Hot on the heels of news that The Hobbit franchise star Luke Evans had taken the villainous role of Gaston in Disney’s live-action retelling of Beauty and the Beast, we finally have the man who will take the other titular role opposite Emma Watson as Belle. THR reports Dan Stevens, star of The Guest and Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, has taken the role of the Prince cursed to be a beast in the film that will be directed by Dreamgirls helmer Bill Condon. So far the entire cast is British, but it remains to be seen if they will use their native accents or put on American accents like the characters had in the animated version. ›››
