Wrap reports he will lead The Life and Times of the Stopwatch Gang, based on The Atavist article. ›››

Guy Ritchie Shows Off First Look at His 'Knights of the Roundtable'
As we await the arrival of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. this August (the first trailer doesn’t look half bad), director Guy Ritchie is already in production on his next film, the medieval action drama Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur. Taking the title role is “Sons of Anarchy” and Pacific Rim star Charlie Hunnam, and we get a glimpse at the actor in the role as Ritchie has just posted a photo from the set of the film, showing off a set in the middle of the woods. No sign of any of the other cast members yet, but we’re bound to get a look at them later this year since the film is already slated for release next summer. Look! ›››

'Blade Runner' Sequel Writer Boards 'Murder on the Orient Express'
Back in the fall of 2013, we learned there was development of a remake of the 1974 Sidney Lumet mystery Murder on the Orient Express, an adaptation of Agatha Christie’s 1934 novel of the same name. Ridley Scott was producing with Simon Kinberg (writer of X-Men: Days of Future Past and Sherlock Holmes) and Mark Gordon, but there was no writer on board yet. But that’s changed now as Variety reports Green Lantern writer Michael Green, who is also working with Scott on the Blade Runner sequel with Harrison Ford starring and Denis Villeneuve directing, will script the remake for Scott Free Productions. 'TRON Legacy' Sequel is Reportedly Shooting in Vancouver This Fall
It’s been a couple years since we heard anything about a sequel to TRON Legacy, the 2010 sequel to the classic 80s sci-fi adventure TRON. At the time, the project was said to be on the fasttrack, but here we are without any solid development being reported. However, we might get some news sooner than we think if a report from Vancity Buzz (via Badass Digest) is to be believed. They say that Disney has greenlit what will the third film in the TRON series and filming is already being schedule to begin in Vancouver at the beginning of October of this year with Garrett Hedlund being the only cast member confirmed to return. ›››

UK TV's Sam Strike to Lead 'Texas Chainsaw' Prequel 'Leatherface'
It looks like there’s some real talent in the United Kingdom TV series “EastEnders.” Following the casting of the British series’ Ben Hardy in an unknown role in X-Men: Apocalypse, now The Wrap reports his fellow cast member Sam Strike is in talks to lead Leatherface, a prequel to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise that’s in the works at Millennium Films. Strike will play the killer in an origin story that shows where Leatherface came from in his early years during the 1970s (thus fitting with the original film’s timeline). We’re not sure what to expect from this since it’s from the producers of the 2013 franchise reboot. ›››

Ben Foster to Play the Villain in Ron Howard's 'Inferno' Adaptation
After solidifying most of the cast last month, Ron Howard’s adaptation of Dan Brown’s adventure thriller Inferno, one more key cast member has been added to the mix. Tom Hanks returns as Robert Langdon, the symbologist who always gets in over his head from The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons in a story that sees him suddenly waking up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, forcing him to team up with Dr. Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones) to help recover his memories in order to prevent some psychopath from unleashing a global plague that is tied to the classic Dante’s Inferno. Now Ben Foster is set to play the film’s villain. ›››
