“Not a day goes by where I don’t miss you deeply.” This isn’t anything like Pineapple Express or Your Highness, but it is another unique film from director David Gordon Green. His latest film, aside from Joe, is the drama Manglehorn starring Al Pacino as an aging locksmith in Texas who longs for the lost love of his life. Holly Hunter, Harmony Korine and Chris Messina also star. This trailer is a rather beautiful setup for a very tragic, low key film that doesn’t amount to much. Most of what you see in here is what is in the film. I wish I could say it’s even better than this trailer is – since I saw this at TIFF last year and it’s okay, not that great. That said, if you have been waiting to see Al Pacino back at his best, start here. ›››

“A picture that goes beyond what men think about – because no man ever thought about it in quite this way!” The beloved classic is back! At least in the UK for now. BFI is re-releasing Federico Fellini’s 8 1/2 (or 8½) later this summer utilizing a digital restoration put together by the Criterion Collection. Criterion also released a brand new Blu-ray of 8 1/2 a few years ago, and now BFI is bringing back the cinematic classic to show on the big screen again. “Cited (especially by filmmakers) as one of the greatest films ever made, Fellini’s extravaganza – now restored – blends autobiography, fantasy, satire and self-critique.” An abstract and mesmerizing look at the struggles of being a movie director, 8 1/2 is a must see for any & all cinephiles. ›››

There’s no doubt that Captain America: Civil War will be one of the biggest blockbuster events next year when it hits theaters on May 6th, 2016. But now we know that it will be about as big as it can get with some full-format IMAX footage shot for the massive screen. In fact, this IMAX footage will be the first to use a new 2D digital IMAX camera, which was created after the giant film format company realized they needed a camera that took advantage of their massive screen, but didn’t need to be shot in 3D or on film. IMAX CEO Greg Foster says, “This is where there was a gap and now we’re filling this gap in our arsenal.” ›››

We haven’t even begun to expand the DC Comics cinematic universe with Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice yet, but the future slate of superhero films at Warner Bros. is already having some trouble. THR has learned that director Michelle MacLaren has dropped out of the director’s chair for Wonder Woman, one of the DC Comics films that would give the Justice League heroine her first big screen venture. The studio says, “Given creative differences, Warner Bros. and Michelle MacLaren have decided not to move forward with plans to develop and direct Wonder Woman together.” Well, that’s a bummer. More below! ›››

When we featured our list of the 20 Most Anticipated Films of 2015, one of the comedies on the list was the reboot of the 1983 classic comedy National Lampoon’s Vacation. Now the film is simply called Vacation, but there are still solid ties to the original franchise with Ed Helms leading the film as a grown up Rusty Griswald, getting ready to take his own family out on a vacation just like his father (Chevy Chase) and mother (Beverly D’Angelo) did when he was a kid. The two original stars of the four-film comedy franchise reprise their roles as Clark and Ellen Griswold, and now we have an official first look at the film. ›››

Production is underway for Zoolander 2, the sequel to the 2001 comedy starring Ben Stiller as the titular really, really, really, ridiculously good looking male model. The original film had the unfortunate task of opening in theaters just a couple weeks after the attacks on 9/11, and it’s been a long road to get a follow-up off the ground, but it’s finally on the way. We’ve gotten some teases of the film with a big announcement at fashion week in Paris followed by a real photo shoot with Zoolander himself, as well as Owen Wilson has Hansel. And now we have a glimpse at a new character, Zoolander’s teenage son, played by Cyrus Arnold. ›››
