See the Mondo Poster + Drafthouse Beer for 'Everybody Wants Some'

    Everybody Wants Some

It’s almost time for a new Richard Linklater movie! To celebrate the occasion, Austin-based theater chain Alamo Drafthouse is going all-out with a new Mondo poster and a special line of beer that they’ll be selling at Drafthouse theaters. The new Mondo poster comes from artist Matt Taylor and it’s a rather trippy design, fitting for the film that is supposedly similar in vibe to Linklater’s Dazed and Confused. The new beer is made by Austin Beerworks and is described as a “dry-hopped Texas Common Beer”, available around Austin soon. “Paying tribute to Rick’s latest with a one-of-a-kind beer from one of my favorite breweries? It’s exactly the kind of project that excites us and blurs the line between work and fun,” stated Tim League. ›››

Susan Sarandon and Rose Byrne in Official Trailer for 'The Meddler'

    The Meddler

“Mom, don’t talk to my friends.” Sony Classics has debuted a trailer for indie comedy The Meddler, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival just last year. Directed by Lorene Scafaria, the film stars Susan Sarandon as a widower who gets a little too close to her daughter, played by Rose Byrne. The full cast features J.K. Simmons, Billy Magnussen, Jason Ritter, Michael McKean, Lucy Punch. The film did get some good reviews, like this from David Ehrlich: “Imagine if Clueless had starred a 68-year-old Susan Sarandon as an overbearing mother and you’ll have the right idea about Lorene Scafaria’s The Meddler, a sweet and sneakily effective portrait of a woman learning how to re-engage with the world after the greatest loss…” ›››

    Ghostbusters Featurette

“How would a proton pack work?” This is cool! Following the debut of the first official trailer for Paul Feig’s new Ghostbusters, a new featurette has been discovered along with a new viral website. Hidden in one of the frames in the various math equations written out on the whiteboard is a web address leading to paranormalstudieslab.com. The site just contains various data and info and documents, so far all about the proton packs. The new featurette is also specifically about the proton packs and the people from MIT they brought in to design them to be as realistic as possible. The perfect compliment to that impressive first trailer, since the new proton packs are featured prominently throughout. Can’t wait to see more from this. ›››

Trailer for IMAX's 'A Beautiful Planet' Narrated by Jennifer Lawrence

    A Beautiful Planet IMAX Trailer

“It’s a giant universe out there – there’s lots of stars, and lots of planets, but there’s no where like Earth.” Indeed. So take care of this beautiful planet. IMAX has debuted a wonderful, uplifting trailer for a new documentary called A Beautiful Planet, directed by Toni Myers, all about how amazing this planet we call Earth is as seen from space. There’s a cheesy song that plays with it, and Jennifer Lawrence narrates some of it, but mostly you should watch this just for all the footage of Earth. “From space, Earth blazes at night with the electric intensity of human expansion — a direct visualization of our changing world. But it is within our power to protect the planet.” We can care more. What a mesmerizing documentary. Watch below. ›››

Must Watch: First Trailer for Paul Feig's New 'Ghostbusters' Movie

    Ghostbusters Trailer

“Someone is creating a device that amplifies paranormal activity. We might be the only ones that can stop it.” Sony Pictures has debuted the first full trailer for Paul Feig’s new take on Ghostbusters, starring an all-female set of Ghostbusters, and a male receptionist. Don’t worry, this looks kind of awesome. No really, I’m impressed – you need to see this trailer. Ghostbusters stars Kate McKinnon as Jillian Holtzmann, Leslie Jones as Patty Tolan, Melissa McCarthy as Abby Yates, and Kristen Wiig as Erin Gilbert, plus Chris Hemsworth as Kevin. They barely show anything with Hemsworth, but everyone else looks really good. It’s sorta funny, it doesn’t take itself too seriously, and it looks really cool – the ghosts are back. Enjoy! ›››

Zoe Saldana in Nina Simone Biopic

“Tell him to get me my money!!” RLJ Entertainment has debuted a trailer via the Today show for a film called Nina, starring Zoe Saldana as the very rambunctious Nina Simone, who was a singer, songwriter, pianist, and civil rights activist. While there was a documentary made about Nina recently nominated for an Oscar this year, called What Happened, Miss Simone?, but this film is a much more powerful drama and features the relationship between Nina and Clifton Henderson, played by David Oyelowo. Both Saldana and Oyelowo look kind of amazing in this, no seriously, they looks incredible. Kind of interesting to follow up the Oscar ceremony – like, look, here is a great black performance!! Or two! The full cast includes Mike Epps, Ronald Guttman, Ella Joyce and Ella Thomas. I’m looking forward to seeing this. Take a look below. ›››
