'Project Almanac' Director Ready to Morph for New 'Power Rangers'

Back in February, there was a lot of buzz about Power Rangers, but that’s because there was a gritty, R-rated short film that went viral online. But in case you forgot there’s a real feature film adaptation of the action television series in the works at Lionsgate, and it sounds like the studio has found their director with The Wrap reporting Project Almanac director Dean Israelite is currently in talks to get behind the camera. The film keeps the mythology of the show intact by following a new group of high school kids who find themselves infused with extraterrestrial powers and must harness those new powers to save the world. ›››
