Pokémon are usually named after the sounds they make, unless those sounds are, well, screaming. We see this in action in the comic drawn by Justin Hall of Jhallcomics.com. The unnamed spelunker probably had a list for these cases.

The Barden Bellas have already conquered the United States. In Pitch Perfect 2, they take on the world. Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson lead the cast of the a capella sequel, which hits theaters May 15. This time, the Bellas will attempt to win the world a capella championships, something no U.S. team has ever done. Along they way they’ll bond, go camping, haze new recruits and explore what looks like an underground world of a capella that includes David Cross, NFL star Clay Matthews and more.
But Pitch Perfect 2 isn’t all fun and games, as you’ll see right at the beginning of this trailer. It looks like there’s gonna be some emotion along side the jokes, part of the formula that made the 2012 original such a big cult hit. Below, watch the first Pitch Perfect 2 trailer.
Thanks to @PitchPerfect for the trailer.
Pretty solid, right? I love that director Elizabeth Banks – who also reprises her role as a capellea announcer Gail – starts the trailer with Cups, the huge hit single that came out of the first movie, as a way to ease us back into the world of Barden University, Then things just go crazy, giving us tons of teases for what looks to be a huge, huge movie.
I mean, what is that house of a capella with those cameos? Why are graduated seniors, played by Adam Devine, Anna Camp and Brittany Snow still around? And why does the entire world hate the United States? Well, that last question is inferred as opposed to answered in the movie.
The trailer also only touches on the fact Hailee Steinfeld is a huge part of this sequel as one of the newest Bellas, and there’s no mention that Katey Sagal is in the film too. But we get David Cross, so that’s awesome.
I’ve been looking forward to Pitch Perfect 2 since I walked out of the last one and have since seen it several dozen times. Knowing very, very little about the sequel before seeing this trailer, I was both surprised and encouraged. Banks looks like she knows what the first film did well, and is keeping that tone while expanding everything else.
Pitch Perfect 2 opens May 15. What did you think of the first Pitch Perfect 2 trailer?

Mike Nichols, the award-winning director of films such as The Graduate, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, and Working Girl, has died. No cause of death has been given. He was 83. He is survived by his wife, ABC News Anchor Diane Sawyer, as well as three children and four grandchildren.
ABC broke the sad news. Born in 1931 in Berlin, Nichols moved to America at the age of 7 as his family fled from the Nazis. It was while at the University of Chicago that he began moving toward the arts. In the 1950s he joined a comedy group with Elaine May. The pair released three albums between 1959 and 1962 including 1960′s An Evening with Mike Nichols and Elaine May, which won the Grammy for Best Comedy Performance.
He earned his first Tony in 1964 for the Broadway production of Neil Simon‘s Barefoot in the Park, and followed it up in 1965 with another Tony for The Odd Couple. His work got the attention of Hollywood, and in 1966 he made his film directing debut with Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? The film was a massive success, earning 5 Oscars and another 8 nominations.
His next movie was The Graduate, which won him the Academy Award for Best Director. Since then, he’s helmed another 16 films including Working Girl, The Birdcage, Closer, and lastly Charlie Wilson’s War. He also directed the HBO miniseries Angels in America, which got him the Emmy. Nichols was one of the very few to win the EGOT — an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony.
Throughout, Nichols remained involved in theater as well, racking up still more Tonys for Annie, Spamalot, and the 2012 production of Death of a Salesman starring Philip Seymour Hoffman and Andrew Garfield. His last theatrical production was Betrayal starring Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz.
Nichols had lately been involved in a new HBO adaptation of Terrence McNally‘s play Master Class, about opera legend Maria Callas. The project would have reunited him with Meryl Streep. As of last year, he was also considering teaming with J.J. Abrams for a new movie called One Last Thing Before I Go.

The word “alien” is a big deal when talking about Prometheus and its potential sequel. Ridley Scott‘s film was, after all, a return to the universe he helped create in his defining 1979 film Alien. The signature alien — the xenomorph — from that film even made an appearance in altered but recognizable form at the end of Prometheus. But for the sequel, which will follow the character played by Noomi Rapace on a new journey, Scott says there are entirely new plans in mind. See what Scott has to say about new aliens in Prometheus 2 below.
Talking with The Australian (via SciFied) Scott had a few things to say about the sequel:
[Prometheus 2 is] fresh” and “getting away from gods and dragons and shit. If I see one more dragon I’m going to shoot myself. Stop the dragons.” Rather than a dragon, Scott describes his original Alien as “the definitive dragon and he’s a motherf . . ker. The alien’s real which is why it’s probably one of the scariest monsters in film history,” Scott says. “So withPrometheus 2 what I’m trying to do is reintroduce a fresher form of alien in the third act.” The Prometheus “baby” alien was, he concedes, “awfully close to the alien” that tormented Sigourney Weaver. His next one promises to be very different.
So it’s not that there will be no aliens, but that they will be different. And, really, no big surprise there. Scott demonstrated with Prometheus that he isn’t simply interested in rehashing the same old concepts from Alien, so there’s no reason to expect him to change that path now. There’s a bit of paraphrasing in that quote above, but the Australian promises a more full account of the interview, which was timed to promote Exodus: Gods and Kings, will run this weekend.
Scott also mentioned the Blade Runner sequel in passing, saying “that’s written (and) it’s really good.”

The Woman in Black was something of a surprise success — the old-school supernatural thriller had the advantage of surprise, and of Daniel Radcliffe in one of his first post-Potter roles. Radcliffe and the surprise factor are not a part of the sequel, but there’s still a serious creep factor in The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death, as a bus full of kids fleeing the Blitz in London arrive at the supernaturally dangerous Eel Marsh House. (And the film is called Angel of Death, which should be enough to generate some interest.) Check out the full-length Woman in Black 2 trailer below. This is a much different trailer compared to the one we saw last month. It is more focused and much more compact — it’s one of my new favorite one-minute edits.
The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death opens on January 2, 2015. Trailer via Fandango.
During the London bombings of World War II, school teachers Eve Parkins (Phoebe Fox) and Jean Hogg (Helen McCrory) lead a group of children in evacuation to Crythin Gifford, a remote village outside of the city. When the group takes up residence at the Eel Marsh House, 40 years after Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe) investigated the first haunting, Eve soon realizes they are not alone. The longer they stay in the house, the more the awful past of the residence unravels itself and the evil spirit that lurks around them threatens the well-being of the children. With the help of a pilot (Jeremy Irvine), Eve does all that she can to protect the children and discover the truth behind the Woman in Black.

To Azimuth is an “alien abduction mystery” set in Alabama, circa 1978. You play both characters of a sister-and-brother team looking into the disappearance of their brother, and work your way through a story that’s heavily inspired by stuff like The X-Files.

A number of artists worked on Dragon Age: Inquisition, and I don’t mean to ignore their contributions to what is a very pretty game , but I have a thing for Matt Rhodes’ cartoonish style of concept art in particular.
