Pirates, of course, are notoriously greedy – but they’re also incredibly shrewd. And don’t forget, they’ll kill you, if given the chance.

Mark Wahlberg and Seth MacFarlane return for Ted 2, in which Wahlberg plays an adult whose childhood toy has come to life — and now the sentient teddy bear wants to have a child. That poses some obvious potential problems, and the Ted 2 Super Bowl spot is kind of a mini-heist scenario showing how the duo attempts to deal with the situation. Specifically, they try to get Tom Brady to donate a little genetic material to the process… except that he doesn’t know that’s about to happen.
This spot doesn’t even get into all the real meat of the story — that Ted wants to be legally declared human, which puts him before a judge with the help of a lawyer played by Amanda Seyfried. But why waste time on that stuff when there’s a football-appropriate sequence to riff on?
Ted 2 opens on June 26.
Seth MacFarlane returns as writer, director and voice star of Ted 2, Universal and Media Rights Capital’s follow-up to the highest-grossing original R-rated comedy of all time. Joined once again by star Mark Wahlberg and fellow Ted writers Alec Sulkin & Wellesley Wild, MacFarlane produces the live action/CG-animated comedy alongside Bluegrass Films’ Scott Stuber, as well as John Jacobs and Jason Clark.

While everyone else was glued to the Super Bowl, Pixar’s Inside Out gang was scoping out the Puppy Bowl. Needless to say, the different emotions (voiced by Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Bill Hader, Lewis Black, and Mindy Kaling) reacted in very different ways. Watch the Inside Out Puppy Bowl trailer after the jump.
Inside Out opens June 19.
Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.

![‘Jurassic World’ – Compare Updated Effects to Shots From Original Trailer [Photos]](https://playerschoicegames.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/jw-2-new-700x300.jpg)

Jurassic World got our attention with a new Super Bowl spot today, and the film looks significantly different now than it did a couple months ago. We often wonder if effects from early trailers will be significantly changed between that trailer and the full movie. It’s rare that we get to see as quick a change as we do from the original Jurassic World theatrical trailer and this new Super Bowl spot.
Quite a few shots appear in both trailers, but more than half a dozen look at least a bit different. Some are massively changed. Check out side-by-side comparison of old and updated Jurassic World effects below.
In each pair of images below, the original is on the left and the updated is on the right. In the gallery view, each is also marked new, or original. These shots are all taken from the YouTube postings of each trailer on Universal’s official YouTube account. They are as close to exact frame to frame comparisons as possible, though with YouTube it is sometimes difficult to grab exact 1:1 comparison shots.
Click the shots for enlarged gallery views.
OK, first pair doesn’t have huge differences, but you’ll see some lighting tweaks, and better details.
But this second pair is hugely different, with a totally re-composed background that alters the park’s geography and architecture, altered water effects, and more subtle lighting.
This shot is a good callback to the original film. In the new version, there are more dinos, and the lighting is slightly softened.
These two shots are very similar from old trailer to new, but you’ll notice some lighting tweaks.
Remember this shot from the first trailer? Now we know what the people were running from. The pterodactyl attack is one of the big moments in the new trailer, but surprise! It was in the first trailer, in very unfinished form.
The primary difference here is lighting, which you’ll notice is softer, revealing more detail in the velociraptors.
But the lighting changes in previous shots are nothing compared to this. There’s far more light in this shot now, revealing more of the velociraptors and also Chris Pratt’s character.
And, once again, a huge lighting change, and there’s also far less foliage in the way of the shot. Presumably the raptors are more finished, and can be shown in better light.
Of course, there are also many new shots in the Super Bowl trailer, which you can see here. What else did we miss in the updated effects? And if these changes have been made in the past few weeks, how much more can we expect to see between now and the final release?

Mario Maker, the Wii U game that will allow players to create their own Mario levels, may arrive later than we’ve expected.
The game was scheduled to release in the first half of 2015 when it was first announced at E3 2014, and is still listed with that release window on Nintendo’s site. However, Nintendo’s recent earnings release for the nine-month period that ended on December 2014 includes a list of the company’s upcoming games and launch dates, which now shows Mario Maker with the less specific release date of “2015.”
Project Guard, legendary Nintendo designer Shigeru Miyamoto’s experimental tower-defense game that relies heavily on the Wii U gamepad, which was also scheduled to release in the first half of 2015, no has a “2015” release date as well.
For more on Project Guard, check out our hands-on impression of the game from E3, and for more on Mario Maker, check out GameSpot’s previous coverage.

Last week, Star Citizen developer Cloud Imperium Games held its 2015 Town Hall presentation at PAX South, where it discussed various aspects of the space sim at length. Yesterday, Cloud Imperium uploaded videos of the presentation to YouTube, where you can watch the developers discuss the game’s wormholes, persistent universe, and much more.
In the first part of the persistent universe presentation (above), you can see some early NPC character models, and early concept footage of what jump point navigation will look like. It also includes footage of Star Citizen’s in-game AR, MobiGlas. It’s a functional, contextual interface solution for shopping, accessing information, and any other part of the game where you’d need a menu or head-up display (HUD). You can read an exhaustive explanation of the team’s plan for MobiGlass on Star Citizen’s website.
Overall there’s around six hours Star Citizen talk, which you can find in the links below
Star Citizen, which is already the most successful crowdfunded project in history, is now closing in on $72 million, up from $70 million just a week ago.
For more on Star Citizen and Roberts himself, check out part one and part two of GameSpot’s interview with the legendary designer.
