Apple MacBook Pro Touch Bar Hacked To Run Doom
Almost every gaming platform powerful enough to cope with the sprite-based id Tech engine plays host to a port of Doom. Not only that, pretty much any piece of hardware with a screen and microchip can be made to run a version of id Software’s genre-defining shooter, such is the adaptability of the code. Just don’t mention the Sega Saturn slideshow featuring horrifying net curtain pinky demons. With this in mind, it appears that somebody looked at the new Apple MacBook Pro’s touch bar and thought “I reckon that will run Doom…” and so it was decreed. And then Doom was made to run on the MacBook Pro touch bar. And it was glorious. Stretched beyond recognition and virtually unplayable…but glorious nonetheless.
