The new Scorsese movie is on the way. There have been handfuls of paparazzi set photos and other leaked images, plus news about production troubles, but after waiting patiently they’ve released the first official photo from Martin Scorsese’s Silence, which just finished filming in Taiwan. EW.com recently debuted the photo from Silence, showing actor Andrew Garfield as Father Rodrigues, a priest who travels to Japan to confront the rumors that his mentor has abandoned the Church. He’s seen embracing Shinya Tsukamoto, who plays a villager named Mokichi. It’s one simple shot but it’s powerful and speaks volumes about what kind of film we’ll be seeing. And I can’t wait.
