It’s easy to forget now, but Team Fortress 2 was once as big a punchline among Valve fans as Half-Life 3 is today.

Earlier this year a viral video introduced us to Vincent D’Onofrio‘s character in Jurassic World, and we definitely got the vibe that he could be some sort of villainous character in the summer blockbuster. Plus, let’s not forget that he’s playing Kingpin in Netflix’s series adaptation of “Daredevil” from Marvel Studios. Now the actor has lined up another key bad guy role as Variety reports D’Onofrio will be giving Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke some trouble in MGM and Sony’s remake of The Magnificent Seven, which in itself was a remake of Akira Kurosawa’s classic Seven Samurai. So who will he play? ›››

Are record stores finally making a come back?! Maybe, maybe… While most remaining video rental shops slowly start closing their doors, on the other side of the world a record company has decided to open a brand new vinyl store located in the town of Margate in the UK. Death Waltz Records, known producing fresh vinyl copies of soundtracks old and new, has announced that they’re opening an actual brick ‘n mortar store in the UK that will be called Transmission Records. The store will “offer the very best in soundtracks, library and electronic music as well as an expertly curated selection of artworks and designer toys”, with an emphasis on anime and Japanese soundtrack pressings, they say. This isn’t really mainstream movie news, but as a cinephile and movie geek this is news I am always looking out for, as this place sounds cool already. ›››

While Kevin Smith is rounding up the cast to shoot Mallrats 2 next year, right now he’s getting ready to shoot Clerks 3. And coincidentally, this fall will bring a biopic about how the filmmaker launched his career with the original Clerks, an indie hit at Sundance in 1993. Shooting Clerks will feature familiar faces like Smith himself, Jason Mewes, Brian O’Halloran, Scott Mosier, Walter Flanagan and more, but they won’t be playing the character’s from Smith’s film or even themselves. Instead an unknown cast is bringing to life these characters in the story of how Clerks came to be, and a teaser trailer has just arrived. It looks like a student film, but in a charming way, and seems to be something that Smith’s fans will enjoy. Watch? ›››

“As the world fell, it was hard to know who was more crazy. Me or everyone else.” Now that it’s spring, we’re getting closer and closer to the May release of the insane action extravaganza Mad Max: Fury Road. The film will play at Cannes Film Festival in France, but only one day before it’s unleashed here in the United States. And to continue hyping the film, a new extended TV spot for the film starring Tom Hardy (with an unrecognizable voice again) and Charlize Theron has arrived with some new footage. It seems like this film is one massive car chase across the post-apocalyptic desert, and that’s just fine. Watch! ›››

The blockbuster summer of 2015 is almost upon us, and we should be getting some new glimpses of the tentpole releases sooner than later. And since last night brought the finale of “The Walking Dead,” and studios new that millions would be watching, Universal Pictures unleashed a new TV spot for Jurassic World. There’s not tons of new footage, but there’s definitely some stuff we haven’t seen before. In fact, this spot reveals that the Indominus Rex had already killed its sibling before it begins trekking across the park and killing for sport. This hybrid dinosaur is certainly going to be a force to be reckoned with. Watch! ›››

Five grandmasters hunted by a serial killer. This actually looks way better than it sounds, so give it a look. Well Go USA has released a trailer for Kung Fu Killer, a new film starring martial arts master Donnie Yen killer and a kung fu expert, who convinces the police to recruit him to track down a serial killer in return for his freedom. Sounds like the perfect kind of plot for a cheesy martial arts movie, but it seems to be a few notches above that. Charlie Yeung, Baoqiang Wang, Bing Bai, Deep Ng and Alex Fong also star in this martial arts thriller from Hong Kong. The big skeleton set piece looks cool, and all the action gets awesome in the second half of this trailer, so don’t stop watching too early. I really want to see this! Enjoy. ›››

Nearly a year ago, Hugh Jackman indicated that the sequel to The Wolverine (which we can basically say is Wolverine 3 if we count X-Men Origins) may be his last time putting on the claws as the nearly invincible mutant he’s been playing since X-Men in 2000. But the next month, he pulled back the reins a bit saying he was less sure of that sentiment as time went on. Since then, he’s been said to be in talks for the next solo Wolverine movie and even an appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse (though maybe not a key role like in Days of Future Past). Jackman was even quoted last month as saying he wanted to play Wolverine until he died. But a new post from the actor on Instagram seems to indicate otherwise now. Look below! ›››
