  • Fast and Furious 8's First Trailer Release Date Revealed

Fast and Furious 8's First Trailer Release Date Revealed

Fast 8 opens in theaters next year, but we’ll get our first look at the next entry in the action series this December. Franchise star Vin Diesel revealed the first trailer’s release date on his Facebook page.

The trailer releases on December 11. We’ll keep you updated on when it goes live.

It’s still unclear what the movie’s plot is, so it may be the first time we’re given an idea of what Dominic Toretto and his crew will get up to. In addition to Diesel, the movie sees the return of actors The Rock, Michelle Rodrigues, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Lucas Black, Jason Statham, and Kurt Russell. Fast 8 also introduces Charlize Theron (Mad Max: Fury Road) and Helen Mirren (The Queen), who are both expected to play villains.

Fast 8 hits theaters on April 14, 2017. The sequel sees a change in directors. Helming this time around is F. Gary Gray, who replaces acclaimed director James Wan. Gray is best known for his directorial work on films such as Straight Outta Compton, Law Abiding Citizen, and the Mark Wahlberg-starring remake of The Italian Job.

There’s been some drama around the production of Fast 8, specifically between The Rock and some of his male co-stars.

“Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t,” The Rock said on Instagram. “The ones that don’t are too chicken s**t to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling–you’re right.”

  • Official Trailer for Chris McCoy's Ensemble Sex Comedy 'Good Kids'

Official Trailer for Chris McCoy's Ensemble Sex Comedy 'Good Kids'

    Good Kids Trailer

“It should be us together!” Vertical Entertainment has released a trailer for the ensemble comedy Good Kids, about four high school kids looking to redefine themselves after graduation. This cheesy sex comedy is about a bunch of kids trying to figure out what to do with themselves after they get out of school, mostly who to hook up with. Starring Zoey Deutch, Nicholas Braun, Israel Broussard, Mateo Arias, Julia Garner, Ashley Judd and Demián Bichir. I’m sure we all know this, but Zoey Deutch looks a lot like Isla Fisher, though doesn’t seem nearly as funny. This doesn’t look that good, but if you’re curious give it a shot. ›››

  • First US Trailer for Assayas' 'Personal Shopper' with Kristen Stewart

First US Trailer for Assayas' 'Personal Shopper' with Kristen Stewart

    Personal Shopper Trailer

“We made this oath – whoever died first would send the other a sign.” IFC has released an official trailer for the latest film from French filmmaker Olivier Assayas, titled Personal Shopper, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. This sorta-horror film deals with a young women who is haunted by a ghost through text messages (seriously). She works as a “personal shopper” for a famous celebrity, picking up clothes all over Europe for her to wear. The cast includes Lars Eidinger, Sigrid Bouaziz, Anders Danielsen Lie, Ty Olwin, Hammou Graia, Nora Van Waldstatten, and Benjamin Biolay. This will likely be a very polarizing film, as it’s not really the typical horror most expect, but does have a chilling side. ›››

First Trailer for Netflix's 'True Memoirs of an International Assassin'

True Memoirs of an International Assassin

“Or… is it so beyond stupid, it’s brilliant? He might actually be the real dude!” Netflix has debuted a trailer for a new comedy titled True Memoirs of an International Assassin, which they produced as a Netflix Original Film. Kevin James stars as an author named Sam Larson who gets mistaken for a killer-for-hire when his fictional novel about an international assassin is published as a true story. The concept is amusing, but not sure if Kevin James is the best fit for this, though I’m sure he was involved in the deal early on. The full cast features Andy Garcia as “El Toro”, Maurice Compte, Kim Coates, Kelen Coleman, Emilie Ullerup and Yul Vazquez. There are a few cringe-worthy moments in this, the rest doesn’t look that bad. ›››

Must Watch: Adam Driver in First Trailer for Jim Jarmusch's 'Paterson'

    Paterson Trailer

“Without love, what reason is there for anything?” Bleecker Street Media & Amazon Studios have debuted a trailer for one of the best films this year – Jim Jarmusch’s Paterson. I totally adore this film, I saw it twice at the Cannes Film Festival because I loved it so much, and it’ll definitely be in my Top 10. Paterson stars Adam Driver as a humble bus driver living in Paterson, New Jersey with his wife, played by the wonderful Golshifteh Farahani. During his free time he writes poems, and it turns out he’s immensely talented even though he doesn’t really realize it. I wrote in my glowing review in Cannes that the film is “poetic perfection, superbly realized. Cinema at its very finest.” This also stars William Jackson Harper and Masatoshi Nagase. Be warned – this trailer shows way TOO much of the film, but it’s still worth seeing no matter what. ›››
