Need Xbox Live Gold and Some Gears of War Socks? Here's an Option

Video game retailer GameStop has published its latest weekly ad–and there is one item in particular that stands out. Apparently in celebration of the upcoming launch of Gears of War 4, the retailer is now selling a 12-month Xbox Live Gold subscription with a pair of Gears of War-themed socks for $60.

$60 is the normal price for a year-long membership. As for the socks, they normally go for around $15, so it’s a nice bonus if you’re already planning to re-subscribe to the service and want some new socks. The cool-looking socks feature the franchise’s trademark Crimson Omen.

According to GameStop’s weekly ad, the Xbox Live/Gears of War socks bundle is exclusive to GameStop.

It’s not the first time a retailer has given away video game-themed socks. Last year, Best Buy offered a Fallout 4 bundle that came with blue Vault Boy socks.

Gears of War 4’s official release date is October 11, but if you buy the $100 Ultimate Edition, you can start playing tonight at midnight. The Ultimate Edition is also included with the $450 Xbox One S bundle that goes on sale tomorrow, October 7.
