A ton of Chinese cheaters got banned from Overwatch recently, and if we’re going solely by their usernames, our lives are poorer for their absence. Farewell 不上电视直播吃屎, aka “If I don’t get POTG I’ll stream me eating shit”, you will be missed.

Original development and support for MechWarrior: Living Legends, a 2009 Mod of the Year award winner, ended in 2013. If you still want to play the lumbering shooter today though you can, thanks to a persevering group of fans who are keeping it alive.

As much as I love a good conspiracy theory, I never seriously considered that Curt Schilling might have faked his bloody sock. Call me naive but I just couldn’t believe that anyone could be so petty or insecure or narcissistic to use fucking ketchup to fake an open wound, to either give himself an excuse for a poor performance or self-aggrandize his mythos if he succeeded. But with everything we’ve learned about Schilling since he retired, I find myself with more and more doubts. And this latest anecdote might actually swing the burden of proof back on Schilling.

“Don’t let fear stop you from doing the thing you love.” Universal Pictures has revealed one final trailer for Illumination’s latest animated movie musical titled Sing, an ensemble blockbuster comedy about a singing competition hosted by an ambitious Koala named Buster Moon, voiced by Matthew McConaughey. We’ve already seen numerous trailers for this movie before, including an extended 4-minute one, but this final one really packs a punch. The impressive ensemble cast includes Reese Witherspoon, Seth MacFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, John C. Reilly, Nick Kroll, Nick Offerman, Taron Egerton, Tori Kelly and many others. It’s cool to hear some Eminem and Aerosmith used in this, obviously they’re really going all out trying to sell this, and maybe it’ll draw some big crowds. Arrives in theaters Christmas week. Have fun. ›››

“I will not have you trivialize everything I have sacrificed to make things better for you.” This fun indie flick plays nicely with the trailer for Gifted, also about a precocious young mathematician trying to hold her own in school. Cents is a coming-of-age film about a 12-year-old girl, played by Julia Flores, who uses her calculus skills to transform the penny drive at her school into a pyramid scheme. The cast includes Lillie Kolich, Jy Prishkulnik, Claire Carter, Monique Candelaria and Esodie Geiger. I was hoping this might be a hidden gem, but the trailer doesn’t show much promise, unfortunately. Still worth a quick look. ›››

“There are no more patriots – just rebels, and tyrants.” “So which are you?” Oh boy, here we go. Are you ready for more ridiculous shenanigans? Paramount has released the second official trailer for the sequel xXx: Return of Xander Cage, the next in the xXx (“triple X”) series – technically only the third movie in this uninteresting series. Vin Diesel returns as Xander Cage, along with an international cast: Deepika Padukone, Donnie Yen, Tony Jaa, Nina Dobrev, Rory McCann and Samuel L. Jackson. There’s so many insane things happening in this, and as much as I should be entertained, I’m not. This looks so bad, and so cheesy, but it might right up your alley if this is what you like from Vin Diesel. Have fun. If you can… ›››

“Without our passion, it’s very hard for us to find our place in the world.” Vertigo Films has debuted an official UK trailer for a London-based indie drama titled 100 Streets, about three people and three stories that reflect modern day London. Idris Elba stars with young actor Franz Drameh, plus a cast including Tom Cullen, Gemma Arterton, Kierston Wareing, Ken Stott, Ryan Gage, Ashley Thomas and Kola Bokinni. Elba plays a famous retired rugby player who gets involved in drugs. This is a very powerful trailer and they definitely got my attention, but I’m hoping the film isn’t convoluted from all the different stories it’s following. I really do like the way this looks and feels, I’m curious to check it out sometime soon. ›››

“The Science is Clear. The Future is Not.” Good news, documentary fans! National Geographic has released the full-length version of the documentary Before the Flood (watch the trailer), produced by and starring Leonardo DiCpario, online on YouTube for free. Completely free! In fact, if you mention the hashtag #BeforeTheFlood online, they’ll even donate money to different wildlife conservation organizations. It also features a fantastic score composed by Mogwai, Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross, + Gustavo Santaolalla (you can buy the album here). I had the chance to watch this recently and I thought it was a superb doc, inspiring and encouraging. I’ve seen pretty much every single recent doc about climate change and the environment, and this is one of the best. Really. Not only is DiCaprio honest and entertaining, he’s hopeful about our future – as long as we all come together and recognize we need to change. Just watch! Link below. ›››
