This simulation game from Frontier Developments features over 50 events and three unique game modes.

It looks like Netflix isn’t showing any signs of backing down from releasing original films on their streaming service to shake up the film distribution game. In addition to landing rights to numerous documentaries, Netflix also has a deal with IMAX to exclusively release the sequel to Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon this year, a four film deal with the Duplass brothers, a film deal with Adam Sandler beginning with The Ridiculous Six and they’re starting production Judd Apatow’s gestating Pee-Wee Herman movie next month. Now Deadline reports the streaming service has just picked up the worldwide rights to Cary Fukunaga‘s lateast film Beasts of No Nation starring Idris Elba (Pacific Rim, “Luther”). ›››

They’ll never leave… Our good friend and producer/co-host of The Golden Briefcase podcast Tim Buel has completed his first feature film, titled In Residence, and it’s now available to watch online for free. Early last year we supporter his Kickstarter for the project, which billed the film as a “shoestring horror flick” that they would shoot on their own for $5000. They got all the funding, and now little more than a year later, they’ve completed work. And to show it off they’ve released the entire horror film online for free for your viewing pleasure. Just don’t forget to support the guys who made this – Tim and Cody Rhyse, since they put everything into this. Following a tease last week from Robert Downey Jr. about a big announcement coming eight days from last Wednesday, it sounds like we finally know what Marvel Studios has in store. A tease on television has revealed that a new trailer for The Avengers: Age of Ultron will arrive on Thursday, March 5th during the series premiere of ABC’s new drama series “American Crime.” Since ABC is owned by Disney, it’s not surprising to see synergy at work here to get as many eyes as possible on one of their promising new midseason series. Production on Oliver Stone‘s drama about NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden is already in production with Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the lead role. The film is simply called Snowden and is already set for release on Christmas Day, so Open Road Films decided to tease the film early on with our first look at Gordon-Levitt as Snowden during his time in the U.S. Army in 2004, an element of his life that many people might not know about.
